Very easy to use volume, drive, bass, and treble controls make tailoring to your tone and amp a breeze. Had some issues at first with too much bass but it was primarily my tube configuration. controls do what they say they do. The manual describes what it does better than i ever could.

all i can say is WOW. I am using a MIM Fender Strat with an older model Peavey Classic 30 with just the Fat Boost 3 as an effect to tame the amp, give a little more drive and tightness. not noisy at all. the effect is subtle as it does not change your tone but does add volume, width, additional harmonics and adds more dynamics to your playing. very very musical. not for metal though it works to drive and overdrive or distortion or as a boost after effects. turning the drive up adds more harmonics and dirt but still remains clear. I tried this against about 5 other boosts/overdrives and this one behaved more like an amp than any of them. Tamed my classic 30. I play casting crowns, lincoln brewster, worship type stuff as well as blues and funk and rock. I wanted to use it at practice one more time to make sure it was what i wanted and kept it on nearly the entire time cause it sounded so good.

I play a variety of music but primarily in a worship band playing worship style music like third day or lincoln brewster. This pedal add the perfect "something" that makes a great amp (classic 30) even sound better. I bought it just for leads but have rarely turned it off. It even makes my amp sound cranked at very low volumes. I have been playing off and on for 27 years and have owned lots of gear. This pedal really adds to the joy of playing and makes my rig sound more "live" I wish it had a bit more drive, but, then it wouldn't be a boost. I compared it against a katana, pork loin, catalyst and about two others i can't remember. This one acted more like an amp while boosting harmonics and dynamics and gain without sounding too fuzzy (i've got fuzz pedals for that) overall great addition and can see it will be one of those pedals i can't live without (which are few and far between)

I use silver face Fender Princetons and Champs
This pedal is dead quiet. Seems to simply boost and fatten a tone that is already good through these amps.
I use the pedal as a boost on top of the Fulldrive 2 which is a great pedal in its own right. This gives me a "three channelish" solution when used in conjunction with the FD2

Just bought it, but my FD2 has been going strong for 5 years.
I will gig without a backup.

I've dealt with Mike first hand on the phone & over the email. He's NOT a freindly guy. He should acquire a personality and a concept that the average customer might like to deal with a manufacturer who at least "seems" to care.
Fortunately his pedals are built well and I hope to never have to talk to him again.
FYI - I emailed a simple request to fulltone to get their opinion about using this pedal along with the FD2....No reponse

I'm looking for a sound that is mainly 70's and this pedal is icing on the cake. Very versatile and would work with any style of music as a clean or dirty boost.
I've been playing for 20 years. 15 of those have been at church.
My setup = Am. Std. Strat > Fulldrive 2 > Fat Boost 3 > analog chorus > analog delay > Silverface Princeton
