Ease of Use : 9
Easy to use; has 4 controls which are all self explanatory.

One of the reviewers mentions that the ???Symmetry??? control doesn???t seem to do anything??? it definitely DOES - more tremolo pedals should have this as it opens up so many more possibilities.

Rated '9' due to the sheer range of variations on offer.

Sound Quality : 10
Tremolo is my favourite modulation effect by a distance; I???ve played or owned many different models (mass produced and ???boutique???) over the years and this is one of the best I???ve tried???

I currently have three other trem pedals: Empress Trem, Boss PN-2 and BYOC.

The tone is identical to the bypassed signal - I???ve known some trems to add treble, or cut bass, or mess with your tone in other ways.

The volume control allows this pedal to be used as a boost (with depth at minimum) should you wish to do so??? but then you???ll be missing out on all of the tremolo goodness.

The speed range is perfect for me; the highest rate even approaches (pseudo-) ring mod territory.

The ???Symmetry??? control is excellent; it works by emphasizing either the front or back of the waveform - centre on the control being symmetrical, to the left you get a (choppy) hard attack then fade, to the right a soft attack and abrupt cut-off.

I find the hard attack settings work great for rhythm - especially with overdrive or distortion - and the soft attack setting is beautiful when playing some slow, clean arpeggios.

Reliability : No Opinion
I bought this second hand with a few scratches and marks but haven???t had any trouble with it.

It seems very rugged and well built.

I should make a mention of the switch which George Dennis pedals have??? it???s a strange one in that it doesn???t seem to move; rather than activating the pedal with a ???stomp???, you just need to sort of ???roll??? your foot over the switch and it works perfectly. For some people this may take a little getting used to.

This is a great tremolo; very versatile and has a beautiful sound.

It compares more than favourably with 'boutique' pedals costing many times more.

For what this pedal is, I'd rate it a '10', but then it isn't 100% perfect... it would be nice if it had a waveform switch (in addition to the 'Symmetry' control) and tap tempo too (although that's not a big factor to me) so I'll give it a 9.

Probably the only weakness i would give to this pedal is the ease of use...
to actually activate the tremolo you have to step on the "bulge" in the middle (as you can see in pictures), maybe im just not used to it yet but id probably prefer abit more traditional button or pedal style,
still give them credit for designing something original though...
No manual, although on the website it gives you a slight insight in how to get varibale sounds out of it, but from my experimentation of it so far the "symmetry" control does very little.
and also the speed indicator l.e.d is a great little feature, letting you know exactly how fast the tremolo is working and continues even when the pedal isnt activated, great :^D

Sound Quality : 9
brilliant, im using an Epiphone Sheraton through a Marshall AVT100 an you can tell this pedal really is True Bypass, (rejoice!!) compared to some pedals that claim they are true bypass (when theyre not) this pedal actually is!
the sound is clear, responsonive, virtually 0 noise,
honestly i am writing this review because of the lack of information and reviews out there on the net, so i can safely say considering the price of this thing it really does compete with the best and tremolo's way more expensive...

Reliability : No Opinion
havent had it long enough to really see how reliable it is yet, but it is built like a tank so i imagine it will last me a long time...
even the weird bulge to activate it i think will stead me well for the future, so id give this a 9, but just for brevities sake a "no opinion" because havnt really had it long enough...

Customer Support : No Opinion
comes with a warrenty to send off to Czech Republic, i imagine because its a relatively small company the cutomer support would be good, although haven thad it long enough again, so no opinion...

Overall Rating : 10
I play a variety of rock n roll, indie, blues, etc. mainly a lead guitarist and this with my crybaby, english muff'n you can be sure to get those 60's tones right up until today, if youre into anything from Paul Weller, Oasis, Led Zep, Stone Roses, Kinks, Stones, Who, etc this is a really great pedal...
its amazing how varied the speed can go aswell so if you want some extremely slow and strange tremolo youve got it here, right up to a "green day"esque stutter type of tremolo.
And yes if it were stolen or lost id probably buy it again, purely because i think for the price this tremolo pedal can easily compete up there with the very top-end tremolos based on sound quality, feautures, build etc..
well done George Dennis!

It's a tremelo pedal with 4 knobs - fiddle around until it sounds right - simple stuff. It sounds good, it is quiet and it is true bypass.

Sound Quality : 10
It sounds good, it is quiet and it is true bypass. I use it with an old selmer valve through a marshall cab, and a modified ashdown 20 watt valve amp with an alnico jensen speaker. It sounds great with my G&L ASAT and my tokai goldstar sound strat. I use it with a mains boss power supply and it is noiseless.

Reliability : 10
It seems fine to me - very solid, like my other George Dennis pedals (2 others - this is the best one). Well built Czech stuff, not a Skoda.

I've been playing for 20 years, live as an enthusiastic amatuer, in the studio as a pro doing soundtrack stuff. On Guitar I like blues/jazz/vintage rock n roll and funk (although this isn't what tended to pay the rent). This pedal is lovely with a bit of short delay and a strat + subtle whammy bar.........shimmer, surf, psych out. Tremelo's can be noisy when built into old amps. This one is just right.

Very easy to use and easy to get a good sound out of it. It's not as versatile as I thought it would be, with the symetry knob. I'm not sure what that knob is supposed to do... besides that there is a speed know, depth, level, it's TRUE BYPASS, it's an opto tremolo, it's funky, it's from czechoslovakia and just plain cool.

Sound Quality : 10
Tremolo is a big part of my sound, I have either owned, tried or currently own just about all them, the awesome supa-trem, the eh wiggler, the voodoo lab trem, and they are all great pedals, no doubt, but the george dennis is a lot cheaper and you would know it, cuz I think it stands right up with any of these pedals. The trem is smoooooth and it sounds great. I think there is a slight volume cut, but not too bad that it diminishes anything. I used it with my band and it fit right in. I like the light that goes to the tempo so you can dial it in. I'm getting used to the footswitch, it's kind of funky and one of a kind, if you see a picture of it you'll know what I mean. I keep foot on it and then just kind of lean into the pedal and it comes right on. I a/b'd it with my strat just going straight into the deluxe reverb and then with the GD220 and there was no tone loss. true bypass indeed. It's a cool rugged, battery operated, funky, one of a kind pedal.

Reliability : 9
rugged, built like a tank - batteries or 9v adapter, either one works.

Customer Support : No Opinion
don't know much about george dennis and his company. I don't imagine I'll be worried about it

Overall Rating : 10
Overall this fits in well with my sound. I was relying on the trem that's on my deluxe reverb and this is a nice substitute. I really like the sound, it's very warm and a great bargain. yeah
