Very easy to get a good sound out of this thing. The sweepable mid controls allow you to tailor the body of the verb; the treble control lets you determine how bright it is. Wish it had some sort of rt60 control. You can sort of control the rvb time by just varying the input level. Works good enough.

This unit is a little noisy when you crank it, however you can get all the verb you will probably ever need before you hear this thing humming at an annoying level. The reverb itself is stunning, especially when you run it stereo. By just EQing each channel a little differently you can create a huge space. This is the beauty of the rv-2, it is basically like having 2 rv-1's in a two rack space chassis. Double the fun.

When I got it all the pots were dirty and I had to sweat a couple of solders, but once I did it has performed perfectly for 2 years withou a single hiccup. Seems to be built like a tank.

I previously have tried to use digital reverbs on my guitar and had no luck getting a sound I liked. I plugged in the rv-2 and instantly had the sound I was looking for. Might be able to live without it but wouldn't want to, this thing is fantastic for guitar. Never tried it on anything else, but would probably perform just as remarkably. Highly recommended piece of equipment.
