The Auto-Wah pedal is pretty nice...I like it. It took me a while to get it figured out, because the manual is absolutely devoid of any useful information, but now that I have it, it's all good.

Sound Quality : 6
heeheehee I'm using it through a P/A system (okay, you can stop laughing now). The guitar I'm using is a Jackson PS-4. There is only noise when I use it with a DOD FX-86, but that's because I don't really have anything to cancel that noise. When I first used the AW-5, the effects were really weak and the pedal only filtered out the bottom end. But now that I've figured it out, it's pretty crazy.

Reliability : 3
HA! Gig? Yeah right. I'll stick with my Crybaby for that one.

I play almost anything. From Slayer to Brian Setzer...what a combination. The AW-5 looks pretty kewl, and it helps out a lot when I need really quick wah, so that I don't get my feet tied up. If this was stolen, I'd probably buy a new one because it's just kewl. That, or I'd buy a Line 6 Ax2 amp which has this effect built in, and I'd sell all my stompboxes :-)

Hook it up, push down on it, and wah away. Thats all there is to it. When you are done just push back down on it to turn it off. It has an overdriven wah sound to it with 3 knobs, range, depth, and sens.
I GOT IT FOR $100 AND YOU CAN OWN IT FOR ONLY $70

Sound Quality : 8
I use this wah wah with a Squier Stratocaster and a Crate amp and it works great. When you turn all the knobs up you can hear the wah wah more that the guitar, so don't do that unless you want a noisy ending to a song. It works great with all the amp settings and the effects are not like a big deal it just gives you your basic wah wah.

Reliability : 9
The pedal itself is in absolute perfect condition and very tough. If you threw it against a concrete wall of course it is going to break but it is tough enough, so you get the point.

The Ibanez Co. is just fine.

I play mostly rock and alternative and the wah wah works great for that music. If it were stolen i'd buy the same one, this is my most commonly used pedal and reccomend it to all guitarists.

This pedal has 3 knobs: range (sort of like a tone control), depth (how big of a wah), and sensitivity (how hard you have to play to activate the wah) However, it isn't as easy as you might think to get a good sound out of this pedal. I fing the range dial makes a big difference. All the manual does is explain what the dials do.

Sound Quality : 6
I play a '79 Fender Squire Strat. The guitar runs through this pedal and a Boss Hyper Fuzz into either a Crate practice amp or a really old tube amp. This pedal can be very noisy! When I use my amp's overdrive and this pedal, there is this loud swishing noise that is there even when I turn down my guitar's volume knob. Also, I don't think this effect is quite strong enough. I would be nice if the depth could go deeper.

Reliability : 7
Well, it isn't exactly a Boss. However, I don't plan to be throwing it out my window or performing any other destructive action with it in the near future. It should last a long time for my purposes.

Haven't had any problems yet.

Overall Rating : 8
This is really a pretty decent pedal. The casing might not be that durable, but solid steel casing isn't always necessary. When put before Hyper Fuzz, it creates a cool synthy sound. Because the effect isn't so extreme, it can get boring after a while if you are playing on a clean channel. When I play with this pedal on my amp's overdrive channel, I can get some interesting sounds for riffs and solos. Really, my only complaint with this pedal is that the effect doesn't go deep enough. But for only $50.00 ...

Just three knobs on it. Its real hard to really get to contour your wah but it will do for messing around the house and stuff.

Sound Quality : 7
Its okay for a little stomp back auto wah. Its probably the best auto wah I could find in a pedal. I found some kewl rack auto wahs but this is pretty kewl

Reliability : 8
I can depend on it. I usually just use it around the house. When I do live gigs I use wahs and effects all through the mixer so I dont use this pedal live in gigs.

Customer Support : 10
I love ibanez they are very friendly. I have never had the problem to deal with them about pedals but I did work with them on making a custom Ibanez 7 string and they were very friendly and fast to me.

Overall Rating : 8
I would buy it again.

Only 3 Knobs. Easy to change battery. Marked in and out slots.

Good. The effect is not as strong as the boss auto wah.

It is a very simple to use effect, since there are only three knobs. They control range, depth, and sensitivity.

Sound Quality : 8
The wah effect is quality. I liked it better than the Boss A-wah. I use this pedal to add wah effects after my Digitech RP-10 (it is a great combo because it enables you to add wah to any sound generated by the RP-10). I found this to be an unbeatable combo with absolutely nothing else necessary to create any sound in the world. Try the AW5 after your fx chain or processor- you'll love it!

Reliability : 6
It looks really easy to break, and the knobs are kind of flimsy; but, with the right care I think it will last. Just don't play catch with it or pour booze on it.

Overall Rating : 9
I love this pedal, and with my equipment it gives me the sound I want. If you try it with things like harmonies, octave dividers, or ever phasers it sounds amazing. A little delay fattens up the sound. The depth setting can smother the sound when cranked up, so ease off the knob, cowboy. I really swear by this hunk of cheese, and if you try it, you will too.

It is relatively simple to get a decent sound from this pedal, since all parameters are controlled with three idiot proof dials.

Sound Quality : 8
The wah effect is preety good for an auto wah. I was very apprehensive abount the product, but it turned out to be quite useful. Great for those times you feel like Jerry. Doesn't smother distortion.

Reliability : 4
It is entirely plastic and the knobs are really wobbly. Not heavy duty.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Have never had to deal with Ibanez, but when all the knobs snap off the damn thing I'll mail them back to the company with a nasty letter (and maybe a dead fish).

Overall Rating : 7
I would buy it again because it's the best SOUNDING autowah in a small pedal, but truthfully you're better off skipping the stompboxes altogether and getting an RP-10 or other fx multi processor.
