It takes awhile to dial in your sound but it's worth it in the end. I got mine without a manual at a local vintage shop. Four knobs: Speed, depth, feedback, and effect. I've never been happy with plug-in and play pedals anyway because when you want to tweak them they are usually one trick ponies.

69 Gibson Les Paul Custom/62ri tele with bardens>RMC3 Wah>
GDChorus/Flanger>lovepedal karl>ocd>tc d.l.a.>Holier Grail>Laney vc100 w/weber,mullard,and other n.o.s. goodies.
Is it noisy? Not really unless you have the feedback cranked
Are the effects weak? I bought it for the chorus which I thought was outstanding. The flanger sound like a negative type of flange. I used to have an mxr but this doesn't sound like it. Subtle like the begining of The Pretender by Foo Fighters not like EVH. But like I said I'm probably not going to use that side of it. It more of a novelty for me.
So 10 for chorus/ 8 for flanger = 9 overall

Well it seems to be built like a tank. Yeah I wouldn't need a backup for this it seems indestructable. Haven't had it on my pedalboard more than 3 months so it's too soon to tell.

I play everything(rock, country, grunge, punk, etc.) it's what I wanted in a chorus and it has true bypass. It had a boutique sound at a dod price. Nails 80's stuff like Pretenders or Police.
How long have I been playing? 20 years
What if it was stolen? I think i'd be screwed. I researched them a little and could hardly find anything on the web. Never saw one before this one. Looked on ebay after I bought mine to see if I got a good deal and couldn't find one. So I think I'd be fuducked.
what do you love about it? I do love the chorus, flanger to me was just an extra bonus. True Bypass was key. I like change from time to time and this pedal has a broad spectrum of sounds.
Did you compare it to other products? I was fighting not to, but I actually was going to buy a racksetup like eventide. I loved the chorus on that to but man the price couldn't be justified for me only playing out 8 or 9 times a month. This solved my problem.
To sum up phenominal chorus, decent flanger, true bypass, rugged boutique style pedal for under $100 used.

Easy to use and understand for the most part. Because it's a chorus and flanger there is some getting used to how the dials word, but pretty simple.

Frankly, the chorus effect was really mild...a little much and got lost in the mix. The flanger was good and was nice sounding. My biggest problem was the size of the pedal, along with the switching button which is kind of unconventional. Takes up a lot of space and turning it on and off is a bit more difficult.

Overall, not the greatest pedal for chorus although the flanger was quite nice. Probably would not buy again if something happened to mine.

This is a little tougher than a boss ce-2 to dial in but well worth the effort. I've played a lot of different chorus units including old MIJ ce2's and 3's, TC Electronics (fabulous pedal but the Dennis is almost as good and a little more versatile. You can dial in some insane Hendrix/Trower type stuff as well as a nice clean, pure chorus. Very musical and warm sounding. Vastly superior to boss.

I play a rosewood fb '62 RI strat ('91), an 80's Jap strat, maple neck with a JB junior bridge, Custom shop middle and Seymour D Alnico II neck, and a '93 Hamer Special Flame Maple with a JB bridge and a '59 neck. I play through a highly modified SF Twin and a killer tweed Champ (for practice). Been a pro for many years. I have a big pedal board. Some of it: older Dunlop wah (modded)> Goudie compressor (highly recommend!)> Hermida Mosferatu and Zendrive - Carl Martin Red Repeat & George Dennis go through the fx loop (one of the dozen or so mods on my twin)
I've used the George Chorus through the loop and in front. Sounds awesome and dead quiet either way.

Don't know, can't seem to break it. I have the best amp tech in the world anyway so he'd fix if I can ever figure out a way to break it.

I play everything rock and blues. Never was a jazz guy but do some modern country. It's just rock n roll with a twang anyway. Been playing for a long time. I hope it never gets lost or stolen because these babies are HARD to find!! I got mine on ebay and have not seen another there in the last six months. I'd search and destroy the bastard who stole it... Would try to replace it. I love how you can't get a bad sound out of it and it has such a wide array of sounds. Definitely helps, does a great flanging, kind of Leslie sound too.

Very easy to use. If you've ever used a chorus or flanger in the past, it's a simple transition.

Here is this pedal's greatest asset - sound! It's super quiet with a true bypass. It's chorus is as sweet a chorus as any I've heard, probably better. The flanger (although I rarly use it) has an almost organic tone. It mixes well. The first time I played it, I giggled. A couple years later, I'm still infatuated with it.

Built like the pedals of the past. Steel box (thick and sturdy) with a thick rubber pad over the switch plate. This is AWESOME! A spilled drink will not get into the switch. It's heavy, too. Pots are smooth and firm. Powdercoated color.
Depend on it!

I've never had to call, but I hope I never do. This pedal is made in the Czech Republic! DOH!

OK, the only thing I can whine about is this: the pedal has rather tall little rubber feet. Now this is fantastic if one were to use it on a floor, but if you want to velcro it to you pedalboard, the ruuber feet will need to be removed. (Removing them will ruin them 50% of the time - at least for me.)
This pedal goes SO WELL with my Maxon AD80 analog delay. Ooooohhh...
If you can find one (no easy task) BUY IT!!!! You will not be sorry!

The sounds are as good as any flanger i've used before, it is much easier to use than the boss flanger and the controls give a good even sweep of the sound range. To use the pedal all you need to do is tap the bump and you are away, it is touch sesitive!

i have played it with a b.c.rich mockingbird and an original 70s strat it sounds great through both. It is like a studio pedal, no background noise at all. You can generate a wide sweep of flange or if you turn the feed back down you get a crisp chorus, very handy.

This pedal is a brick and i have bashed it around a little and it is still as great as ever. The only down side is it rips through batteries like you wouldn't believe so i recomend a 9v-power supply!

I play a lot of rock and alternative, it fits in very well and if i had the money i would buy another if i lost it. It is just so versitile, you could be playing something from mars at one moment then play with your knobs and your in industrial heaven. I reccomend it to anyone. Although it may be pricey!!!
