Just like any other graphic eq with 5 bands: 150Hz, 500Hz, 1kHz, 2.5kHz, and 4.5 kHz. Also has an additional slider for volume. I bought it used, so no manual but its self explanatory.

Currently running it in front of my Marshall Valvestate VS100 1-12" speaker combo. Dime3 USA Washburn guitar with Bill Lawrence 500XL in the bridge and Seymour Duncan '59 in the neck. I use the eq to boost my distortion channel to play metal. I play stuff like Slayer, Old skool Metallica, Death, and some rock like Guns N' Roses. Sounds great for distortion and is very quiet. It pushes my amp into metal territory and increases my "Chugga chugga" pick attack when I max out both the 1kHz band and the volume. My clean is pretty good so I don't use it for clean.

I don't gig, but the only issue I see with this pedal and others in this series is the rubber gasket. Functionality-wise I dont see it breaking down. However I will dock points because of the rubber gasket. If you have a pedal board then you wont have any issues. 8 if you dont have a pedal board and 10 with a pedal board. I will rate it for someone who needs it to gig

I play metal and hard rock. This is THE MOST important pedal in my setup as it gives me defined pick attack. Some people don't like boosted mids and it does just as good a job removing them; it removes or adds treble and bass just as well. If it were lost or stolen, I would definitely try to get another one but these are hard to come by. I don't really have any complaints about it for home use...may be a different story. I got mines used for $20, fantastic value. I'd pay $40 used after knowing what it has done for my sound
