This Review is on my experience with the Hartman Analog Flanger. It has three controls: Speed, Depth & Color. Nice Red Metal Flake paint,
Input & Output, and a 9vdc connector. the operation is fairly simple.
There are "Trim Pots" inside the unit for further adjustments that I will go into later. Very nice lay-out of the PCB, "VERY" Clean construction, worth the price of a Hand-Made pedal.

My main setup is a Suhr Standard guitar HSH & Bogner Shiva (EL-34) Older model with Bogner 2x12OS Cab w/Celestion V30 SPKRS. I have a number of highend pedals, George L's etc. My first reaction was that I thought the mix, or amount of effect was lite? Compared to my MXR Flanger, and when played there was a little distortion, that I found out later was the "Trim-Pot" inside the pedal. You might need to adjust it for the Input "Sensitivity" from your other pedals and guitar. After adjusting the Trim-pots, "I WAS BLOWN AWAY!" This has to be the most MUSICIAL Flanger that I've ever used! My other Flangers were ADA, BOSS, FoxRox, Maxon, EH & MXR. All of them are different and most were not bad, but one thing, they were "NOT" very musical? They are more "Overwhelming" of the tone being produced from your guitar & amp. Meaning the tone had that "Very Flange" like thing going on in the backround, for some things it can be good, but you get tired of that real fast! The Hartman Analog Flanger is smooth, and you can hear the "Flange-like" Osallation" in the backround, but it's more "Organic" it Comliments the tone, and it works with your tone, not against it. All of the other Flangers had that "Metallic" sound which the frequency and your amp, would Mask the Chords & Single notes, so for the most part, to me Flangers were little used, only for Very-Rare times would I use it (them), The Hartman Flanger I seem to be more inspired to use it "All" the time. It's not like a Multi-effects Processor with many pre-sets etc. But the tone that you get from it, makes you want to make more music with it! AWESOME PROFESSIONAL DEVICE.

I've only had it for a short time, but when I looked inside the pedal, all of the PC Board looked great! Very clean layout and the "Trim-Pots" are easy to see, There not tiny but not huge also. There is a Battery clip inside, or you can use the 9vdc adaptor on the outside. You can also use 12vdc, but I've found very little difference, my Voodoo Pedal Power II (power supply) can do either
9vdc or 12vdc, something worth mentioning. Again very Professional construction.

I don't like giving 10's on everything because many people give that to junk products when they first get it, but I have to say that it has been a long time since I've been truly "Blown Away" with a pedal?
Most things today have limited use, maybe that one thing, in one song and for many that's OK? For me that's a waste, weather money or room on my pedalboard. I've been playing for over 30yrs and gone through a lot of equipment. I was looking for a "Musical" device, not a noise maker. If I can give a Rating for the Hartman Analog Flanger, it would be "11" (sounds like my SLO days), A truly Amazing musicial device and my thanks to Mr. Hartman
