Ease of Use : 8
Nothing to complicated. Four knobs, gain, filter, dist. level, and normal level (a dry signal). Some basic tweaking will yield some different tones.

Sound Quality : 7
This is comparable to the "The Fuzz" micro pedal, with less edge and more contour control. The fuzz has a lot more metallic definition, but I like this one for it's flexibility, and it has a fatter sound by itself. Between the filter range and the ability to dial in a more subdued texture with the clean signal being more pronounced, it makes for a versatile pedal. I have been using it for extended range guitar and leave it on a darker setting with the filter for a contrast with my other fuzzes, playing fast might start sounding mushy. Haven't tried it through bass yet, sure it sounds pretty industrial.

Reliability : No Opinion
I bought this used on ebay, I have never seen or heard of one elsewhere. I think it may be from the 80s, so the pots need a cleaning on mine but they work fine. I've been toting it hear and there without problems, judging by it's age it's held up. Metal casing, receded plastic bar foot switch, but it works.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with Guyatone.

For $30? Yes! If you see one for a good price and like heavy fuzzes, I would definitely recommend it. I would have payed more, it has a unique sound with some features I haven't seen on anything else. Compared to a boutique style fuzz or distortion, the quality is obvious, but for a mass produced pedal, it is a good addition. The only knob that has any real contrast is the filter knob, but between the four it has a good number of timbres that can come out. Another interesting product from Guyatone. If I could, I would probably give it a 7 1/2.
