Genz Benz Diablo 60 Head

Its pretty easy to use. I just glanced at the manual and went for it. Now, the EQ section is interactive and this is very sensitive. It did require some tweaking and I am still doing that.. Lots of tones you can get out of this amp.

OK. This is a pretty versitile amp.

Clean - Has the Fender vibe and with the EQ you can really get to wherever you want. Its voiced very uniquely, hard to describe, but the Clean tones are very pleasing - this channel is also very pedal friendly. I use a Barber Small Fry, and it works very well. Again, I am still tweaking.. I really like the Shiva clean tone, and I am getting there... Fender from black face to whatever - its in there. just have to EQ it in.

OD - This amp has a lot of features on this channel. I haven't really delve into too much, but with the factory recommended settings, the tones are pretty convincing. You can get a really good Boogie or Marshall sound out of it, but with its own voicing of course. I have a JCM 800, and it pretty much comes close to that. Additionally, I had a Boogie in the past, and it comes close to it as well. The amp has boost, built in compression and a global attack feature that brings the amp up front. Lot's of sonic possibilities. The thing is you really need to work on it to find that tone. But thats part of the fun, I guess.

Can take both EL34s and 6L6's haven't tried them with the 6's but I expect good things.

60 watts - has Pentode/Triode - can go down to 30 watts. Can't really tell much of a difference, but this is a loud MoFo. You will be heard.

I am using this with a THD 2x12 cab.

Built like a tank. Good construction and parts, very clean as well. I don't expect any problems. Bias point conviniently located.

Very versitile. I'll be experimenting for a while. But I am comfortable going head to head with Bootik amps with her.
