This thing has subtle bell tones to space age wobble. It is extremely easy to use with two knobs and a switch, hell I did it! The manual is fine, not overly detailed, but it doesnt need to be.

Sounds great and can pull out dozens of different sounds- from a clean boost, to chorus, to flange, to tremolo, to vibrato. It sounds great and is quiet. Dont accidentaly step on a powerful high gain dist. pedal when this is on though, it will rip you a new asshole and melt your brain FEEDBACK! But then again high distortion and flange doesn't mix...

It seems sturdy, it is just so tiny, i mean it makes those little plastic danos look giant. This however feels like a mini tank on its own, the knobs im worried about though...very tiny and plastic. The bottom is secured with a rubber ring- no screws so i'm also kind of worried about that, but I don't gig, so why would i need a backup?

Awesome pedal for beginners and professionals alike. It sounds incredible. I mean if you want ultra flanging this will do it, but it doesn't sound like an airport- ie, the Lovetone ? flanger. It really is great though, even if it looks like an easter egg.

Extremely easy to use. Rate and Depth knobs. Resonance switch. The resonance switch and knobs are kinda small, but then again it is a "Micro" effect. The electronic foot switiching is GREAT. No click. Manual needs improvement though

Sound is great. The resonance switch is like a mode switch. Chorus mode is great. Real lush and leslie like. Or go for vibrato. THe flanger is good too. Fast to jet-plane. The third is like flanger +. It has more feedback and is more dramatic. THe pedal is quiet. Gives a slight boost in output. The only thing that could be better is that it is not chorus

Well, its pretty small, but looks tough. The battery option is not great. You have to take of the rubber part and the back slides right off revealing the battery. Kinda a pain, but not like unscrewing four screws on a wah. But i don't use batteries so who cares. The metal looks kinda thin.

I am really happy with it. Everything sounds good and works excellent with distortion. It is kinda small, but that is a good thing for people with tight pedal boards. the electronic switching is excellent!! Sounds amazing. Lush or tight-whatever you want. The only thing is they will probably come out with a stereo option soon-so sucks for me

After gigging/rehearsing with it for a little while now, I have to say the tone on this thing is incredible. Not only for the imitation Leslie sounds but for a regular flane too!!

So far so good. Many gigs and rehearsals. Although it is attached to my pedal board now.

After much use, it still ranks as an amazing flanger. It has a great tone and tonal depth to it. It simulates a tape flange really well. What more can I say, it's the best kept secret in flangers right now. I just hope Guyatone doesn't a)discontinue the model or b) "improve it".

2 knobs and one switch - you can't go wrong. That's part of the reason I like it, it's virtually idiot proof.

I use it mainly for a simulated Leslie sound. It's sounds better than the Boss (too metallic), the MXR - (too "waffle-y") or even a Ross. It's more tape "analog-y". The only other pedal I would say sounds as good would be the EH Electric Mistress. The main difference btwn these two are that the guyatone seems to be a little "tighter" sounding in it's flanging, while the EH is more water-y, if that makes any kind of sense. For a regular Flange sound it sounds great too. The resonance switch gives you some great options, although position 2 and 3 seems to be the only ones that really affect the sound noticibly.

the casing seems fine and the switch is great, I don't like the plastic input jacks which I believe are molded into the circuit board. If they were to break then it might be a problem!!

I'd say it's a solid 8. I just got it so the durability factor is what's weighing on my mind now, whether or not it'll last - seeing as how I usually just throw shit in my bag.

This is an analog flanger, and has two knobs and one three way switch. The knobs are for rate and depth, and the three way switch controls the resonance, with settings for low, medium, and high. Manual is sparse, but doesnt need to be very detailed, this unit is very simple. Its pretty simple, you decide how much "sweep" or "resonance" you want in your sound (low, medium, or high), set the three way switch, and adjust the speed and depth until you get the desired flanging effect. It is easy to use, however Im giving it an 8 instead of a 10 because I prefer having a knob for resonance control. The switch works well, but I think that a knob would be more versatile.

I play mainly Fender Strats through Fender tube amplifiers. I have been wanting a nice analog flanger for a while now. I wanted the MXR flanger, but just could not find one, so I decided to try this one out, Im VERY glad I did!! This is an analog flanger, using the out of production panasonic analog time delay chip. This flanger, to my ears, sounds just FANTASTIC!! Its very pulsy, and swooshes a lot. It has a nice thick, rich tone that only a true analog pedal can produce. The resonance switch is the key to using this unit. With the switch in position one, you get very nice lush chorus type effects. In position two, you get more of a flange effect, anywhere from subtle to moderately swooshy. In position three, you get a moderate flange to a jet plane like swoosh. As I mentioned earlier, I prefer knobs over switches, but this one works good enough. I dont really like position three on the switch, its a little to radical for me, but I love positions one and two, and mostly use position two with the rate and depth set just below half way. I play mostly classic rock, and love anything from Jimi Hendrix to Van Halen. I use the flanger to add an ethereal quality to my clean sound, mainly when Im chording. I love how it swooshes and pulses, very organic. It sounds very cool when run after my Jeckyll and Hyde and my RAT. It adds a lot of character to my music, and DOES NOT sound like everybody elses flanger, its very unique. The effect is also quiet when not in use. I hated how my boss flanger would still swoosh when I wasnt playing, I dont have that problem with this unit. As far as sound goes, its all good!!

Very small, but very well made. The pots are very smooth, and turn precisely, no hang ups. The case is made of very sturdy metal, and the switches seem to be of good quality. No problems so far, I use without a backup.

Guyatone is a Japanese company, so when emailing here in the states you get their distributer, Godlyke Inc. I have emailed them a few times with questions and they have always responded immediately. They are courteous and informative, what more could you want?

I have been playing for 6 years now, and have finally found my perfect flanger. I used to want the MXR flanger, but this one just takes the cake for me. I love the tone, just nice thick analog tone. I have discarded all of my digital modulation pedals and now only buy analog. I own a pristine Boss Ce-2 Chorus, and a Voodoo Lab Analog Chorus. I am very picky about my pedals and hand select them. Out of all of my pedals, this one is close to being my favorite. Its small, its analog, it runs off of the boss type AC adapter, and is sounds great!! My only complaint is the resonance switch, which should be a knob. Other than that, this pedal is a fantastic value, and helps me to make music. If your looking for something different as far as flangers go, you owe it to yourself to check this one out, dont let its size or price tag fool you, its a mighty mite!!!

Two knobs (rate, depth), and a 3 way resonance switch - very simple to get a variety of great tones, from chorus-type pitch modulation to full-on "concorde landing at Kennedy" jet sweeps.

Sound quality is really cool and unique. The flanger sweep is somewhat assymetrical, giving it a cool, trippier type of sound that I've not heard from other units. I gave it a 9 because I've heard some flangers w/more top end, but this one is very close to the big boys on the block (EH, ADA) that cost triple what it does. Overall it's very quiet and as I said above there are a variety of cool effects to be had from this compact unit. Also, switching is quiet and no bleed in bypass.

I've been gigging with it for about 6 months and never had a glitch. It's extremely small, which is a plus if you play in bars like me. It's made of metal w/a metal switch, and so far has been very dependable. I've heard people bitch about the battery compartment on Guyatone Micro FX, but I don't feel that it's any worse than any other mid-priced pedals'. I'd use it on a gig w/out backup, as I think I could live if I didn't have a flanger for one night.

Went to their site and asked some questions regarding the unit via e-mail (power supply options, etc.). They answered within 24 hours. The unit has a 3 year warranty, which seems pretty good to me.

Considering the cost of other analog flangers, I'd say this one is a great value. The delay IC chip it uses is out of production, and soon these things won't be around anymore. The price was reasonable and the unit offers several different sounds, all of them usable, in a small, portable unit that runs off a 9-volt battery. Cheers!
