This pedal is crazy simple to use. No problems here.

If you are looking for the warm, 70's tube compressor sound, this pedal is a great choice. I definately prefer the BL-2 to any Boss, Digitech, DOD, or MXR offering. I'm happy to report that it doesn't add any noise to the signal with my Fender P, J, or MM 'Ray 5. The sonic characteristics of the compression are of the same general quality as my EBS and Demeter, but has a slightly darker and more organic tone. I use compression judiciously (2:1 to 4:1 max)- in that range, the Guyatone is more organic sounding than the Demeter. I really, really like it!

I've had it secured to my pedalboard for a month, gigging 3-4 nights a week. No problems so far, but the switch does feel a little cheap. I suspect a 2-3 year lifespan on the switch and about the same on the rubber gasket holding the bottom plate on, but we'll just have to wait and see. I'm not going to sweat it.

I've contacted Godlyke Dist. in the past and they've always been very cool and helpful. My rating is based on that.

I love this compressor. Even though I got mine used and at a crazy good price, I'd have no problem going out and buying a new one at whatever they go for new. It's small, sounds great, and has some personality! Nice work Guyatone.
