pretty easy, it's hard to find the pin holes without moving the rear plate of the bassman.

these tubes are best suited for an amp with more of a low end, like a bassman or if you wanted to lively the highs and highmids on a bigger amp. For my application they sound really sweet.

I have just put them in and had 2 2 hour jams to try and break them in, and didn't experience any craziness with cathode shorts or anything.

Fender re-brands the same Sovtek 12AX7WA's and sells 'em for $9.00.
If GT actually tested them, and I don't beleive they did - not these or the 12AX7M's I bought (went through 4 of the to find one good one) - then they would warrant the 'premium prices'.
If they intend to keep soaking us for inferior and overpriced products (what that comes from china isn't cheap? Isn't that why we do business there?) I strongly suggest that GT take a good look
at the 4lb "Crate PowerBlock".

I use a Les Paul Studio plus-Monster performer rock 21ft-morley Mark Tremonti power wah-boss TU-2-Monster performer rock 12ft-Marshall AVT20. It still isnt the quitest tube when cranked up...but i figure it's because of the low wattage of the amp.
Doesnt have much character to it's tone...it's an alright tube if your just replacing a tube on a practice amp...it sounds alright in a low watt combo, but in a 100 watt...i dont think it would get any better. Get the sound of my favorite artist?? lol thats a bunch of BS...nobody can get somebody elses tone...everybody has their OWN style and technique.

Customer Support is phenominal!!! An absolutley great company...Tech support is the best...the guy that runs it (Myles Rose) he's answered soooo many of my dumb questions. I go into my local guitar center one day and they try to sell me two duets (that would equal 4 power tubes) of the same rating, cause they tell me that they DONT sell quartets, (which is crap cause every place online does)so i email Tech support and he tells me that buying two duets will NOT get you a matched quartet. He told me to insist on a matched quartet.
Without tech support i would have been screwed over by a bunch of dumb asses that dont know ANYTHING when it comes to cretain stuff. I am now a much wiser and more well rounded guitarist...i'm only 17 years old and i know a lot more about amps and guitars than most of the butt heads that work at Guitar Center. Thank you soooo much Tech support, you'll never know how much your help has ment to me.
I'de give them a 20 not a 10 if i could.
(By the way....guitar center is way more expensive on groove tubes...i brought in a magazine and i got the 12AX7-R for $2.00 cheaper.)

I play hard rock, like: Creed, Chevelle, Relient K, 12 stones, ect. I've been playing almost 3 years.
Last but not least....to all you striving guitarists out there...Dont get screwed over by some of these guitar places...you get to know your stuff, from the companies themselves. it will save you money and heartache in the long run.
Rock on!! God Bless.
