Much better sounding-this is the'more'mod-more gain,volume and sustain with less of the woffiness...big difference.

These are pretty solid to begin with-don't see a problem here,but i may have him mod another one i own for a spare.

Great for turning a Dunlop(older ones w/seperate switch and board)into a real good sounding pedal-more useful overall and a good mod to have done.

10, as with any fuzz face, turn up the fuzz all the awy and volume to tatse. Actually, Alfonso did two fuzzes for me, a reissue vox tonebender that sounded terrible and a version of a fuzz from a schematic i found using nte 103 transistors. Both sound great, but different.

i use the pedals with my full line of fulltone, prescritption electronics, voodoo lab and teese gear. i have les pauls, hamers, relic strats and teles and a jerry jones. i have matchless, marshall, top hat and fender amps. The fuzzes both scream. the vox is nastier but veru usuable with tons of sustain and the nte 103 is very warm, for a fuzz.

Well i know Alfonso, if it didn't work he'd fix it. i asked him about the volume on the nte103 model and he said, no problem, send it back, i can make it louder.!!!!!!!i'd use both of them without a backup.

See above, Alfonso is a great guy, easy to talk to, no ego, he has his own fuzz face mod which sounds killer--go to www.tonefrenzy.com to check it out, but he will do anything you ask. Right now he is modding my thomas organ wahs and taking a look at my fulltone '69 which has been sounding weak lately...Alfonso calls and/or emails you back promptly. His work is done quicly too. His prices are so reasonable, i am looking for more pedals for him to mod!!!

At $30 a mod, this is the best deal in boutique pedal bar none. I play blues and classic rock--for 30 years now. If these were stolen, i'd call Alfonso immediately and ask him to mod more pedals for me as quickly as he can. He turns the dunlop fuzz face into necessary part of your rig. The tone, sustain and attck are all perfect. The best fuzzes i have--along with my fulltone soulbender and new '70. Alfonso can be reached at ahermida@erols.com. Tell him I sent you.
