It's about as simple as it gets, you just plug it in and plug your stuff into it and turn the switch on. No rocket science involved at all.

well like the previous review said it's not an effect but it does definitely affect your tone as well as protect your equipment. The nice thing with these is that it takes away any electrical noise and makes your rig sound the same all the time. I really can't believe I waited this long to get one, the difference is amazing. I will really appreciate this thing the more I get to gig with it since a lot of clubs have questionable power.

Like I said this thing is great and I should have bought one a long time ago. With the amount of money I have invested in my amp and effects I should have bought one a long time ago. Everything in my rig is quieter now and I am getting no extra noise. Highly recommended for anyone.

What can I say, you plug it in, plug in your rack units or effects adapters and turn it on. Not hard at all.

Even though this is not an effect, I definitely affected the sound of my rig. I needed something to filter the power to my effects board and reduce the noise. Well...I plugged her in, plugged in my pedal adapters, and the noise was gone! No hum, static, scratching, screeching noise! I have the dynamics and sensitivity back to my playing that the garbage before would not allow. It is now a permanent addition to my rig!

I play all types of music, but primarily hard rock. This is a brilliant match to what I do. I don't like a lot of effects processors, I prefer the real deal, so a ton of extra noise got in. After the RP-8 the noise is gone, and the dimension and clarity it allows my gear to produce is astounding!
I've been playing nearly 10 years now. I use a PRS Custom 24 with mods through Ernie Ball Volume, Boss TU-2 Tuner(outside the chain), Vox Wah, Digitech Whammy, Vintage Boss CE-2 Chorus, Guyatone Vibrato(w/tube pre stage, sounds awesome!), Vintage N.Y.C. Small Stone Phaser; into Hughes and Kettner Triamp with Effects loop: Boss EQ, Danelectro DanEcho, Boss RV-2 Digital Reverb, Fulltone Fat Boost.
I would easily replace this if lost or stolen! It's big for the board, but I rigged it to support pedals right on top the unit so it really double functions as a riser for pedals in the back of the board. Bonus I guess. I bought is for being so damn cheap.
