easy to use. I use it first in my chain then into a reverend drivertrain II and then into a DLS chorus/vibe then into a deluxe reverb reissue. I play an american deluxe strat. play mostly instro surf music, a la, the mermen. This thing is an amazing pedal. actually it's more of an instrument. I love the fact that the light modulates to the tempo, just like the DLS chorus btw, the way that you can switch between hard/soft trem, and fast/slow in tempo. really makes me sound slick. I tried the voodoo lab trem, it's a nice pedal, but just doesn' have the same features that make the fulltone a winner.

Sound Quality : 10
sounds incredible. adds a subtle warmth to the sound. I like putting on a subtle slow trem to give my sound a bit of a violin quality. the hard trem settings stutter in a very musical way.

Reliability : 10
built like a tank. the big knobs make changing settings without bending over nice.

Customer Support : No Opinion
don't know haven't had a chance or a need to get in touch with fulltone. their web site is really slow sometimes.

Overall Rating : 10
I play instro surf. I have a very nice on board trem on my reverb deluxe but I use this pedal instead because I can control it more in a live situation. I would definitely go out and buy another if it was lost or stolen. the only thing I would like to see is a light indicating whether it was in fast or hard mode. if you want a trem and know what the value of a trem is for your sound. save up the money and get a supa-trem.

No probs here. The flexibility on this pedal is very sweet. I had to adjust the internal pot a bit to my likeing but its super easy and took my five minutes to find myself lost for hours in sonic swells

Sound Quality : 10
I play American strats into a Fender amps. Use DS-1(modded by analogman), FTFDII, script phase 100, DM-2, EH poly chorus, oh and the trem.

K, this is the first review i have ever left and although i really love my other effects (Analogman rules! for my DS-1!) this one made me bring it to the people. Fulltone stuff is really really good, but this trem pedal is nothing short of amazing! I couldn't belive what i had in front of me. I have owned the Boss(crappy) and The DM 4(not very good) and although i used the trem on the DM 4 occassionaly i wasn't in awe of it. This trem however is totally different, warm and cozy, AHHHHH! I can't even really explain it. You should just get one. It is great for subtle and in your face propeller spins. I have found a sweet setting where i can switch between both modes and speeds and it is.....yup! The tone on this pedal just makes everything sound better! And to top it all off its dead quiet in bypass, NICE JOB MIKE KEEPEM COMIN!

I play mostly Christian (modern worship stuff) and some harcore, and alt. type stuff. I can see this being part of my permanent rig, without a doubt

Reliability : 10
i have another Fulltone pedal and it is rock soilid. It looks as though this is the same expected quality. Without a doubt very reliable.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with any of these guys. Never needed to, but most boutique guys are right on in the service dept. They sould be, we pay enough

Overall Rating : 10
If it were lost i would def. get another.

3 tone pots and 2 switches (bypass and hard/soft). pretty amazing versitility when its such a small pedal. My one gripe is that it is horizontally based. it takes up a fair amount of space on my pedal board. hence the "9" rating. I love that you can change tempo on the fly, and still keep the beat, and make the trem effect hard or soft. amazing.

Sound Quality : 10
By far the best tremolo pedal I have ever heard. Hand's down. It is an extremely warm tremolo with a very wide, and useable range of effect. It is very quiet with an exception of a slight pulse when used with my distortion pro engaged (???). With my amp's overdrive. the noise is non-existant.

setup:

fender 72 strat w/ noiseless pickups, 69 les paul deluxe, or frankenstein solid ash tele w/ noiseless pu's.

Rivera Knucklehead 100watt amp thru marshall 1960A 4x12 cab.

effects in order: ernie ball volume, fulltone clyde wah, fulltone ultimate octave, line 6 delay modeler, fulltone supra trem, distortion pro (the effect position in the chain is probably why it is noisy), fulltone fat boost...

also, the effect is totally transparent becuse of high quality bypass. great job! I give this effect a very rare "10" for sheer beauty of design.

Reliability : 10
solid as a tank. the wiring inside pedal is beautifully, and painstakingly done. it is the prettiest pedal guts in a pedal that I have ever seen. top grade parts too.

this is the best pedal out of all my pedals (even among my other fulltone stuff), if yuo like tremolo effect done well, here's your baby. thereis nothing really negative about this pedal that I can think of besides it's shape, but that's incedibly minor. i would buy this pedal again if lost or stolen without hesitation.

The mix control, though definetely needed, is a little difficult to set. Switching between hard and soft not so easy but if you just remember a couple of easy settings you can overcome the problem. Rate real easy to set with pulsing LED but it is very important to use this pedal with people who have good timing or otherwise your trem will come out of time (mainly because it doesn't).

Sound Quality : 8
My setup is... Gibson SG Classic w/ Fralin "stock" P90's-->Clyde Deluxe Wah-->Supa-Trem-->Ultimate Octave-->FullDriveII-->Soldano GTO
Line6 DL-4-->Z Vex Super Hard On-->DR. Z KT-45 w/ "Z Best" 2x12 cab (celestion heritage and vintage 30)

I thought the pedal was alright until I played it with a band, then it was exceptional. The pulsing was very robust and subtle enough to not overpower the sound. Tremolo for me is more of a background effect, something you don't notice but "feel". THis pedal can definetely be felt on the hard setting, and though it doesn't have a lot of applications for me it is nice to know it's there. I beleive this to be a quite fine little pedal

Reliability : 10
Fulltone it is, break down it will not.

See above.

Overall Rating : 8
Overall a very good pedal, a little pricey for most but who can put a price tag on good tone? (Mike Fuller and Zachery Vex)If you have the money it's definetely worth it. I knew I liked this pedal but remember, it sounds good in a real band situation and maybe not when you are just playing at home. Supposedly John Fogerty uses it and I'm not one to argue with him

very easy to understand right away. the features have been covered already. can be subtle or extreme. I dig the pulsing LED.

Sound Quality : No Opinion
sounds wonderful. a very traditional effect. something nobody seems to have mentioned--maybe the built-in amp trem sounds a bit better, but you can't switch it on and off in the middle of a song...on older amps especially....to turn off the trem you have to physically walk over and dial out the trem knob. I'm finding myself liking the sound of this box very much, and seeing as I'm running it into some nice tube amps, it sounds very warm. the mix knob is great for controlling how subtle the effect is to be.

Reliability : No Opinion
don't know. I just got it a while ago. I've got lots of fulltone stuff, so far not a single problem. however, I keep them in a heavy-duty pedalboard, covered when not in use.

Customer Support : No Opinion
don't know. never needed it. however, I'm ordering online from now on. I tried to demo one at 48th st. guitars (NYC), and they couldn't be bothered. all they'd do was to describe it to me. thanks guys, I can read the web site too. besides, it isn't any cheaper on the street. musictoyz had it for $199. I think that's as cheap as they get brand new. I guess I didn't have enough tattoos or piercings to merit some service regarding a possible $200+ sale....that's OK, I'll go elsewhere from here on out....

Overall Rating : No Opinion
I'm digging the vibratory pulse-omatic tremulating feel of this box....it's true bypass, so when it's off, my signal transparently goes right to the amp......I'm running an octave fuzz, wah, 2 overdrives, delay, and sometimes a vibe pedal, and this fits in perfectly. I don't care if it sounds identical to an old fender amp....if I want that I'll pull out one of my old Fender amps! I love the ability to add that flavor on the fly while keeping my other options open......it's about as much as I'd like to spend for this effect, but I feel satisfied that I got what I paid for. so far. one thing to keep in mind--all things being equal, it's quality merch. don't expect a pedal to fix your sound problems if you don't already start with a good instrument and a great-sounding amp. at best, it is an ACCESSORY.

It has lots of features but they're all straightforward and easy to understand. Mine is from May 2000. It has true bypass with LED, speed doubler/halfing switch with blinking LED, hard/soft trem switch, and rate and mix knobs. The mix knob balances the lower volume limit and thus the amount of signal you here between volume drops. There is also an internal trim pot that fine tunes the mix range in the soft setting. It took 5 minutes to figure this thing out but I'm still surprised by new trem sounds when I fiddle with it! Takes one 9V or BOSS-style negative core AC adaptor.

Sound Quality : 8
The soft trem setting is very nice and warm. The hard trem sounds cool in itself, too, not too harsh when set reasonably. My only complaint is that I have yet to find a mix setting where I can switch between good hard and soft sounds; if the hard setting is set at anything below a stutter (not the best sound you can get) the soft setting is not audible, except for the boost mentioned in other reviews. If I set the mix for the soft setting at a nice mild vintage-ish level, the hard setting drops off so much you can only hear a microsecond of your signal (not a realistic effect or even a particularly interesting one). I have adjusted the internal pot as much as possible but to no avail. Other than this one annoying thing, this is pedal covers everything I need amazingly well! With individual settings, both modes sound exceptional in any respect.
Here's what I'm using with it:
Fender Mex Tele->Dunlop Crybaby (crap)->Mu-Tron Phasor II->SupaTrem->Mesa Nomad 45 with BOSS NF-1 noise gate and DD-3 Delay in the fx loop.

Reliability : 10
I bought it used off ebay and it has not had a single problem electronically or physically in the 6 months I've had it. Very sturdy construction and yet innards are easily accessible by removing 4 rubber feet (this must be done to get to the 9V battery. No backup required, unless you like to go Townsend on your stuff in which case you're probably not smart enough to read this, anyways.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never had a problem and I don't expect to. Based on reputation I'd give this a 10.

very easy to use. if you cant figure it out you have problems...

Sound Quality : 7
my set up is a gibson sg standard and l.p. standard through a modified fender quad reverb (el34s, trem channel converted to a pre amp. it is also cut into a head) through a tonemaster 4x12. effects used are fulltone fulldrive 2 (incredible) vox wah (does the job) and an A/B box.
the supatrem produces no extra noise at all but it is nowhere near as good as my original trem that i took out. i will probably re-mod my amp back to original trem channel. my biggest beef is the overall warmth (lacking) and sustain(not long enough) of the trem. its TOO CLINICAL and the edge of the wave is too sharp (just not round enough) in tone. i just dont believe that a non tube pedal can reproduce the tone of one generated with a tube. i am open to suggestion to correct my predicament. email me please!

Reliability : 10
fulltone stuff is bullet proof. they burn the batteries fast but they build superior products...

Customer Support : 10
i actually contacted them via internet for putting a bypass in my wah. it was simple and easy to locate...

Overall Rating : 7
i play loud rock n roll in the tradition of the STONES, STOOGES, MC5, RADIO BIRDMAN, NY DOLLS... tremolo can work in this genre but this pedal didnt do it for me.

i have been playing long eneought to know what works for me and what doesnt.

if it was stolen i would collect my insurance $$$ cause the rest of my
efefcts are in the same box...

i love the simplicity, the hard trem soft trem switch, the speed switch (which will double time the wave) i dont hate anything about it. i just dont feel it comes close to duplicating the original trem.

i wish all fulltone products had pots that were not so exposed and easy to turn. playing live my knobs are all over the place. a strip of white medical tape across the tops of the knobs will fix this though (i just figures this one out).

trem in general is a great tool that can be used to great effect when used wisely (gimme shelter is one perfect example)in both ballsy rocked out songs or more mellower stuff...

this is just my opinion... but... i rated this a 7 overall based on its sound/tone quality. all the other stuff should always be there but the sound quality is thee most important...

Very Simple design, laid out well (for a stomp box).

Sound Quality : 9
Quite simply the best sounding tremolo pedal out there. Better than any amp's built in tremolo I have tried (tweed, brown tolex through blackface fenders). Very organic sounding. I like the mid-high tone boost feature as well.

Reliability : 9
Never failed me on a gig.

Customer Support : 10
The absolute best customer service period. I use 3 of Mike's pedals (all of which are must haves for my sound) in my rig. The soul Bender, Fulldrive II (comp cut only) and Supa-Trem. From time to time I use the Clyde Wah and Ultimate Octave. I also own a Fat Boost and 69 Pedal. Last year the Soul Bender Switch failed. I had a replacement switch within 48hrs. Just recently, the hard/soft switch on the supa-trem failed. I decided to take stock, wrote down all the serial numbers and dates for my fulltone pedals and sent Mr. Fuller an e-mail. Mike responded within 2 hours with a request to call for instructions. I had this misfortune of buying most of these pedals within the same time period and most were going to be subject to long term switch failures. Mr. Fuller was very apologetic and was preparing my switches for shipment as we spoke. He paid for the switches and postage. He doesn't like to bull shit, neither do I when I'm working. To anyone who thinks debating transistor selection and designs is an indicator of good customer support, GET A GRIP! Try getting this kind of service elsewhere, you just won't find it. Again, his only concern was to make sure I got my pedals up and running.

Overall Rating : No Opinion
There are some great small pedal makers out there. I own and use many (i.e. ZVex, SIB, Lovetone, Klon, Way Huge Delay, etc...) of these pedals. I do not say one is better or worse, they all have the goods, just different flavours. That said, the only non-Fulltone pedal to make it on my live pedal board is a Way Huge Aqua-Puss Delay. Others come and go but I always run through a Soul Bender-Fulldrive II-SupaTrem-Way Huge Aqua puss right into Vox amps(AC30, AC15). Again, I have seen some complaints about Fulltone Customer Service and found non of the complaints to be true in my experiences. If you want to bull shit call a buddy or family do not bug someone trying to put food on the table.

10, VERY EASY, ALL KNOBS ANS SWITCHES DO WAHT THEY SAY THEY DO. THE MANUAL IS STRAIGHTFORWARD AND EASY TO READ AND USE.

Sound Quality : 10
THE SOUND IS SUPERB--CLEAN, DEEP, SWAMPY WHEN MY AMP IS DARKER AND SHIMMERY WHEN THE AMP IS SET BRIGHTER. I USE IT WITH MY TOP HAT CLUB DELUXE, MATCHLESS TORNADO AND FENDER PRO JR. IT CAN SOUND LIKE DUKE ROBILLARD, SLIM HARPO, JOHN FOGERTY, A LESLIE, JIMMY VAUGHN OR ANY ONE ELSE WITH TONE AND TASTE--IF YOU WANT TO SOUND LIKE OTHER PEOPLE

Reliability : 10
YES. FULLTONE ARE THE BEST, THEY LOOK, FEEL AND ARE SOLID, STRONG EFFECTS. YOU ONLY NEED ONE, UNLIKE THE DIAZ TREMODILLO WHICH I WOULD ONLY USE IF THE SUPA TREM WAS THERE TO BACK IT UP, AS MY TREMODILLO SOUNDS DIFFERENT EVERY TIME I USE IT

Customer Support : 10
VERY VERY HELPFUL. I SENT MR. FULLER ( I NEVER MET HIM, SO TO CALL HIM MIKE, AS IF HE WERE A FRIEND ISN'T RIGHT) AN EMAIL, WITH A QUESTION. HE SENT ME BACK A REPLY 20 MINUTES LATER--EVEN THOUGH HE HAD JUST GOTTEN BACK FROM VACATION AND WAS PROBABLY SWAMPED!! HE WAS CURTEOUS, FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL--UNLIKE CESAR DIAZ WHO WOULD NOT REPAIR MY UNIT AT COST(!!); TOLD ME IT WAS BROKEN AND THEN THAT IT WASN'T; ACCUSED ME OF TRYING TO GET A NEW PEDAL AT NO COST; TOLD ME "UP YOURS"; ACCUSED ME OF BEING CHILDISH; SAID THAT "YOU AND MIKE FULLER CAN SCREW YOURSELVES BLIND..."; HE THREATENED TO "TRACE AND TAKE UP PERSONALLY WITH (ME)..."; TOLD ME THAT THE REASON GUITAR PLAYER SAYS THE DIAZ STUFF IS NOISY IS "BECAUSE THEY SLEEP WITH YOU!"; SAID "MAYBE YOU WILL CATCH A.I.D.S.!"; AND THEN MADE A VEILED THREAT ABOUT SENDING ME A PACKAGE. AFTER I INFORMED HIM HE HAD BROKEN THE LAW HE GAVE A HALF HEARTED APOLOGY CLAIMING HE USES..."STEROIDS WHICH MAKE ME FLY OFF THE SPOOL ONCE IN A WHILE..". WHO NEEDS THAT? MR. FULLER KNOWS HOW TO TREAT A CUSTOMER. PERIOD.

Overall Rating : 10
I PLAY BLUES AND CLASSIC ROCK. THE PEDAL IS PERFECT, LOOKS REAT NEXT TO MY CHORAL FLANGE, FULLDRIVE II AND SOUL BENDER. I HAVE BEEN PLAYING FOR 25 YEARS AND WOULD GET ANOTHER IF LOST OR STOLEN. I HAVE THE VOODOO LAB TREM, PEAVEY VALVEVERB, DIAZ, GUYATONE MINI TREM, BOSS TREM/PAN AND THIS IS THE BEST. THE PEAVEY AND VOODOO LAB SOUND GREAT BUT YOU ONLY GET ONE SOUND. THE DIAZ IS A POOR COUSIN TO THE SUPA TREM IN BOTH SOUND, NOISE, OPTIONS AND RELIABILITY. THE GUYATONE'S VOLUME BOOST IS ANNOYING AND THE BOSS IS GOOD FOR PANNING BETWEEN TWO AMPS.

Excellent sound. Freqencies are fat and rolling.Compresses a little with distortion.I use an ash tele with Bardens and a Bogner Shiva.A cool trick is to turn the mix control ALMOST off and use the pedal as a clean boost. I use this thing all nite.Best trem I ever used.

Very easy to use. The Fast/Slow footswitch with an LED that flashes the speed it's set for. very cool. My only complaint (and it's a big one) would be there's no Hard/Soft LED's so you could see what mode it was in before turning the unit on.

Sound Quality : No Opinion
This is one of the best (if not the best) sounding tremolos available. Even though it's a bit on the pricey side, it's totally worth it. Sounds great with all my guitars and amps, but I especially like it with my Hoffman modded Fender '59 Bassman Reissue or my Prosonic with my Hamer Sunburst Archtop or Artist Studio. Very sweet.

Reliability : 9
Very well built. I don't expect any problems.

Customer Support : 3
Here's where I have a real problem. I had just purchased a Full Drive 2, '69 pedal and a Supa-Trem pedal all at the same time. This was quite an investment on my part and a statement of the appreciation I have for the sound of Fulltone pedals. I was so pleased that I intended to buy a Deja Vibe and a Clyde wah. I sent Mr. Fuller an e-mail complimenting him on his pedals and a request for the dimensions of the Deja Vibe and the Clyde wah as I was putting together a pedal board and I wanted to leave the space open for his pedals. After spending a ton of cash on 3 other pedals, I figured this wasn't too much to ask. After several weeks went by without a reply, I resent the message. It's been 3 months and still no reply. Now I know he can get my e-mails because I ordered some 3dpt switches and a adapter for my '69 pedal from him and I got them right away and an e-mail receipt. I was pretty disappointed, so much so that I decided to buy a Roger Mayer Voodoo Vibe and a RMC3 wah pedal. These items were of similar or better quality than the comparable Fulltone pedals and I found that I was able to get e-mails within a day or two from their manufacturers. I will gladly give my money to whoever makes the best pedals even if the customer service is bad, but when it's a close call on the quality I'll go with the company that gives the best customer service.

Overall Rating : 8
If you use tremolo in your setup and you're looking for a nice warm, bulbous, organic sounding trem, this is your best bet. It doesn't get too much better than this without being built into an amp. The Fast/Slow and Hard/Soft switches are a very cool feature. The price of this unit, the poor customer service and the lack of Hard/Soft indicator LED's keep this from getting a 9.5 to 10. I would definitely buy it again if it were lost ot stolen.

Rate and depth self-explanatory. Has a hard/soft switch which is supposed to allow choice between a more Fender style trem and a more Vox style. Also has a 1/2 time switch. Throw on the dials is very good, but the time switch is not very accurate.

Sound Quality : 9
I own this, a Demeter Tremulator, a Diaz Tremidillo, and a Boss Trem/Pan. I would rate this just under the Demeter. It is not as vibey as the more Fenderish Demeter, though it does have a pronounced Blackface quality. It is dead silent and has true bypass (a real plus in trems, where pulsing is a problem). It is not as psychedelic as the more Brownface Tremedillo, but the Tremidillo has the worse bypass of any of the boxes, so I would rate it higher on that basis. It kills the Boss, which is only worth it for the pan + trem function.

All in all, this is my favorite Fulltone box. It does sound very neutral, as trems go, but is very controllable and quiet. If you want a deep trem (think Ry Cooder in the soundtrack of Southern Comfort), this is not your box. But if your needs are less retro, then it may be.

Reliability : 10
Mine is a very early unit (1996) and I have never had a problem.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Have not had to call, but there is a buzz that this company can be difficult to deal with.

Overall Rating : 9
Overall a very good box that solves the footpedal trem pulsing problem while offering a solid sound. Not as good as the Demeter, to my mind, but a good second choice.

Two knobs: Speed (Controls rate of trem), and Mix (Controls how much of the trem effect you hear). Three switches: Bypass (Turns effect on/off with true bypass), Half (Cuts rate of Tremolo in half with the switch of a foot!!! Don't have to mess with knobs!!) and Hard/Soft (Controls the depth of the trem. It goes from subtle to extreme, again with the switch of a foot. This can be tepered by the mix knob. If the mix is almost off, then the hard switch just makes it so you can hear the trem, If the mix is full on, the signal COMPLETELY Cuts!)

Sound Quality : 10
This Effect sounds Awesome!!! Most pedals I've owned had a sweet spot where if you bump the settings, it doen't sound good. This pedal is one GIANT sweet spot!!! Setup: Custom American Strat (Stacked single in neck pos., Duncan '59 in Bridge pos., Custom neck etc..)--> Vintage Mutron II Phasor (I just rewired it to be True bypass, and also got rid of hum!)--> Fulltone Fulldrive II--> Fulltone Supa-Trem--> Ernie Ball Mono volume--> Boss DD-5 (With Tap Tempo)--> Fender Hot Rod Deluxe 110 ALL TUBE amplifier. I am Getting the best tone of my life, and a major part of it was getting rid of my other Boss pedals and getting Fulltone stuff (BD-2, TR-2). My signal is dead quiet, and for the first time ever, if I turn everything on, I still have AWESOME tone!!!! People, I am a tone junkey!!! I don't buy anything that doesn't make my tone better, and right now, there isn't much that could help more (Except maybe a new Fulltone Fat-Boost, or Clyde Wah =-P). With my current setup, I can get any tone desirable: Blues, Rock, Hard Rock, Funk (minus Wah), ska, R&B, etc.. I have better tone than anybody I've ever heard live (Except Chad {See Below})!

Reliability : 8
Fulltone stuff is hand built, and tough as a tank! I don't even consider using a backup! Reliability is spelled F-U-L-L-T-O-N-E. However, I've only had this effect for three weeks, so I can't give it that good of a rating.

Customer Support : 9
Mike has ALWAYS been friendly to me, and even took my order over the phone because my web browser can't do the whole secure thing.

If this was stolen, ... I'd... well.. I'd hunt down the miserable SOB and rip out his heart and show it to him so he could see how black it is before he dies. But, if I couldn't find him, I would do the same thing I did to get this one, and sell half of all the Guitar equipment that I own to pay for a new one. Coolest, usless effect tone tip: Turn on all of you distortion, Turn the mix, and Speed knobs full clockwise, and hit the Hard/Soft swicth. Palm mute a chord, then fade in with a volume pedal. It sounds like a helocopter is flying overhead!!! Also use whammy bar on guitar to make it sound like it's turning. Usless but cool!!

Amazing sounding Tremlo, I Play a American std. Strat with Lindy Frailins in it,my pedal board is: Budda Bud Wah,TS-808, ChoralFlange,Supa-Trem,Ibanez AD-9,Austone Soul-0-Stomp into a Fender Twin and it kills the built in tremlo on that amp. I love having the speed control on the Supa-trem. Very warm and musical..i got it on a Friday and had a gig Saturday night...i couldn't keep my feet off it...its that killer. It also sounded great with the Chorlflange! I could even get a Leslie type setting out of it..what a pedal...

Extremely easy to use. The manual takes about three minutes to look over and will answer any questions you might have. All knobs do exactly what they say they do. It is impossible to get a bad sound out of it. My only gripe is that the slow/fast switch doesn't always cut the tempo in half but that is o.k. It takes a while to get used to the foor controls but once you do, it is really sweet!

Sound Quality : 10
I play an 84 US Strat through a Fender Deville. The only other pedal I use is a Fulltone Fulldrive2. The pedal is not noisy at all! Plus it is true bypass so your tone isn't colored at all when the you bypass the effect. If you haven't ever played through true bypass pedals I recommend that you do. I had no idea how much my tone was suffering before I got my Fulltone stuff and I couldn't be happier. The sound quality of this pedal is amazing. All other pedals sound like crap compared to this one. There isn't that stupid ticking noise that my Boss tremelo (CRAP!) used to make (that was before my tone awakening). I really enjoy the hard shuttereing trem sounds that I can get. Ever wanted to make your guitar sound like a helicopter or a machine gun? This pedal will do it. When set slower and smoother, the pedal takes on a leslie like feel and can do great things for open chords (who needs a chorus pedal?). Highly recommended! If you are going to try it out make sure that you bring your wallet and if your on a budget, don't try any other Fulltone pedals because you'll end up buying them too! (GUILTY)

Reliability : 10
All fulltone pedals are made extremely well. I would like to have a back up (you can never be to sure) but I can't justify spending the dough.

Customer Support : 10
Mike Fuller is a great guy. He is really good about returning e-mails, and enjoys answering your questions. He is also an incredible guitar player, which explains the sound quality of his pedals (he knows what guitar players want).

Overall Rating : 10
I play many different types of music. I play in a rock band, three different groups at the church I attend and I am also a clarinet major at the university that I attend. I am surrounded by many forms of music. This pedal will serve any trem needs in any situation. It is the best. I would buy another one if it were stolen. I only have one real complaint; I would like it if there were an LED light for the hard/soft switch. I am thinking about having Fulltone modify it for me, but it's not that big of a deal and it definetly won't effect my overall rating.

Easy and straightforward; the half-speed switch makes tempo matching easier, but I think I'd find baked-on index markings around the speed knob helpful.

Sound Quality : 10
Exceptionally smooth and *quiet*; made the Boss trem I tried next to it sound like something from Fisher-Price. The sweetening it gives with the mix all the way down allows me to get a pleasing tone through a Blues Jr. even at ridiculously low (weeknight, apartment) volume; it's even better at higher volumes. I play a Yamaha SA2100 (ES-335 w/coil-splitters on the push button vol), but had an interesting experience this summer with a harp player plugging his green bullet into it; it really thickened his tone and he loved the "hard" setting for sustain-style play.
I've also plugged a send from a Mackie 1202 into the SupraTrem when I used to play acoustic through it; it sounded great, though the "sweetening" trick wasn't as pronounced or as beneficial. I don't use it on the acoustic any more because I got a Pendulem Audio stereo pre- and the S'Trem doesn't do stereo.

Reliability : 10
I've had it a couple of years and haven't had a problem; looks and feels bulletproof. Batteries last a good while if I remember to unplug; the tone quality decreases for maybe an hour as the battery goes; it does not crap out in the middle of a song.

Customer Support : No Opinion
No experience, but I get a good vibe from the hand-numbered boxes that Fulltone products come in.

Overall Rating : 10
My wife (bass) and I are a developing duo act; been playing seriously for four years; gig 4 times a month, most steadily at an art gallery. We adapt lesser-known songs from blues, R&B, soul, and funk. The 'Trem's tone sweetening has become a major characteristic of our sound, and the limited use of the actual tremlo is smooth and powerful. I'd *have* to replace it if I lost it.

Pretty dang easy... every knob does what it says it does. Like with any tremelo effect you have to mess around with the mix or depth control to get it to your taste. I didn't have any problems getting what I wanted out of the pedal.

Sound Quality : 10
The sound is the best. Kudos to Mike Fuller for taking the time and having the ears to get it really right. Tremelo is kind of an afterthough to some people I guess, but I'm kind of a picky nut about it -- my favorite trem sound is the brown-face era Fender Deluxe style tremelo. I tried just about every trem pedal out there, Diaz, Dunlop, Voodoo Labs, Ibanez, Boss, Matchless (terrible!), Demeter, Shcaller, and they all had some drawback, usually the trem wasn't smooth enough, or they didn't have true bypass, they didn't compensate for trem volume loss, or you couldn't tweak it enough, etc. The Fulltone has the best sound, and the controls have the most usuable range of any of the pedals. Also their is an internal trimpot that lets you tweak it a bit more. (I preffered to back this off a bit from the factory setting to get a bit more smoothness.) The only thing keeping teh Sup-Trem from being the absolute king of trem pedals is that is doesn't have a stereo feature, which was one thing I liked about the Dunlop, but that's a very minor point as I don't often run in stereo. However, hard tremelo in stereo is a *very* cool sound. But I'm sure that adding this feature would probably make an already expensive pedal astronomical in cost. I use the pedal with a variety of amps and guitars, an 1960 tweed Bassman, '55 tweed Super, and a VHT Pitbull .45, usually with a Les Paul, Tele or Strat.

Reliability : 10
As with all of Mike's stuff, you could drop it off the Empire state building and it would probably still work fine -- very rugged, and I anticipate no problems whatsoever.

Customer Support : 10
Mike's reputation for high-quality products, excellent customer service and general availability to answer questions, etc is well known. Every time I have dealt with him the support has been the best. I wish everyone ran their business like Mike.

Overall Rating : 9
I play rock & roll, blues, funk, and R & B, "roots" type of music -- this pedal works perfectly, as none of my gigging amps have tremelo built in and I really depend on a good tremelo sound for certain tunes. The only reason I give this pedal a "9" rather than a "10" is it's so expensive, however I can't complain as I bought it used.

See other reviews for descriptions of controls.
Ease of use... You're kidding, right? As easy as falling off a log. All the controls say what they do and do what they say. If you're dense enough to need the manual you probably won't be able to read it.
One minor demerit: The Hard/Soft switch could really use a status LED. Otherwise you don't know which mode it will be in when you switch it on. Mike Fuller will retrofit one for $20. He mentioned it would affect battery life (presumably why he doesn't add it in the first place). I'd like to see him add the status LED to the stock configuration.

Sound Quality : 10
The manual suggest a tone tip: leave the unit on all the time, adjust the mix control so that the soft setting does not modulate the signal then switch between the hard (trem) and soft (non-trem) settings. When set this way the unit does indeed fluff out the lower mids in very musical manner. However, I ended up just using it in the normal manner at a gig primarily because I couldn't dial the hard setting in to my liking.
I'm no longer buying vintage amps. I own a Top Hat Club Royale and will soon own a Clark Beaufort. Guitars are PRS Standard 22 with Dragon PUs, Fender '57 Vintage RI strat with Duncan Antiquity II PUs and G&L ASAT-3 with Duncan Vintage Staggered strat PUs.
In soft mode this pedal perfectly captures the hang of trem circuits in vintage amps (I've owned Fenders and Supros mainly). The Speed control is terrific. That makes this pedal much more versatile than the trem circuits in amps and much quieter (as in whisper quiet).
A brilliant piece of engineering.

Reliability : 10
I don't bring backup pedals. If they go out, I do without them for the gig. BTW, I've only had one pedal give out on me in 32 years of playing. Full Tone pedals are built like tanks.
BTW, I don't understand folks who dog Mike about the footswitch quality - what are these guys doing with these pedals?

Customer Support : 10
Personally, I've had great support from Mike.
Note: Mike is one of those folks who doesn't suffer fools terribly well (I'm another). He can be gruff at times even surly but when it comes right down to it you get what you need from this guy. He truly cares about how well his stuff is working in your rig. I'll take that any day over someone who's courteous but clueless.
I'd also like to mention Rock City Music in Spokane Washington (509) 327-2990. These guys had a killer price on a unit in stock and totally delivered. If you're ever in a postion to mail order a Full Tone product, by all means give these guys a try! Total 10 in every respect.

Overall Rating : 9
I was looking to cop that vintage trem hang and this pedal totally delivered. Except for the lack of a Hard/Soft status LED, it does everthing I ask of it.
Value... I am an unabashed fan of Mr. Fuller's work. I'm completely spoiled by my Full Drive 2 and Supa-Trem. Except for my original TS-808 and Boss DM-2 analog delays (Full Tone doesn't make analog delays) I cannot consider owning anything less than Full Tone quality. I just can't justify NOT spending the extra $$$ for Full Tone quality and sound. I think they are head and shoulders above most other pedal manufacturers (certainly the Boss, Ibanez and DOD stuff). Full Tone is in a completely different league.
This is the one you want!

Has more features than most trems. Footswitch for half speed/full speed (stays in tempo), led shows speed of trem (even when effect is not switched on), and hard/soft footswitch (machine gun stutter to vintage trem sound). Knobs for rate and mix. True bypass.

Sound Quality : 10
This is the best sounding trem going. I tried the Dunlop, Boss, VooDoo Labs (close second -- less features), Demeter and Diaz pedals. As far as quality of trem, it is smooth and warm or can stutter like a demon -- depends on what you want. It has it! Nice feature is that if you put mix on lowest setting, and use it in "soft mode" you have a boost pedal -- hit it and you get a nice boost in level.

Reliability : 10
Fulltone builds quality stuff. Switches are heavy duty, housing is solid. I have been all over this thing with my boots on, it hasn't even flinched. Have had it on the floor for a while now, have ordered a pedal board and roadcase -- it should last a long time.

Customer Support : 10
Again, Fulltone is Michael Fuller. He answers phones and email and will take the time needed to answer any questions. He believes in what he builds and stands behind his products.

Overall Rating : 10
I use trem as a main effect on a few tunes -- it nails that. I use it mixed real low with the dry signal to just add a touch of effect -- it nails that. The little boost thing with the mix way down is what sold the pedal to me over the Voodoo Labs pedal. Fuller got it right on this pedal.

Within 30 seconds I was finding tremolo sounds I had always searched for with this pedal. It does a realistic Fender-style trem as well a "slice and dice" exagerated helicopter tremolo as well. It is slower than any internal fender amp trem and gets very fast, but never blends itself into a blur-this pedal has USABLE range!

Sound Quality : 10
The SupaTrem replaced a Diaz Tremodillo that I had been using and was just too noisy in bypass mode. Also has a killer hidden feature: set to "soft" mode, turn mix control to 0, and you get a great "boost" from this pedal! Then, simply hit the Hard/soft switch to activate tremolo! You can leave it on like this all gig!

Reliability : 10
Built to last. Rugged construction.

Customer Support : 10
After 2 weeks with this pedal I called Mike to mod my pedal, adding a on/off led and moving the rate/speed led toward the rate knob. I thought that this mod would make the pedal more functional, because you could visually see the speed preset BEFORE clicking the effect on. Mike agreed it was a good idea, and said that he would eventually make it a standard feature on all SupaTrems. He turned the mod around fast, and was very receptive to input regarding his product.

Overall Rating : 10
If you want THE trem pedal, cut to the chase and get a SupaTrem. Quieter than a Diaz, gets more exagerated than a THROB, yet very easy to use. Within 10 seconds you will be smiling with this pedal!

As pedals go, the Supa-Trem is large and boxy -- and that's good! The footswitches (full/half speed, bypass, hard/soft) are spaced far enough apart for my size 12 Doc Martens to stomp on without interference. In comparison, I tried a Diaz Tremodillo pedal and it was NOT foot-friendly.
The knobs (speed and mix) have a wide range. There is an LED that blinks at the current speed setting whenever the effect is engaged. The LED is dark when the effect is bypassed. The combination of controls makes it easy to repeatedly dial in the right sound -- although I have two small strips of electrical tape on my Supa-Trem to mark my favorite speed and mix setting.
My only complaint is with the 4 screws that must be removed from the bottom plate to get at the battery. The screws on my pedal don't have a good alignment with the holes. I'm concerned that I might end up stripping the holes after opening up the unit a few times (remember, Fulltone recommends using carbon batteries).

Sound Quality : 10
KILLER TONE at last! I'm using the Supa-Trem with a Telecaster and an old lap steel, going into a Fender Blues DeVille 4x10 tube combo amp. This is the best setup I've had in 20 years of playing.
The Supa-Trem provides a mild gain boost and extra highs when you kick it in. This lets you use a hard, warbling tremelo without disappearing from your band's live mix. My favorite setting is to use the "soft" switch with the mix knob set low. This provides just the right amount of extra gain and subtle tremelo to drive my tube amp into blues-tone heaven. Set the mix knob higher and you'll be shaking like a spy movie soundtrack.
I had the chance to A/B compare the Fulltone Supa-Trem with a Diaz Tremodillo and the Dunlop Tremolo box. The Fulltone sounded cleaner and more "authentic" than either pedal. My second choice was the Dunlop with its funky variable waveform switch and stereo outputs.

Reliability : 9
PRO: Lifetime warranty, and the box is built like a tank.
CON: The screw hole alignment on the bottom plate is not quite right. Also, the knob and footswitch labels are decals and look like they'll probably wear off someday.

Overall Rating : 10
I'll never sell this pedal. It's a classic.

Extremely Quite!! This sounds BETTER than any tremolo from any amp!I know that's a strong statement but it's true.Has a true half speed switch, true bypass & hard/soft switch; rate & speed knobs. You can NOT get a bad sound out of this. Goes from very subtle to intense(and anywhere in between.

Sound Quality : 10
So quite that you don't even know it's on.I had a Diaz Tremodillo that was so noisy that they sent me another and I sold it as soon as I heard this one.The tone is fat and transparent.I did a session two days after I bought it and everyone loved it(especially the engineer!)

I'd bet my life on this!Anything that Mike Fuller makes you could never have to worry about. Besides it has a lifetime warranty.

I've talked to Mike Fuller alot.Very informative and helpful and a real supportive guy. He's like the rest of us;on the search for TONE. (He's also a GREAT guitar player!!)Everytime I've talked to him I've learned something new about equipment(and I've been playing for thirty years!)Use CARBON BATTRIES for BETTER TONE!! besides they only cost about 70 cents and last almost as long.

Overall Rating : 10
I would get another one in a second. It's very musicial. I've tried all the other ones and NOTHING comes close!!! Very Quite and has TRUE bypass & True half speed. It doesn't alter your true guitar tone or sound. Records exceptionally well.
