Not the easiest pedal to figure out. The manual is very helpful though as it explains all the functions of all the switches on the inside. Having them explained to you is only half the battle though. With a 9 octave range, low and mid, adjusts, resonance control, and volume, not mention a fine tune (audible diffences only heard with the trained ear), it can literally take hours of time to examine the endless combinations that are possible with this pedal. That's why it does not get a 10 because a lot of time must be taken to get the full potential out of this pedal.

Best wah I've heard. I liked the sound right out of the box. When I was trying out the pedal for the first time my friend, who is an accomplished bassist, thought I was running it through distortion but I was running the pedal from my guitar straight to the amp. The sound was just that thick. It is too much with the Q-Tron though. That is too be expected. I use them seperately for different applications. But it sounds great with my Tubescreamer. A really nice cutting, slightly dirty wah sound comes out with just little distortion. Since it can model other pedals it is the last wah I'll need. All the sounds I've tryed sound good. Not all of them usable by me but sure they would work for others. It just shows how much this pedal is capable of.

I've had this pedal for a while. No problems yet. Though I don't regularly gig, I think with proper care there would be no need for a backup. Solid contruction and fine craftsmenship. That's why this pedal wasn't cheap.

I haven't had to use customer support which is a good thing. Quality product. I plan to get a mod for it so I can use it with fuzz one day. I'll let you know then about the support.

Right now I'm just a guitar enthusiast. I play Phish, Dead, Pink Floyd, Hendrix, etc., you know mostly progressive rock. I've been playing for six years. I use an American Standard Fender Strat through my newly acquired Fender Deluxe Reverb '65 Reissue. I run my guitar through a Q-Tron -> TMC3LE -> Tubescreamer -> Amp. If I lost this pedal I would be unreconcilable for a least week before I'd realize I had to keep going on with life. Yes I would buy it again if it was lost/stolen (heaven forbid) on the slight chance that one of the other 299 owners had a momentary fit of insanity and actually sold it to me. I love that it can model any wah pedal making it the last wah I'll need. My only criticism is that I would have liked more resistance on the action of the pedal but since that can be adjusted it is negligilbe. I picked this pedal because it is the same pedal Trey Anastasio uses but better. The pedal sounds awesome. It makes the player sound better than they actually are. When buying this pedal the buyer gets one of the best wah pedals out there. This fills my needs or anyone elses needs for wah in my opinion. By the way I have #236.

Thi sis NOT an easy pedal to figure out. Of course it works like a wah, no degree in rocket science required once it's set up, but to learn what the pots and switches do inside is another story. I still haven't figured it out entirely.

Well I know there isn't a better wah anywhere and the sounds the LE is capabe of a re just beautiful! Since yuo control the sweep and voice, you can get it just how you like. I tend to stick near the "Smooth & Sweet" setting from the instructions, with a little more in the top. I shielded the inductor with Mumetal and that helped with noise (but it wasn't that bad to begin with). I feel privileged to own one of these -only 300 made. I also had the first version of the RMC-3 which is cased in a hand-cast aluminum enclosure. It was light and felt kinda rickety, so I sold it and grabbed this one used. It's ever so musical!

I'd rely on it, especially because I know Geoffrey's service is bar-none. However, if it was lost or stolen, that would stink because there's not too many to be had, and I don't know if I'll ever be able to afford another one (the prices will not be dropping for sure).

Haven't need help on this wah, but Geoffrey was awesome when I had issues with my RMC-1. He sent me a new pot and a new switch on seperate occasions -at no charge! He helped me fix a volume problem too, sending pics by email on how to solder a resistor onto the circuit board. He's the best. Is there a more knowledgeable wah expert in the world? Probably not.

Sickly good wah. Couldn't imagine more features than to be able to tweak every parameter of your wah. Doesn't get better than this, and all the 2005 Tesse wahs have the shielded inductor from the factory (Mumetal). I play almost anything, leaning toward the blues. I'm not an expert in wahs, but the RMC-1 (my first wah) impressed me enough to go for this puppy when I started to wonder what the RMC-3 was like. And that's a chunk of change for any pedal! I am totally convinced that it's worth it. Too bad it's not a regular production model -everyone should have one.

This isn't the easiest wah to figure out, and the manual is, well rather limited yet it does give suggestions that will take you in some very good directions. Take some time with it and keep the tweaker that comes with it handy, and you'll be making this wah sound fantastic.

First of all, I have to be honest and tell you that when I recieved this wah from Analogman.com it was almost totally useless. The noise inductance was so bad that I simply had to stay with my vintage Vox wah. I could tweak the pots and switches and somewhat hear the great tone wanting to get out, but it was so noisy my band told me not to use it again or they would vote me off the island. Point taken, I did every technical thing outside of the pedal possible to isolate the problem, which concluded that the wah was the source of the noise.
Here is where the stock goes up for this gentleman's work. Mr. Teese pleasantly corresponded with me and I finally shipped the pedal back to him. Though he said he couldn't hear any problem, he shielded the inductor and shipped it back to me. Well, this was the solution to the noise problem and now I can honestly say I'm happy with the purchase. I use different guitars through this pedal and they all sound excellent through this wah now that it is noiseless. The guitars used in my set up are the Fender Robben Ford, Zion Custom with Anderson pups, Peavey Wolfgang, Epiphone 7 string Les Paul with a Dimarzio pup in the bridge, Peavey Predator with Gilmore EMG pickup arrangement, Fender 69 Tele Thinline with EMG pups, and there are more but I'm getting tired of typing. I fiddled with the 9 dip switches located in the pedal, and left the pots where Geoffrey set them and found the wah sound I was hoping for. There are so many different excellent settings that you better have a good idea what you want from your wah wah, otherwise you might go nuts figuring out which setting you should stick with. I use several pedals in this amp chain (1972 Fender Quad with THD Yellow Jackets to tame the volume) and it simply sounds fantastic. It compliments my George Blekas (Pedalworx) modded TS-9's and sounds great with my A.M. Comprosser on or off. I have a A.M. DS-1 following the Pedalworx TS-9's, a Danecho, then a vintage Ibanez CS-9 Chorus, a Ibanez GE-10 and the Hughes and Kettner Rotosphere feeding the amp. The sweep is audible regardless of whatever pedals I have turned on, and it is good. I forgot to mention that a Dave Fox (FoxRox) built fuzz is in the chain to, and it hits the mark of a few FuzzFace/Wah kind of guys that have made history. You know who they are.
Should be a 9 1/2 score here, after the fix, but it would have scored a 1 prior to Geoffrey working on it to resolve the noise problem. 7 is a happy measure overall.

I believe in Geoffrey Teese and I don't think I'll need a back up. If it fails I know he will stand behind his work because he has already proven this to me. I will always have back up pedals for every effect I use, but I really think I can leave the wahs at home.

Excellent. Geoffrey Teese really cares about his work (just look at his workmanship inside the box and you'll never doubt this) and the satisfaction of his customers. He actually called me to talk about the problem, which is incredibly impressive to me. He is an all around blessing/asset to those of us who are addicted to this beautiful realm of the electric guitar.

I play for Christ now, and he likes my flavors. I have a strong bend towards hard/metal rock tones, yet I jazz, get the blues, and remember my youth in the country, and this wah has been impeccable. Simply the best I have used.
I paid a lot of money for a single effect here and I expect excellence. If I wanted mediocrity then I would save my money buy a fast production pedal and use the savings toward the purchase a Harley. But when I play, I play in the service of God Almighty, and he deserves nothing but the best. Thankyou Geoffrey, you have supplied me with the best.

The instructions for the dip switches are horribly explained (please don't chalk it up to me being stupid - common sense wise (I build computers and take apart amps) or book smarts (1500 SATs). Sticking to the suggested settings given, it's easy of course!

Excellent, better than every current wah, though I like the picture wah better for it's strong vocal/midrange/throaty/magical vibe. I could not get the same sound out of the RMC3LE after copying the settings on the website (or even tweaking awhile myself)

The RMC3 is the world's most versatile wah wah pedal. With LOW, MID, Q, VOL, 9 DIP switches and a couple fine tuners, the complexity of controls can be a bit overwhelming at first. The manual explains EVERYTHING! And Mr. Teese is but an email away. There are NO bad sounds inside, yet EVERY conceivable wah sound ever made can be brought out of this box!
A rating of "8" ONLY because its not your run of the mill, plug in and play, this is all you get wah wah pedals. (Though Teese makes the best of those as well!)

Amazing, amazing, amazing! ANY wah sound can be replicated here! Or make up your OWN sweep and vocalness! True bypass, so no tone loss. I use humbucking guitars with all true bypass effects, into a Bogner Shiva 6L6 combo. Got the FoxRox Mod to keep maximum range with my Frantone Cream Puff (a diamond in the rough!).This baby sounds SO good, it makes me wanna play like Kirk Hammett!

There was no way I was ever going to sell my beloved Teese RMC3. UNTIL I find one of the limited edition anniversary versions for sale! My original RMC3 had the original circuitboard and no 9V adapter. (It was a '97 version.) With the updated circuitboard, the adapter and the FoxRox Mod (only needed for those who use fuzz pedals with their wahs) this is the ULTIMATE wah wah pedal that I can squeeze ANY sound I want out of it.
I hope this review gets printed, because as far as wah wah pedals go: the RMC3LE IS PERFECT!

The RMC3LE has no external knobs or switches, but open it up and you have a tone tweakers delight. The manual is pretty good, and there's more info available on the web (try Analogman). Dialling in your sound takes time, and if you're using a good valve amp, I suggest tuning the wah at close to gig volume.
With Geoffrey Teese's guide I found it very easy to get a good sound, but I have to admit that the huge flexibility in available sounds makes it a more difficult pedal to use than, say a crybaby.
The 9v adaptor socket is located on the INPUT jack side (right). Given that most players I know have their wah pedal first in the signal chain (which usually means the right side of the pedal board), the AMP side might have been a better choice. Still it wouldn't be fair to take points off for this, because it may suit some players.
Like all wah pedals, it comes with 4 screwed in rubber feet making it difficult to mount on a pedal board. I've got around this by replacing these with washers and reversing the baseplate (to prevent damage from sticky velcro). Perhaps Teese could include these as an option or accessory?

My usual setup is PRS Custom 22 >RMC3 >Ulbrick 12axe or G2D Custom OD >Black Cat 30 >DI box out to delays, chorus into a second amp.
The RMC3LE sounded great right out of the box. Not at all harsh like some positions on the Dunlop Crybaby 95Q can be. I've now gigged with a few different settings, and settled on the suggested SRV setting with the Q control at min. This setting works really well with my blues sound (somewhere between clean and crunch), and santana type lead sounds.
I've been through several wah pedals, Crybaby and Crybaby 95Q, Morley Bad Horsey, and an old 70's schaller. The RMC3 is way better. It is also true bypass, so now my entire pedalboard has true bypass. There is a noticeable improvement in my unaffected tone just from taking the crybaby off the board.
The "tuneability" of this wah will make it a great tool in the studio also.

I play in two bands - mostly classic rock/ classic hits format. This pedal, just on the SRV setting alone, meets my needs. The other players in the band have noticed the improvement in tone over the crybaby. I'd say well worth the money, and if it's ever lost or stolen I would buy another one (or an RMC3).
Initially I chose the RMC3, but the Australian importer (retrosound.com.au) only had an LE in stock and kindly sold me one at the RMC3 price. Lucky me.

it takes a little time to definite your sound, as you can completely custom it using the various switch. all the buttons are inside the pedal so you'll have to open it if you want modify your parameters, which may not be easy onstage. but the various switchs are easy to use, a screw is given, all is well explain on the manual and on the official website, and once you've got your sound, it's just plug and play. So I only a 8 as I often modify my sound and as the switchs are inside. (even if the pedal is more beautiful like this!)

I mainly use an Esp Horizon Custom with emg 81 pickups and an Epiphone Les Paul with Gibson pickups on a Marshall avt50. For the moment I only used some settings indicated on the manual. This thing is just...amazing! it simply does all the wahs I've tried before, and does it better than these wahs. the sound is perfect whatever you play on clean or overdrive channel, and the footswitch is very agreable and progressive (but I repeat you can custom all the pedal!). this pedal is no noisy at all, and the switch silencer.

I play all style, from classical to death metal, and this pedal just suits perfect all the time. When you plug it the first time, you wonder how you did to play without it before, and wants to put everywhere, as you can change the parameters to make it suit perfectly to every "mood". ok this pedal is really expensive, ok there is no bag given with it, but the pedal is just awesome. It has this smell of vintage, of hand made, which is very agreable. it's like Geoffrey Teese had put a part of him in it, and you can feel it. This is my first wah pedal, I received it 2 days ago from the USA, as this pedal is not available in my country (I live in Paris, France). I had tested the most known wahs, vox, crybaby, bad horsie, buddha wah, etc... I and finally tested the RMC3 which I didn't know. I was really impressed and found on internet that there was a limited edition so I ordered it and have no regrets at all, as it's just the best wah I've heard. Mine is #128 (only 300 RMC3LE pedals were made) and I would definitely try to buy a new one if mine was stolen and if I found one of the other 299 owners who would agree to sell it..!
