Aside from the actual pedal/guitar interaction (which can take all your life to get right), the controls are very simple. Volume, Q and Low End Emphasis. Just enough to tailor your own sound, not so much as to be difficult.

Sound Quality : 10
I'm using this with a Fender Deluxe Reissue and various guitars, A Tele, a SSH Strat, LP, and others. My pedalboard is running like this: WOF, MXR Supercomp, Fulldrive 2, Marshall Vibratrem, MXR Phase 90, Boss DD-20, Boss TU-2. For me the WOF works much better before the OD! I think this pedal has more character than any Wah I've used to date (and I've been through many). The tone colors are beautiful all the way across the sweep spectrum, the bass is very articulate and likable, and the treble end is sweet, musical and without the unfortunate "icepick to the ear" effect I've experienced with some other Wahs. The Q control makes it pretty easy to tailor the pedals sweep, and the Volume seems very clean. I especially like the Low End Emphasis, which really gives a great and unique low end to this pedal I've never heard in a Wah before...and I'd been looking...

Reliability : 10
It seems VERY solid. The interior build looks superb. I'd gig without a backup, and do.

Customer Support : 10
When I first got this Wah (used), it had lost its bottom plate and was picking up a lot of RF interference. I wrote to Geoffrey Teese and got an instant and very helpful reply. After a few emails detailing the problem, Geoffrey invited me to send the pedal back to him for a complete revamping to his current specs! I did, and in a very short time I got it back and it was perfect, plus that irritating country radio station that was playing out of my amp is gone for good! Mr. Teese is a really good guy, and has helped me out a great deal. I'd give an 11 if I could.

Overall Rating : 10
Really, for me this is the best Wah I've ever played. Everyones ears are different on things like this, but that's how I feel. I've been playing for 40 years, professionaly for the majority of those. I've been lucky enough to tour the U.S., Canada and Europe for years playing guitar and bass and I've gone through a LOT of equipment. I've gone back and forth on working with Wahs, but this one has really rocked my paradigm...it's just so much more musical. Geoffrey Teese and his Wahs really deserve all the acclaim they've had and more!

Simplest wha in history. Plug in, turn it on, and GO. This is the earlier model, with the vertical stripes on the treadle, and an on/off switch and a "Q" setting on the right hand side, as well as the power input on the right hand side. Previously I reviewed the RMC3, which is incredibly versatile but the tonal options and flexibility might be too much for some "plug and play" type people. If you're short on patience and want a fat, sweet wha sound, this is the bomb. This setting is available in the RMC3, so this is a "one trick pony" but it's one heck of a horse race!

Sound Quality : 10
Fantasic sound quality, and this is compared to both vintage whas as well as more recent issues like the standard Dunlop, the Vox reissue, etc. In terms of sound quality, it's a one trick pony, so if you're not looking for a late '60s wha aound, this may not fit the bill for you. If you are ... look no further.

Reliability : 10
One of the first built, no problems so far.

Customer Support : 10
I've always had good response from Mr. Teese. Actually bought this pedal before it was even listed on his website, from the first review of it here on H/C. I have an RMC3 that is wonderful but had the typical problem interfacing with a vintage style fuzz (Captain Coconut 2, aka "Hendrix/SRV in a box"). A buffer board can be added to the RMC3 but I picked up this pedal after the glowing review here, and after discussing it with Mr. Teese, as this pedal has the buffer built in.

Overall Rating : 9
It's a great pedal, and fits perfectly on my "short board" setup: WoF Wha > Captain Coconut 2 > Sparkle Drive > BK Butler Tube Driver > Marshall. It's not the most versatile pedal in the world, for that you need the RMC3, but if you're looking for the best 60s type "plug and play" sound, this is the one. I can honestly say that after using this and the RMC3, I have lost all interest in even considering other wha pedals - let's call that category "done". Also very nice to have an on/off switch on the outside of the case, for those of us who habitually forget to unplug the input!

It is a wah. You need some basic coordination to use it, but the sounds are easy to get. It does have three knobs to control the bass, volume and Q. I leave the volume and Q maxed out and the bass around 1 o'clockish.

Sound Quality : 10
Stratocaster >RMC6> AM sunface > AM beano boost> Mojo vibe > OCD v.4> tc nova delay> Victoria 20112 w/celestion blue.

This is the wah sound I have been looking for since 1980! LOVE IT! Fat juicy wah sound that you can taylor with the bass knob. I have had a Picture wah for 4 years and it is a great wah, but this is so much better I cant believe it. I do wish the volume knob was unity gain at noon so you had a bit more ability to add gain or not.

Mine also has the fuzz friendly buffer which is so nice as all my boosters have a germanium chip that messes with most wahs. I just got one for my old Picture Wah too.

Reliability : 10
Well made, and my picture wah looks almost new 4 years later and the pot isnt scratchy yet.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I will find out soon as I need to find out if the fuzz buffer will make the volume knob more sensitive.

Overall Rating : 10
I play classic rock and blues with some jam band and surf. Works perfect for me and the fat juicy sound blends well with all music styles.

I highly recommend this pedal, the picture wah is great, but this WOF makes it just another wah to me. It isnt really very Hendrixy or anyone I can think of, but it works for me.

My only suggestion is to make the volume knob be unity at noon.

Ease of Use : 9
Good. The review on youtube gave a review on how the outsides controls work. Volume, Bass and Q. No instructions, bought used. Once set the wah works like a wah.

Sound Quality : 10
Tried it through a Guild Starfire w/humbuckers and a Custom Shop 1954 Fender Stratocaster->skreddy screwdriver->devi ever hyperion fuzz-> a bad cat mini and/Or electar 10. I purposely played through my smaller amps since they are don't sound great with wahs..boomy or shrilly. The WOF sounds great! The internal FOXROX circuitry works well. Compared it to a 847 VOX without the Foxrox buff...thin no range, the WOF kept its range with the fuzz on. Growl in the Bass nice and throaty and nice singing high...no ice pick.

Reliability : 9
Got it used, had issues, a rubber foot had a Broken screw. Previous owner used same screws to use velcro on same plate...a no no. Have a cousin with cool tools and all better. Internal set up nice. With the external knobs I will not have this floating around on a pedal board. With the low current draw will use on gigs with a battery. Seems reliable..and the adjustments will be great for open mike nites when i need to travel light.

Customer Support : 10
Geoffrey Teese is why I have 2 and now 3 of his wahs. Switch issues, fixing a squeeky tension, size of a stripped screw. He handled all through quick and responsive emails. Mr. Teese stay healthy and remain groovy.

Overall Rating : 10
Hendrix, Sabbath, Beatles, Los Lobos, Santana, SRV, Trower P-Funk. Radiohead, The Muse... Grooves and Tones. I play in 3 player bands so I need to make good noise. throbbing full sounds. This wah has a great range. Honeymoon..yes but it has the sound I was looking for a long time.

This is one cool wah.

Versatile as all crap... amazing tone.. great sound goin for a solo and steppin on it...

RMC6 RMC 6 RMC-6 whatever you want to call it..

has a volume control.. q control and bass control...
and an internal volume trim pot (can't overlook it..)

play around for a few days and get a good sound..
wind back the bass for funk... i said funk people!!

Sound Quality : 9
The sound quality is amazing..

Check the service section for my review of the sound. There was an issue, Teese resolved it... and then I fell in love with this wah all over again...

Reliability : 9
built tough.

this will last longer than I will....

Customer Support : 10
So I had an issue with the pedal picking up radio frequencies and being scratchy with the toe down...
I thought I would have to suffer or sell up... then I shot an email to Mr Teese just to check...

Turns out some older wahs were prone to these problems and the fix was quite simple (if you can work a soldering iron). So with excellent instructions, I resolved the issue and never looked back.. this wah rocks
and the only thing that rocks more is the fantastic service!!

In fact I was so happy with the service and the improvement in the sound that I was motivated to write this review in the first place..

Overall Rating : 10
I've been playing for 3 days..
Tried out all the Dunlop range (anything post 1990 is absolute crap)..
Dunlops now use cheap unsealed pots, cheap PCB, cheap parts. etc etc...

Had a VOX reissue... good wah... nowhere near this one.. but rate it higher than the new Dunlop gear..

This wah has board mounted jacks and pots. Some companies... (see above) do this on the cheap.. Teese do it well and maintain high quality.

I would buy it again... now that its getting its second go around!

waht a pedal. wah insanity. the controls work great. this wah really adds to waht i was looking for. this is a plug in & play once you set the Q setting. love it. 3 controls--one for bottom, the volume, & the Q.

Sound Quality : 10
i use tube 100 waht amps--fuchs ods & boogie lonestar--mostly with les pauls. no noise--just beautiful wah. this wah is tonefully powerful. i like the subtle setting with the Q control. i like the wah to come in sweet--not too quick. i get my flavor of tone--but for studio i can adjust it to wahtever is needed. you will get one ******* sweet pedal with any of his models--find the one that suits your style & tone.

Reliability : 10
no worries about this. if it would go, i'd just use my vibe with a touch of trem, then get things fixed. all i hear is how good he builds his wahs. i'll chance that it can hold up. i don't pound on my wah, just rock with it.

Customer Support : No Opinion
no need, hope there is none ever, but i hear they are a good group.

Overall Rating : 10
smokes other wahs. teese has great ears, he knew waht he was looking for in a wah. yeah, i can go boutique, & it has been worth it. i've played for 26 years, & may get another for a backup--though not necessary at this time. he makes wahs that go better with single coils, & wahs that work with les pauls. his site explains this. very colorful wah. i use a dunlop univibe, option 5 leslie effect, fulltone trem, & occasionally a maxon phaser--the one knob blue box. the amps break up great for drive.

Easy to get a good sound of and very versatile too. The adjustable knobs on the outside of the case make it easy to make adjustments. This is the 2006 version with fuzz friendly technology and with the power jack input on the left side of the case.

Sound Quality : 10
I have not had a single problem with this pedal thus far and really don't expect to as it appears to be solid and well built. I have no problems with placement and don't really intend on moving it all over the place as it sounds good at the beginning of my board. It's quiet when not active and doesn't affect the tone so the TB works well. The tones I get are out of this world whether clean or distorted, with the amp(s) OD or with pedals, very nice, very vocal and articulate. This is a fantastic sounding wah pedal.

Reliability : 10
I believe this would be good to go without a backup but since I run 2 separate amps and boards for A/B I have an awesome wah modded by garmopat on my other board that would do anything I ask it to as well.

Customer Support : 5
They seem friendly but I sense that they are very busy because you can't always get what you want. They went through a backlog when the company they purchase their cases from seriously effected their order which caused everything to back up according to their website. The only other thing I don't agree with is that you can't transfer the warranty to anyone else even if it's within the 1 year.

Overall Rating : 10
I play primarily blues and rock and this wah is a great match as is everything else I own and use. Been playing for 3 decades and have a Boogie Mark III Simul-Class and Peavey Triumph Ultra 60, both combos both modded for maximum performance and tone, many Keeley, Garmopat and other vintage and custom pedals. I also currently own the Teese RMC2 as well from late 2006 but that's for another review.

Ease of Use : 8
Very easy to use, the operation is just like a Crybaby, you got to press hard to switch it on. My only complaint is the volume control on the side- sometimes it moves around by itself and unity is at around 1:00. I dont use the wah as a boost, so I alwasy try to keep it around 1:00. Better would be if it 'clicked' into place at unity.

Sound Quality : 9
Sounds great with a strat. Very wide sweep, gets very deep and bassy/low-middy. It is filled with sweet-spots that sound great when you take your foot off the pedal.

While it gets very bassy, it doesn't get extremely trebley. I've never heard a wah like this before. Very thick and smooth.

Not noisy at all and true-bypass.

Reliability : 9
So far so good. I have had it for about 1 month, and it has begun to make that scratchy sound when I move it back and forth, I must try some de-oxit.

Customer Support : 10
Mr. Teese has promptly responded to all of my emails, even when I have asked stupid questions.

Overall Rating : 9
Pretty tight, not that Jimi sound, which is what I've been used to, but a different beast altogether. And I mean BEAST. This is a very unique wah with a very wide, smooth, full sweep. This is no wah-wah-chicka-chicka funk, this is some chkoooooowwwww wheel of fire other ish. Sounds real good with OD or fuzz. The stationary sweet-spots are not to be slept on. I almost use them more than I wah back and forth. The sweep is so wide, I have to re-learn how to play funk by moving my foot just a little.

Easy as any wah pedal.

Sound Quality : No Opinion
This thing sounds unbelievable! I haven't used the picture wah yet, but I think this one is the best sounding wah I've ever used. It sounds way better than my RMC3 IMO (RMC3 is on picture wah setting) . It has the smoothest sweep of any of the pedals I've used. I just sold my RMC2 but am keeping RMC3 and have picture wah on order. Granted it's all a matter of taste and it depends on the other equipment used how good it sounds. On my main rig it sounds frickin incredible. When I used it in a music store it didn't sound nearly as good. I use a good number of other effects in my chain so that has something to do with it obviously. The thing that matters though is how it sounds with my gear and for that I give it a 10.

Reliability : 9

Sometimes the switch doesn't work right and it gets stuck in between positions and no sound comes through. A stomp or 2 on it is all it takes to get it straight so far. No problems other than that. I've only had it for 3 weeks though.

Customer Support : 10
Geoffrey is a great guy, He always answers the phone when I call the shop and answers all my stupid questions. I had to order this wah direct since it isn't available yet really and I had it within 2 weeks of the day I talked to Geoffrey. Great job here.

Overall Rating : 10
This is the best wah I've ever used. I know I'm giving out all 10's here but
I think it deserves them. I admit I was a little skeptical the first day because it didn't sound that great at the music store, but when I got it home and on my pedal board it was the best sounding wah I've ever played. Like I said I haven't played with the picture wah yet...it's on order and should be here in 2 weeks or so. Also haven't used one of the original Clyde McCoys or the Roger Mayer wahs. Those 2 seem to be the only real competition. This is my 3rd wah from Geoffrey and I'll probably never use another brand. I have used the various store brands, an RMC2 and an RMC3. This sounds better than all of them. I have to give it a 10 because my rmc3 is a 9.5 and this is way better. It may not have the flexibility of the RMC3 but I don't care. I wouldn't change a thing about the way it sounds. Geoffrey really nailed it with this one.

Subtle adjustment in the Wha sweep point, volume boost to the Wha sound. The first helps with foot comfort/response, the second to push the wha signal through a Boost/Overdrive.

Sound Quality : 10
Very quiet, nice wide extreme vintage Wha sound. Like Zep's "Trampled under foot", or "Bowie at the beeb".
Through a Rangemaster, into a Rivera Knucklehead Reverb,
this thing rules!

Had a bit of trouble with the on/off Switch the first couple of days
, but it seems to have gone away after that.It would just be silent
sometimes, I guess the Switch is broken in now.If it chokes at a gig
I'll be on the phone fast to Mr.Teese, who seems to be a really cool
and honest guy.

Every time(2) I called Geoffrey Teese answered and was most patient and helpfull.
Should get a 12!
