No noise - in fact improved noise issues over the power strip I was using before.

The light modules are extremely flimsy and would no doubt break if the rack were to fall over while they were extended. Other than that, I don't see how this unit could possibly break.

I use this in my home studio. It powers a lot of different units, and has performed flawlessly. The lights are dim, but adequate. It gets the job done. Unless you need the features of more expensive units, you should buy this one. Having a power conditioner to clean up power cables is extremely important, IMO.

It's a power supply. On and off. My 2 year old knows how to work it.

I've had one for many many years and just bought a second one. They are reliable. One time a light tube came loose from the internal mounting- I was easily able to pull the top off and fix it.

Yes- this is my preferred power supply. The new one is better than the old one because it has an extra switch (for the lights). The old one has the off/on/brightess knob. The new one has a brightness knob and a separate on/off switch for the lights.
