Ease of Use : 10
Very easy to use - 3 knobs (volume; intensity; speed) & 2 switches (chorus/vibrato & vintage/modern). There is a manual but you don't need it.

Sound Quality : 10
Great sounding exact clone of the original Univibe. Like the original it's the 'chorus' setting everyone uses & it's that unique swirly Leslie/phase shift Univibe sound.

I use it mainly with a Gibson Les Paul & also a Fender Strat, into a modded Fender Blues Junior.

Perfect for Hendrix / Trower / Gilmour sounds and less swooshy than a straight phase pedal. The sweep has a slight 'V' shape like the original.

The pedal is very quiet & as well as the standard 'vintage' mode, there's a 'modern' setting which is brighter.

Reliability : 10
Built like a tank (as are all Fulltone pedals) & pretty small (especially when compared to the original) approx 15 x 10 x 4 cm. Would & do usewithout a back-up

Customer Support : 10
Excellent customer support - everytime I've emailed Fulltone I get a very quick response from Mike Fuller himself. Mike has a great direct & robust no-BS manner & is passionate about his products.

Overall Rating : 10
Great pedal! I play rock/pop/blues & have done for about 30 years. I had a Voodoo Lab micor vibe but it was crap - don't bother with compromises (Mike Fuller doesn't) & buy this if you want a Univibe clone.

This pedal is very easy to figure out. I plugged it in and had incredible vintage sounds within a few seconds.

Sound Quality : 10
First, let me say that I've been looking for a good vibe pedal for the last year or so and I've tried (and owned) several of them. I'll get right to the point....this is THE vibe pedal to own. Yes, it's a little pricey, but once you hear it, you'll have no regrets.

I was looking for that particular vibe sound (ie: Trower, Gilmour, Hendrix, etc.) and this pedal is IT. Of course, in design, it IS the same pedal as the original. Mike Fuller and the folks at Fulltone have done a superb job recreating this pedal!

It is extremely quiet and does NOT affect your original tone. The True Bypass is truly quiet and clean.

Reliability : 10
This pedal is extremely heavy duty and built to last. I have no doubt it will survive the road. Fulltone also offer a 5-year warranty. Enough said!

n/a - Haven't had to deal with them.

Overall Rating : 10
I play all kinds of music, but primarily classic rock. I've been playing 30+ years and have owned tons of gear and I know the difference.

My signal chain = Various custom Strats --> Budda Wah --> Mini Deja Vibe --> Subdecay Liquid Sunshine Overdrive --> Koch Multitone 2x12 Combo Amp (and a G-Major in the effects loop for delay only). I try to keep my rig as simple and true as possible and the Deja Vibe fits in perfectly, both size-wise and sonically.

I've tried a few other vibes. The Vood Micor Vibe was not bad for the price, but sonically, nothing compares to the Deja Vibe.

The only recommedation I can say is this: Spend the Money, you won't be disappointed. Some things are worth it. This is one of them.

Very easy to use. Instructions are included but you don't need them. Just keep your ears open and tweak to taste.

Sound Quality : 10
For the price you pay (...as the saying goes, "you get what you pay for") it's rich and sweepy. I'm a Hendrix freak and this does it. However, it does cost a small fortune and with that in mind if you want to go a step further get the DejaVibe. The DejaVibe actually has the real-time pedal to control the speed on the fly...of course, the price keeps climbing. You could pay less and have the VoodooLabs Microvibe do an adequate job, but once you try a Fulltone product you'll notice that you'll just have to pay the price if you want "real-deal" sound quality.

The miniDeja will sweep as fast or slow as you want it to and it's realatively silent. The Microvibe does not. However, the micro is over $100 less. So, there you go.

This is a good deal for the money even though it's pricey. Rationalization: If you do end up tiring of this unit you should have no problem selling it used and getting most of your money back...I think? But if you're a vibe-freak like me..ala, Hendrix, Trower, SRV...it's a keeper.Although it doesn't have the foot control like a wah, I think you'll live. The large rubber knob is easy enough to turn with your foot and you can't beat it's overall size.

pretty easy. standard vibe pedal. i'm sure by all of the other reviews you know whats on board here. kinda wish the manual went a bit deeper in explaining the pedal. i have the stereo version and was surprised the LED doesn't switch off or dim (prefered) when the pedal is bypassed. so it leads to guesswork once in a while when your copin' a bad jam and wearing hearing protection. otherwise simple.

Sound Quality : 10
took some tinkering with my board setup. Gibson 59' reissue > fulltone gold cable > HBE psilocybe > HBE mimic 2 > Zvex johnny octave > dejavibe > Fulltone FD2 > Analog man Ts9 808 mod > Zvex super hard-on > Marshall 1959SLP (cabinet w/ greenbacks). THe sound is great! Can do the subtle vibe thing but when put through my analog phase shifter, the tone beefs up a bunch. The tremolo is cool on this thing too. kinda grabs that Audley Freed Black Crowes kinda sound.

Reliability : 10
had it 4 months. no problems. make sure you use it before any of your gain units because it makes a HUGE difference.

Customer Support : 10
e-mailed the tech on with some questions about the bypassing LED and they wrote back the next day. Which in this day is practically unheard of. so i don't understand any of this anti-mike fuller banter i see. fulltone took the time with me to make sure that i knew how to use their product. which means alot. especially since these same questions i asked one of their retailers took them forever NOT to figure out.

Overall Rating : 10
great pedal, great price, great service. i've bought alot of thier products and i cant say i've ever been dissapointed. wish i had the dough to buy one of their TTE's but will have to wait. great pedal!

Could'nt be simpler....volume, intensity, speed, vintage, modern.....

Sound Quality : 10
This thing is as quiet as death! Oh...and the sound!!! I'm getting a SERIOUS Trower/Hendrix stiffy just thinking about it!! It's FANTASTIC!! I've never gotten this close to the 'Bridge Of Sighs' sound in my life!! I've owned a Dunlop Rotovibe...it SUCKED!! This puppy stomps all over the Dunlop!! I'm using a Fender Hot Rod Deville 4x10, 2003 American Deluxe Fat Strat with a DiMarzio Super Distortion in the bridge. My board is as follows...a SKB PS-45... Fulltone Clyde Deluxe Wah, Dunlop Jimi Hendrix classic fuzz, Octave fuzz,Fulltone Mini-DejaVibe,Danelectro Tuna Melt tremolo, Line 6 Roto-Machine, Fulltone Fat Boost,Boss tuner....And my band does A lot of Hendrix,Trower songs and this device suits me PERFECTLY!!!

Reliability : 10
I can depend on this device 100%

Customer Support : 10
Thankfully...I haven't had to use them......but I did e-mail asking for some Fulltone stickers for my guitar cases...and he sent me a bunch!!!

Overall Rating : 10
I play primarily rock/blues, classic rock....old skool stuff!! Playing 25+ yrs. I would ABSOLUTELY buy it again if it were lost or (Godforbid) stolen. I love the sound and vibe of this thing!! I'm not crazy about the price. It's expensive...let's not kid ourselves! But if you're after that illusive Trower/Hendrix sound....this is it!! You're gonna have to pay!! I DID!!

Easy to use. Volume, intensity, on/off, speed, mini toggles: modern/vintage and vibrato/chorus. The speed knob is big enough so you can turn it with your foot while playing. This feature is much better than the other fulltone deja vibe 2 because the speed is better to control than with a pedal. Here the speed increases gradually. With the deja vibe 2 pedal the vibe pulse changes hardly to control from slow to very fast.

Sound Quality : 10
Use it before destortion or fuzz not after. Makes a big difference. UniVibe never sound like leslies. If you want to sound like playing throug a leslie buy a leslie and a muscular roadie. If you want to sound like Hendrix' Machine Gun or Robin Trower play the guitar in the first place and then buy the DejaMiniVibe. Though originally the UniVibe was built to create a sound like playing throug a leslie it never sounded like this. But it sounded very special and cool. Kind of phasing but not a phaser - kind of leslie but not a leslie. The Deja MiniVibe does this magic "In between Sound".
Turn the pedal upside down and turn the knob at the bottom with a screw driver maybe repeating some same riff. At some point there will be that magic phasing "machine gun sound - bingo". Also I recommend to buy a MiniVibe that is younger than born May 2005 because Fulltone made some technical changes in intensity then. The effect is not weak with intensity at all. The pulse is very deep and strong.

I have this since 6 months. No complaints.

Never had to get in contact with Mike Fuller. Don't know.

Trower bought one. Hendrix and Kosoff would buy one.

I am not sure how anyone can find such a small number of controls difficult. Within 20 minutes or so of getting it I'd nailed the sounds I was looking for.
Manual is straightforward and factual.

Giggle, hysetrical laughter, giggle!! Awesome. THE Univibe tone I've been searching for for years. Magic. It really brings a smile to my face this one. :-)
The Dunlop Univibe I recently sold on Ebay so I could get the real deal, doesnt compare. The Dejavibe has that certain something. It's lovely.
Yes it does colour the sound a little and I need the volume on max to balance with uneffected signal. But the Dunlop one killed all the highs - whether on or off. THis baby doesn't.

Only just got it.

I suspect it would be Ace if I needed it.

An awesome Univibe in a small box. Wish I'd seen sense and bought one years ago.

If you want to see my gear please see my MXR Dynacomp review. Hendrix, Trower, Gilmour Univibe sounds live in this little wonderful box.

Just an update on my previous review for this product.
The honeymoon phase is over, and I typically "start from scratch" almost every other week, starting by picking one of my three amps, starting with just guitar, adding a pedal, etc.

The ONLY pedals that make the cut each time are my Ernie Ball volume pedal, and the Deja-Mini-Vibe. I LOVE this pedal and have now had it for a while. I still have issues with the thinness (a good deal because I use it less intensely for most songs) but have gotten around it by either running it together with a tubescreamer with tone control CCW, OR setting the "lead" channel on my two channel amps to be a little bassier. It's not too thin, but this technique improves this for me.
I also use the tone control on the guitar (used to never touch these, but as someone said...they are there for a reason) in clean mode. This pedal is one of the few that consistently adds that little extra...I do sometimes play it with extreme effect, but mostly with it set at less that 12 o'clock.

I'm nobody, but I have played for 30+ years, and I highly reccomend this pedal for anyone interested in a vibe. It is simple, it sounds great and is just one of those pedals you are always glad to see in the lineup :-)
