Push the screening can down turn and pull it off.Pull old tube.Line up the pins press new tube in.Put screening can back on.If ya can figure this out you shouldn't be swappin tubes.

Sound Quality : 7
These are afterall made on Telefunken Machinery by Ei in Yugoslavia and just screened by Groove.Well I tried these in various combinations. They have a bit more treble which I like to a point. There body is decent and frequencies are well balanced.A very good tube which can compete with some of the mid grade NOS.I find these better than GE,Sylvania,China,Sovtek(which are horrid!!).I've found that using three of these in a Marshall is not the greatest they make a slight harsh middy clunk. But out of many mid grade NOS these topped the heep for V1 of my Marshall.
I'm currently using a Ei 7025 in V1 with a NOS Tungsram in V2 and a longplate American NOS tube in the PI.The Tungsram was nice in V1 but not as livly as the Ei/GT.But the Tungsram was abetter choice for V2 as it smooth out the sound more were as the Ei was a hair clunky.

Reliability : 8
Well post 2001 Ei are known to go microphonic.I dunno bout the groove tested ones though.
If I were you I'd search for 1980s Ei smoothplates.

Best sounding tube of anything made today.Sovteks are terrible, lacking gain and clunky.
I think they rock in V1 but are not so hot when using all three positions.
I've never owned Telefunken,Mullard,Amperex bugle boys but these are definetly up there with Tungsram and RFT.And they kill Sylvania and I like um better than GE too.I rate them a 10 only cause you can get 80s Ei for $10 a pop per tube, were as a Tungsram is $25 and GE $25 and RFT $30

GT-7025 Preamp Tube. Easy Installation. User friendly & No amplifier Biasing necessary...

Sound Quality : 10
I'M currently using the GT-7025 Tubes in a 100 Watt Marshall JCM 900 Dual Reverb 2x12 Combo w/75 Watt Celestions. I also have an Ibanez Tube Screamer TS10 (Japan) + a custom Mahogany USA Hamer w/Schaller Locking Trem & Dimarzio Fred Pickups. This is a great tube. I use thease tubes in V1 & V2 position for tone & gain. EI (European Made) Large plate. Wide frequency response & High gain. This tube does have a strong treble response which in my opinion does mellow in time. In no way is this a thin sounding tube. Their is a lot of clarity & depth. This is one of my Favorite tubes. It depends on the amplifier you have & the type of sound your looking for. I play at low volumes w/5881/6L6 tubes. I was looking for a tube that had a good amount of gain & a strong treble response. Clairty & depth are important to me. I'M into Van Halen, Joe Satriani, David Gilmour & Randy Rhoads. These Tubes give me a sound that fits my playing style. I'M currently experimenting with the V3 position in my Marshall (Phase inverter). I'm in the process of trying 12AT7, 12AU7, 12AY7 & 5751 tubes with lower gain to achieve a cleaner & brighter power section. I do my own biasing & switch between Sovtek & Svetlana Power Tubes. I also like Sovtek 12AX7WB preamp tubes as well. They have + amount of gain with a very clear & open sound. The also stay clean for a while without getting overly compressed like a Sovtek 12AX7WA.

Reliability : 10
I alway's feel confident using Groove Tubes. You know when you use Groove Tubes your using tubes that were tested in Depth. I can depend on their products 100%... Many online vendors claim to test their tubes??? If they do they do very little testing & back up their tubes with a Warranty. I want something that I can rely on + a good waranty. Quality, Tested power & preamp tubes = Maximum Tone & Long Life. That's what you get w/Groove Tubes. Their Tubes are alway's quiet because the test for noise.

I have been dealing with Groove Tubes for 10+ Years. Their right on target, easy to get a hold of & alway's willing to help. My emails & phone calls are alway's answered very quickly. These guys know what's going on & stand behind their product 100%. You can save a couple Of Bucks & by generic untested tubes. They might sound good for a while & last a fair amount of time. The end result is if you buy untested, weakly matched tubes you might buying the same tubes twice. Groove Tubes will last longer & you will achieve Maximum tone.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing for 12+ Years & these tubes fit for the style of music that I play. I would definitely buy these tubes again. I like Groove Tubes & EI. I have checked out so many tubes for my Marshall JCM 900. GT7025, GTECC83, GTECC83S, 12AX7R, GT12AX7, GT12AX7C + Sovtek LPS, LP, WA, WB, Electro Harmonix EH12AX7, Svetlana 12AX7, GE JAN 12AX7, 12AT7 (CHINA), 12AX7 CHINA (NOS) So far my Favorite Tubes in this Marshall have been ~ GT7025, Sovtek 12ax7WB, GE JAN 12AX7 & the NOS 12AX7 Chinese tubes are OK. So far the GT7025 is my favorite tube for Quality, tone & gain. What it comes down to is the amp your using & what type of sound your looking for. It's all personal preferance. That's why theirs so many products out their. Something for everybody. For me this is the right tool for the job....

I wasn't very impressed with these. They had to much of an edge to them. The gain was there, but it was just a little to harsh for me. I was uses them with a marshall preamp and Les Paul. I would probably only consider using them with a Strat.

Reliability : 6
They lasted maybe a year or less. I have other Groove Tubes last much longer than this ran under the same conditions.

I wouldn't ever want them again with my current setup. I wasn't impressed. Blah!
