George Dennis Super Phaser Volume

Its pretty easy to use, it wouldn't be easy to adjust much on the fly while playing, in terms of increasing or decreasing the phaser rate, as the pedal controls volume at all times, and not the phaser rate. But its easy to use overall.

The pedal's volume function is always on, and its dead quiet. The phaser is nice, warm, not really outstanding, but nice. I personally am experiencing some extra noise from it. I get a series of 6 clicks that repeat over and over, but only audible on the clean channel of my Carvin MTS 3212. If anyone reading this, or anyone at George Dennis knows how to fix this, I'd LOVE to hear about it, as I'd like to keep this pedal, but the noise I'm getting is bothersome.

Seems reliable, the 3.5 mm jack input is a bit more loose than I'd like, seems like it could fall out pretty easily.

We'll see..

I like it overall, its great, except for that extra noise. Its only audible on the clean channel, so I only use the phaser with distortion, to make a nice thick phased signal. That sounds great, but I wish I could use it under more circumstances.

I PICKED UP THIS PEDAL CAUSE I HAD 45 BUCKS BURNING A HOLE IN MY POCKET AND THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST PEDAL I GRABBED IN A LONG TIME(CHECK OUT IBANEZ LA METAL)THE REASON FOR THE REVIEW IS THIS LAST SATURDAY I GOT A IBANEZ PH 10 AND I HATE IT(ITS VINTAGE BIG F*#K'N DEAL SO IS MY GRANDMOTHER HELL SO AM I)OTHER PEDALS IVE TRIED WERE NOWHERE AS WARM,DEEP OR VERSATILE.MY ONLY BEEF IS THE CONTROLS ARE ON THE SIDE MAKING IT A LITTLE HARD TO CHANGE WHILE PLAYING LIVE.IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS I WILL BE RETURNING THE PH 10 AND EXCHANGING IT FOR GEORGE DENNIS ROCK WIZZARD.THIS COMPANY MAKES KICK ASS PEDALS

It's real easy to use.. with an optical controlled rocker, and 4 knobs it's more versatile than any other phaser i've ever experienced.

It has 4 knobs:

- Rate, this determines how fast the phaser goes up and down
- Depth, this determines how deep the phase goes, from a shallow atmospheric effect, to deep 'wowowowow'-like sound.
- Feedback, don't really know what it determines, but it sounds cool
- minimum volume, we all know what it determines.

the rocker has 3 functions

- Volume pedal
- Phaser / clean blender
- on/off switch for the phaser effect.

i did put one point off, for 2 reasons.

1) it has a 3.5mm jack-plug for the external powersupply. i wish they would have kept that the standard thingy.
2) no manual..

This baby rocks ! I use it with both a 4- & 5-string bass, and it keeps the lows in very good, even the low B ( some phasers tend to 'fart out' on the low B )
the phase-shift can go from a 3 second phase to a 0.3 second cycle.

The cool part is the feedback button. if turned way down, the pedal has regular phase shifting. but when the feedback is turned way up, the phase becomes almost wah-like. VERY cool :D

Made in Czech republik, this thing was build to last.
The housing is made from thick metal with big, thick rubber pads that will absorb any excessive stomping :)

the on/off switch for the phaser is also made in rubber, so the switch won't break. they've given this a lot of thought.

Like i said.. this thing is built to last..
so i've never had any need for contacting them..

I'd reccomend this to anyone. it sounds real nice and warm.

This is a all in one volume and phaser pedal. The rocker pedal is also the on/off switch for the phaser. This means that the volume is at its loudest the moment you switch on the phaser.
The three knobs for setting the phaser are placed too low on the side of the unit. Result of this is that when your fingers are a bit bigger than usual, its not always easy to handle them without being in fight with the floor.

The sound is the reason why I boujght this unit.... Extremely warm. The best phaser I ever heard. However, extreme sounds are not its cup of tea. Advantage is that there are hardly any unusable sounds within this thing. Great!

Have had no trouble with it. I've had it now for about five years and no strange noises are heard. Maybe due to the fact that the unit is completely closed for dust: the rocker pedal is optically controlled. The volume control is smooth and without noise.

Thank God, I have had no experience with them.

Great sounds, sturdy unit, reliable, however, the user friendliness leaves something to wish. But that sound......
