One switch, two knobs - pretty easy, ha? Especially, considering that you can't get the pedal to do ANYTHING productive with but one setting...

Used it with Ibanez AS-80 & Gibson ES-325=>MXR SuperComp=>Morley Volume/Wah=>Ibanez TS-10(Vintage)=>the original Rocktron Tsunami.
Noisy? Oh, yeah! Sound great? I don't know... Getting ANY sound out of it is quite a challenge.
At present time I use it as a standalone unit - to crack walnuts & it sounds very bright!

Oh, you can depend on it... Just don't step on it. See, the bottom is made of thin alluminum and it literaly BENDS IN penetrating the battery compartment (Hey I'm only 140lbs and wear sneakers!), putting your amp at risk of a serious pop if it short-circuits. Something ANY pedal no matter how cheap should not do.

I've been playing jazz/funk/R&B since 1994 and this is my first truly traumatic gear-related experience. I replaced the disasterous piece of junk with a vintage AC-powered Morley Wah/Volume/AutoWah (not the same thing, but works for me) and never looked back.

Well ones own perspective of "good can only tell if it is to be liked or not. As in my opinion it having a real sound is lacking. It sounds to fake. Some technological device created in copying the most effect responsive envelope filter or "auto wah" there is the mutron 3 original. And its a joke to even say that they have touched the surface of the plane of the mutron. Go read the reviews fr the mutron 3...perfect ten all across the board, get a clue, these were real engineers and designers of electrical components. Its like comparing a auto mechnic to a rocket scientist

it works well as a paper wieight, thats all its reliably for. Other then that it has a responsiveness of a tremolo bridge. You wonder gee will it go back to tune the way it did the last time the note was hit the ecxcact same way?

2 knobs, and a switch, its easy to adjust. The sensitivity range is fine for guitar. I've used many different envelope filters over the years this is one of the least finicky.

I use this mostly at a local jam where a lot of funk gets played. My Usual setup is guitar->Boss HR-2->WR-2-> overdrive->amp. Guitras vary but lately its a reverend slingshot (p-90's). I have a few overdrives and use whatever amp is available.
This pedal gives a lot of animation to your sound, difference in picking strength are very exaggerated in a good way. really highlites funk rhythms and much easier than using a pedal wah.
Its not the best auto filter for Garcia imitations,, but great for rhythm work. ITs tiny size is great, I can leave it in my gig bag for those situations its good for. I have a EH mini Q-tron thats capable of a greater range of sounds but Its too large for gig bags. BTW this pedal sounds similar to the band-pass setting on a Mutron/Q-tron

The few questions I've had were all answered promptly, to date no problems with anything of theirs I've bought. I'd like to say that their website has some of the best descriptions I've seen.

I'm playing more than twenty years but got more serious the last six or seven years. I'm a pedal fanatic, I'll try almost anything. This is one of the keepers. Great for funky playing, I think its got a ggod sound. If it got lost I'd probably replace it. Its not something you'll use on every song, but it can really shine in the right situation

I use a Fender '99 Strat and a Custom fender strat with texas specials through aan all tube Fender Hot Rod Deville. It's not noisy and the sound quality is great. It's amazing how great this tiny little thing sounds. It sounds greta with other effects like a delay, distortion ect. If you are into Garcia and/or the Edge(they are my favorite), this is the pedal for you!!!! It kicks ass on the 'Deads Shakedown Street, Fire on the mountain, Estimated Prophet. It will blow your mind playing U2's Discoteque.

I play everything from the Grateful Dead to U2 and this pedal seems like it was made for me. Along with my other effects, this one stands to be one of the most expressive and experimental tools in my sound. Compared to the clunky Q-Tron and the overpriced Meatball, I feel that the WR-2 is the best envelope filter out there. If I had to change anything, I would give it a level control and include extra rubber rings for the battery load.(little things) Look! $67 gives me a great sound with money left over to buy more of Guyatone's pedals...which I will!! Their slow volume and Vintage tremelo is awesome as well! I heard there making an envelope filter for bass...is that true?

Well lets just say the WR-2 is antisocial with effect chains. It really kills the output and tone of all the other pedals in my setup.
It's really annoying having all other effects at a tweaked level for your setup and then you stomp the WR-2 and it kills the sound meaning it drops the overall output and quality. It's also not a true bypass circuit.
The only thing that seemed to help is putting a high output pedal before it, and that still doesn't get rid of the total problem. Who the hell wants to invest in an extra pedal just for a pedal that SHOULD have been built more mainstream. That's just an extra pedal you have to click on or off too. They seemed to forget about the competition. They should of put in a line level adjuster or something.
The actual sound I did get out of the thing was fairly decent, but as far as putting it in a effect chain... good luck!

Well I wasn't too happy with the working ability in conjunction with any setups for this pedal. Although the pedals are nice and compact, they should of done something better with the bottom where it houses a 9-volt battery. There is a rubber piece that pops around the bottom base of the pedal and bottom attachment plate. It's not a biggie for me since I have a pedal board with 9-volt battery attachments for 6+ pedals.

The sound quality, for such a small pedal, is great. It can create and sound from a zippy funk rhythm to a Hendrix-style screaming wah. I use it with a Gibson SG and the combination of the Gibson tone and this pedal is unreal.

I play a lot of classic rock and blues. This pedal is so versatile that I can make it work for any type of music I play. If it were stolen, I'd buy another before anything else. My favorite feature is that it can produce really cool funk beats. It sounds great when I play the "Shaft" theme song.

Two knobs.... not very hard eh?
I got this without a manual and I'm not really used to it to a 100% yet... But I'm sure I will be...
This is also my first envelope filter ever...... but it's been great so far..

Im using this with a 70s strat.. and various other effects....
It sounds more synthy that like an ordinary filter effect.....
With my strat it lacks a couple of low frequencys...
One cool thing is to use it with an e-bow and add a delay after...
That way it gets really synthy and very cool and expressive.
It probably sounds really good with a Les Paul type guitar but Ihavent tried that yet.

This one seems rather dependable. I'll probably use it without a backup. Since theyre Guyatone pedals are't available here in Sweden (really stupid!!) and Ive only seen one other apart from mine.
Plus it seems pretty dependable. Besides I cant afford to have backup for all my pedals...

Probably pretty much not there at all. Since Guyatone pedals arent available here in Sweden. But if it would cease to function I would tak it to some guy in one of the stores where I get my stuff and he'd probbly fix it for me. I dont know about Guyatone in general but Ive read good things about them and their distributor in the other Guyatone reviews......

This one is already one of my fav pedals... along with my Boss DSD-2 and some other stuff.... The coolest thing about it is probably the size and simplicity.... They could've squeezed in another knob for EZing I think... It gets very trebly and thin with the bridge pickup on my strat...... But then again it sounds ok with the other PU's and really good with E-Bow and/or delay. Be sure to place this one near the start of your chain. At least if youre gonna use it with a delay pedal. Overall a very cool small grape colored filter...
Im yet to try the other filters available.... EH, MXR etc.......
But those are much more expensive....
And im on a very tight budget right now...
