One of the most versatile filters out there, beats the ones I used to own(MXR,tonefactor,DOD,EH) hands down,,,I used to own the WR2 too, but this is an improved version IMHO
Very very easy to get a good sound

THe sounds are more organic here, the switch for dry effect blend is godsend, the effect is dynamic and responsive to picking.Although its not True bypass, can't really hear the difference, sounds like what a filter is supposed to sound like, not artificial...the "quack" is variable based on your settings..

THe bottom is held by a rubber band though, makes battery access a hassle...its ok with me because I normally use my daisy chained power to meet my needs of my pedalboard-Everything and i mean EVERYTHING is cramped into a small enclosure, good for pedalboard real estate..
I've had it for a 2 years now and I use it on tour with my funk and blues band-no problems yet.

I play Funk, RNB .blues and Jazz, with this touring group of sessionists for 4 years, been professional for 10 years.
I use my strat and my LP for my tours and if this was stolen, I'll definitely buy it again,THIS FUNKIFIES YOUR SOUND man.
Much much better than the other hyped and overpriced filters out there, believe me I've tried them all.
Close sounding to the MUTRON, but I don't know, I feel this is real value not only for money, but for quality.
I love it because its small and unpretentious, and it helps me with my music, both for cleans and leads.
Its good for recording too.Really warm sounding.

Well, the bassy above loved this pedal and this guitar player agrees!Very easey to dial in and the dry-blend helps to achieve a more natural/transparent effect.Filters are the most sensitive pedals to dial in but with 2 knobs this one is by far the simplest.I

I play roots/rock/reggae with a dancehall/funk flavor. My rig is a 70's strat into a reissue fender spring-reverb into a jc-120 head into a mesa vertical 2-12''cab loaded w JBL d-120's.effect chain is WR3+CRYBABY+SMALL STONE+BOSS SD-2+METAL-ZONE+DM3+DD5.As far filter pedals go I have owned /tried them all.Mutron-3,q-tron,maxon,ibanez,dod,dr-q.I have A/Bd the WR-3 with the MUTRON and got extremely close! There is a very small amount of what I call filter chatter[a chattering sound as the envelope decays]but this is almost inpercievable and not a problem. This pedal has replaced the mutron3+ in my pedalboard due to its small size and organic tone!

Two knobs - Sensitivity and Decay - and one switch - Dry Blend On. Takes a little bit of tweaking to use this, especially with the dry blend switch to "off." Has a tendency to cut low frequencies, but this can be compensated for by lowering the sensitivity and w/the Dry Blend on it has plenty of bottom.

I'm a bassist and I own or have owned about every filter ever made - Mutron III, V, and III+, EH Q-tron, Bassballs, and Queen Wah!, Lovetone Meatball, DOD FX25 and 25B, Ibanez AF-9 and UD303B, EMMA Discombobulator, Boss TW, FT, and AW, etc., etc., blah, blah, blah. Most of these have their pros and cons, and I use different one for different jobs. I always liked the filter tone of the Wah Rocker (check out TM stevens solo CD's), but it cut too much low end to be useful on Bass, at least for me. Recently I heard about their new Wr-3 w/Dry Blend so I gave it a shot. Turns out the Blend feature totally solves the low-end challenge, making this pedal usable w/Bass! Sounds great, funky as all get out and a great alternative to other affordable units, which tend to sound pretty sterile. It's analog, so you only get one sound as opposed to the new digital multi-jobs out now. However, you can't beat it for warmth and responsiveness - digital is just too sterile for me!

Haven't had it long, and I've heard and read mixed opinions on Guyatone Micros, so I'll reserve judgment for now. Seems sturdy - metal chassis, pots, etc. I guess we'll see...

Again, no opinion. I've heard good things about their distributor so I hope that if I have any problems they'll ante up. Just in case I sent in the warranty card!

I play all kinds of music (24+ years and counting), but my main original gig is a funky, soulful R&B thing - in other words, a filter is almost a necessity. I run this w/a MM Sabre into an Ampeg V4B along w/several other FX (OD, Octave, Phase, etc.) and it definitely does the job! The nice thing about it is the size - small and light, unlike all the other good filters out there (EH, Mutron, Lovetone, etc) - This is great for walk-in gigs where I can just toss it in the gig bag! These other brands have more options, but the WR-3 is a more practical solution and let's face it, who's treaking knobs mid-song? I'd replace it if lost/stolen, and it wouldn't cost me 1/4 as much as replacing one of these other brands!
