9 - It's great for use as a compressor! The clean channel, when properly EQed will do what took me paralell processing and ducking and loads of crap in my digital mixer! Plug a condenser mic into a Rane preamp and run it through the clean (solid state) bit and you are talking Neuman sound for no bucks. Cool discovery! The crunch channel is just a flacid version of the lead channel - quite unnecessary really, just turn the lead gain down to get crunch. Good for switching I guess. The distortion is very good but YOU MUST SELECT THE PROPER TUBE as that which comes with it is a BAD choice. Sylvanias and Rubys work best - and you won't need ANYTHING else - just record your albums and you are done - that's it, really - well, a bit of reverb helps. P.S. This is a very quiet unit too. Any noise you get is from the cord or guitar. A tip - record at night and there is less EMF in the air.

Sure. No problems - well actually yeah. A fuse came loose and a channel went out.

Quick support, but they are slacker trash just like Fender. They drop a dab of solder on the fuse instead of fixing the root cause (the latch) - typical idiots. Music "professional" is often an oxymoron. If you want service, look to the computer industry.
