I love this thing. Plug into it, adjust for distortion and tone, set the level. Nothing more to it.

Sound Quality : 9
Unlike others, the first time I plugged into it I couldn't get a bad sound out of it. Fender Clapton Strat into the Wizard into a Deluxe Reverb with nothing else. Man it sounds great. I play mostly blues and classic rock, and with a delay pedal behind it I can't imagine a more simple setup to cover most anything I play. You can get from slight distortion to a nice sustaining fuzzbox sound using the Claptons TBX, midrange boost, and the volume knob. The only other thing I need is a true-bypass box to take the Wizard out of the signal path when I need a real clean tone or want to get tube overdrive instead, which has more blues-grind than the Blues Wizard. Mine is not noisey.

Reliability : No Opinion
Haven't had it too long, but haven't had any problems either...

No experience.

Overall Rating : 8
If you're looking for a cool, easy to use, simple setup distortion pedal this is a good way to go. If you want a volume pedal, get a volume pedal instead. If you want true tube overdrive tone, get a OD pedal instead. I have about 40 pedals that I'm always playing around with so I've compared it to many others. I really like this pedal, but it would be cool if there was some way to true-bypass the distortion circuitry completely making this a more valuable volume pedal combination. I would call this box the Distortion Wizard or Rock Wizard cause I don't think it produces what I call a blues sound. To me it's more of a rock distortion, but it is very nice, and I would recommend it to others.

I've tweeked every knob in my system with this pedal and can only get a fair sound.
It's not hard to understand, control wise.

Sound Quality : 5
Fender Strat, Gibson Explorer => MXR DynaComp => Fulldrive II => Boss Metalzone => Wizard Blue => Boss RV-3 => Morley Volume/Wah => Fender 65' Twin RI (A/B) Marshall JMP Super Lead w/4X12" Cabinet.

Pretty noisy on higher settings.

Reliability : 7
Looks like it's built sturdy.

I play Blues, classic rock, metal, surf and some country.
I've played guitar for 25 years in and out of bands.
I love the concept of the pedal, but not much more.
There isn't any magic here.
I'm going to cut it loose. I can't get it to work with anything I play.

Ease of Use : 10
its very easy to use...just like any other pedal...plug a guitar in the IN jack and out the OUT jack into an amp...then turn knobs to desired sound.

Sound Quality : 9
im using this with a Fender 212 amp (100 watts) lined out, into the jack you would plug a bass into on a Peavey TNT 115 bass amp (160 watts) and then lined into another Peavey TNT 115 bass amp (160 watts) ...the sound is quite huge with the distortion part of the pedal...quite Crazyhorse!

Reliability : 8
i can depend on it...almost more then i can my other pedals.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 10
its a fun pedal...i got it cause it was there in a shop and i had the money

Ease of Use : 7
easy to use 3 controllers : gain tone volume and it also can be used as a volume pedal ( not so practical in fact) turning on and off the effect is like turning on a wha pedal which is not so comfort ( you have to majke a good press of the leg ...)

Sound Quality : 8
I use it with a sg std. or hartfield talon v through a fender twin or marshall jcm 800
sounds great for gary moore kinda blues or for hard /punk/grunge/rock certainly not for metal .I just love its crunchy sound.
but there is a minus which is the tone controller that dont contribute anything to the sound so i keep it at the high position

Reliability : 5
well.....about 6 months after I bought this unit the jack for electric supplier jammed
you know ......made in the Czech rep ..... so I had to send another 30 $ to repair it

Customer Support : 5
.....and it took them 1.5 months to bring it back !!!

Overall Rating : 8
Its a great effect it sound well ( when it works ) perfect for all kinds of blues/rock
( remember - not metal ! ) the effect itself is too massive and big but I dig it a lot

not really anything to say here you plug it in twiddle the knobs and away you go

Sound Quality : 7
Well the sound is not bad at all probably best for a weedy sounding guitar looking for some balls but adds some reasonably nice tones to anything else it has a oarametric eq which kills a wah sound if its set on anything other than at its most trebblly. the distortion control dosn't do much in the bottom third of its range. but other than that the sounds are loud , proud and pretty cool. oh it is also a volume pedal as well which works great with the effect on or off. But it loses marks on versatility a little bit more of everything except output level would be good

Reliability : 9
rugged casing optical control instead of a pot and clever battery access (easy to get to in a hurry but dosen't fall out either) make it a reliable package

Overall Rating : 7
its a pretty good distotion pedal there are some cool blues sounds in it and some dark distortion as well the volume swell an added bonus and works great to (optical control thingy so no pots to get dirty) and its pretty rugged . the casing is tough and you can adjust the controls with you feet with a bit practice but as I've already said a bit more : treble in the eq and distortion would be nice the rock version of this pedal might be your style but i havent heard it so I can't comment on its performance
