well... the pedal has 4 controlers (speed, depth, and 2 "wave" knobs that create sort of a gentle "phasing" effect in diferent constelations. I have no idea what they actually do electronicaly)
I would say it's pretty easy, but not realy straight forwart, because, well, because these strange 2 "wave" knobs are a bit weird.
still, it's simple enough to get the diferent sounds the box is capable of, so that shouldn't be a problem. I actualy enjoyed fiddeling around with them and getting some pretty weird sounds you wouldn't expect to get from a chorus peddal.

I play an Ibanez artcore semi-acoustic through a fender 60W tube amp (super 112, with the red knobs) and when I use the chorus I usually aim for a full, floating, trembly kinda sound. it gives me *most* of what I'm after, but I havn't maneged to get a *deep* chorus without crappyng up the sound.
by that I mean it tends to get cheesy and electronic at the edges (extreme settings).
also, it has strong detuning if you like that, simply push the knobs all the way to one direction (optional, of course).
when aplied on overdriven signal, things get a bit weird and wobbly.
the sliders are fine and have a sufficient range.
all and all, the peddal sounds fine, but not as smooth as some others.
finaly, I have to add something important on the sound:
it sounds *different* than other, more common, peddals.
and that, by it's own right, is great (in my humble opinion).

ha ha ha...
this bashed up unit has gone through countless hands, and it workes fine.
it has obviously taken a great deal of abuse, and it's working perfectly.
when I got it, both sliders were missing, so I move them around with the pick. so, I guess I'm gonna have to give this a high rating, cause I think this thing can take a "functionality contest after abuse" and score just a tad higher than a kalashnikov.

I like this peddal. it's something different u don't see every day on stages and in rehersal rooms, so that's pretty cool to have that uniqe sound for a song or 2 during a show or jam.
I wouldn't go out of my way to get it again, but I do like it and I feel a great fondness to its cute-80's-synthy at times-sound.
it's a nice addition to my rig, between the OD and the delay.
I use it to "weird up" my overdriven chord sound, or by itself to send the signal afloat, u know, it's a chorus. and it works. it's worth a listen and a jam to see if you like it.

If you want than Nirvana 'come as you are' sound this (at least was) a very good place to come. This thing allows big changes in speed and depth, enough to substitute a flanger (I reckon). Can sound a bit, you know, 80's (as you would expect) so care is needed in its use.

Hmmm... seems pretty sturdy. Some plastic, but what needs to be is metal

This pedal goes from Nirvana to Andy Summers, It's pretty useful. But hey, #42 for a guyatone, this could have been really tempremental and I wouldn't have minded. Wish the case gave me confidence, but it's an 80's pedal, everything was crap then. I like the flourescence on the switch, very useful, and it means it can be waved at Bonfire night if you are not allowed near fire. But I am. So I won't. I would love to find out what adaptor this beauty uses....
