this pedal is a custom made mxr distortion plus circuit modified into an octavia pedal. it has distortion and volume knobs and a switch to intensify the octave from normal octavia/treble booster to super octavia so pronounced that you need not touch anything on your guitar to activate the ghost notes which is a very cool thing if you don't like having to switch your tone control to zero and select your neck pickup like you must do with most octavias to get them to work. if you do go through the normal routine of turning down your tone and selecting the kneck pickup you have just created a situation where the ghost notes appear in every fret position, unlike most octavias where it is only apparent around the 12th fret. incredible you say. you are right on jack. but this fantasy is true.

this is a great sounding octavia.
i got rid of my roger mayer after using this for a few days. it is a different beast, but i think does it's job better than the rm. plus you can dial in more destinguishable distortion if you so choose.
Reliability

i have had it close to a year and it has had no problems.
it's housed in a fulltone 69 sized box and i use an adapter with it's existing ac jack.
