This box is very simple to use, it has two knobs, intensity(depth), and recycle. These are big, heavy duty knobs too, you can turn them with your foot. It's hard not to get a good sound out of this thing.

The sound is very clean, pumping up the rate all the way causes audible clicks, but you would never turn the rate all the way up unless you wanted that space invaders sound. This is the only phaser I've used, but it sounds good to me.
Reliability

This thing is in a bright orange steel box. It looks like a tank to me.. The knobs and footswitch are also very tough. I have never had any trouble with it.

It was forty bucks - I just had to buy it, some of the sounds you can get from it are really great. I wish it had more controls for the sound, but for the price, this was the best box for me.
