Ease of Use : 10
A degree in quantum physics isn't required, just 3 knobs: Level, Attack, Sustain. How hard is that. Very much your typical compressor.

Sound Quality : 9
Not particularly outstanding for bass in my opinion, too brittle sounding, but it really sounds nice with guitar. I guess I use it more as a line boost/distortion pedal. It adds some real nice high end shimmer and in conjunction with several other pedals (I use it prior to an old rat and a crusty Boss OD pedal) it allows for a great amount of versatility in the distortion area. If you ever have the desire to get your Sonic Youth on, this pedal is great for feedback manipulation.

Reliability : 10
Very durable. I have abused this pedal to no end. Fairly easy on batteries even. I would and have flown solo with this pedal anytime.

Um, never dealt with them so?

Overall Rating : 9
For the most part I play rather experimental music ranging from pretty low key drone-pop stuff to full on noise terrorism and all points in between and this pedal really is my secret weapon. Anything from shimmering clean to insane feedback can be coaxed out of this ugle orange thing, I love it. I've had mine for as almost as long as ive been playing, 8 years and I would definately hunt down another if I lost this one.

Bought mine used in pawn shop for $29.95 7 years ago.
I've used it ever since and have always loved it.
Super easy to use.

Sound Quality : 9
I've owned probably close to a dozen low to mid priced compressors over the last 20 years (Ashley, ART, FMR, Behringer, DBX) none really do bass guitar any better than this cheap pedal. I've compared it to a couple other pedals like the tech 21 Bass compactor and the Boss compressor and the Ibanez wins the prize. It's very quiet and I've used it with many amps and basses.

Reliability : 10
I never had a problem with it until this year.
The on switch is getting a bit soft and the input jack
doesn't hold a cord very tightly anymore. I'm actually planning
on getting the pedal repaired as I don't think they make these any more. I've used the pedal on about 50 gigs a year for the last 6 years
and I've never had a problem on stage. I tend to abuse my road gear
and this pedal has held up very well. A 9 volt battery lasts about a year!

Never called them.

I play in an original rock band. We play a variety of styles and the compressor is a "set it and forget" device for me. I leave it on all the time with a small amount of compression. If I can't get it fixed, I'll look for another one before replacing it with something else.

Easy. 3-knobs and a cloud of dust. Crank the attack though.

Sound Quality : 9
A bit of hiss. Great attack though. My drummer loved it, as it made the bass come though more, and "cut."

I didn't have a chance to compare it to the Bass Compactor, Trace Elliot and some others that I would have liked to try - but it was the best Bass Comp I have ever used. That includes the other Ibanez pedals.

Reliability : 8
Solid as heck. The Bass Chorus of the same series I had was suffering from a bad switch. Dropped the thing more times than I could think and she still came through for me. The label liked to lift off the thing and had to be glued down.

Love the battery access from this series.

Great pedal. Used the heck out of it until I found a UE-303B Bass Effects, with the Auto Filter / Compressor / Chorus-Flanger from the tail end of the 9-series. Still like the CP10's comp better, but I liked (which isn't normally the case), the UE's all-in-one layout and portability. Not to mention it's A/C powered and I was eating batteries like a madman.
