Its easy to get a good sound but the delay time knob is confusing I usually keep it off or at 3 o'clock but you will need to learn to use it if using the pedal in whack'd mode. There is 4 knobs and 2 switches Speed, Depth, Delay Time, Regen and Chorus/Flange switch Normal/Whack'd mode switch

The reason why I give an 7 is because the flange effect is weak when clean but sounds good when distorted. The chorus effect is good usually but it doesn't compare to most other single stompbox effects. The whack'd mode is cool and basically speeds up the flange or the chorus.

Pretty Dependable seems like its made of plastic though so if you dropped it, it might break. Haven't had any problems with it in the 8 months ive had it

Ive been playing for about 2 years and i own 11 pedals. This pedal is good if you don't have a chorus or a flange so you can get 2 in 1. Also this pedal is good if you are looking for ring mod type effects (whack'd mode). I wish the flange wasn't so weak but its ok because i now have a Ibanez FL301DX (One of the best flangers made 1975)

Wack'd mode is useful.
Chorus is decent (but it's very difficult for me to describe it because I don't like very much this effect)
Flanger is very good with clean sounds and very particular for distorted sounds : It destroy your notes.....you can only ear the flanging....I like it but I know some people can hate it.....you must try it ! I had a Boss BF-2 Flanger and the quality is the same but the Boss doesn't destroy your notes so I prefer the CF7

I play alternative-rock and I've a very noisy touch such as Matthew Bellamy (Muse). My set is......
-Fender Telecster
-Jim Dunlop Original Crybaby
-Electro-Harmonix Big Muff (Russian Reissue)
-Boss OS-2 (Overdrive/Distortion)
-Ibanez CF7
-Boss DD-3 (Digital Delay)
-High-watt Bass amplifier
I'm looking for an used Whammy but there are so many versions of it.............(2, 4, XP-100....).
My favourite guitarist is Tom Morello (Ratm)
.......Johnny Greenwood and Ed O'Brien(Radiohead)
Jimi Hendrix Rules
Sorry for my English.......I'm Italian.......

Turn the knobs. There's four of them, and a switch. I dunno. The switch just made the thing sound like arse, so there isn't really one thats important. Its cool that you can lock your settings, Ibanez really scored with this.

K, setup. '68 Fender Mustang -> Mr. Crybaby -> TS9 -> ProCo Rat -> CF7 -> Ibanez Analogue Delay -> '65 Fender Deluxe Reverb. This pedal sounds alright. Nothing amazing. It doesn't kill your tone when its off. It doesn't really kill it when its on. It doesn't really enhance it in any way. I just got this thing to make some noise really, and to recreate some Incubus sounds, but that Fuel line comes to mind (jeez, remember them?). I also would like to use it in a "Speak to Me and Breathe" type of way, but it doesn't quite sound lush. The chorus doesn't really do anything, I kept bringing my face closer to the light to see if it was on. It was. Then I fell over.

Hey, its a flange pedal. I had 80 bucks and decided today would be a good day to buy a pedal. It was. I bought this one. Cheap, effective. If it got stolen, I'd get pretty pissed, but I wouldn't miss it in any specific way. I only buy pedals because I think I need it when I'm writing a song, like "I hear this sound right... HERE"

I bought this pedal primarily for its chorus function. I would say that the chorus sounds on this are really good. The pedal is also capable of doing a good univibe simulation. You can also get a ring modulator sound. The flanger sounds are a bit of a disappointment, though. The flanger doesn't sound too good with distortion. It's alright if you're using it for a slight flange but its more extreme settings aren't too good.

I think that this is a really good, versatile pedal for the money. The chorus and univibe sounds make it worthwhile. Pity about the flanger.

If you stay in normal mode you'll get some good regular chorus and flanger sounds, but when you get in the whack'd moded learn how to control that stupid Delay Time knob, i personally don't like that whack'd mode, only for getting fast flanger sounds since their not in normal mode and sorrta uni-vibe sound with the chorus. I give it a 9 just because of that stupid Delay Time knowb

great sound quality but when you mix distortion thats between your guitar and this pedal with this pedal while in whack'd mode you lose volume and tone, but if you put a distortion pedal in between your amp and this pedal the whack'd mode will be fine but the normal mode will lose volume and tone, other then that it sound pretty kool by it self and with delay. i rather use my boss ce-5 chorus ensemble though because i barely use flange or those whack'd chorus sounds.

I play a Martin 00CXZE acoustic cutaway through it and it fits my needs. I haven't tested every pedal out there, but for a coffee shop type of setting on an acoustic, i haven't found one that gets the soft tones of this pedal. If you're a hard rock guitarist, i may recomment staying away, you may be dissapointed.

For my acoustic style, it's great, i've been playing for several years and have been using effects in my music for about 2 years. At some points i wish the chorus/flanger sounds were a little deeper, but i don't have many complaints other than that. If you're looking for a pedal to "rock" with, i'd stay away, but if you're an acoustic guitarist, i think it's the best value for your money. Check it out.

incredibly simple, a two year old could operate it...the manual is horrible, not that you would need it anyway

horrendous, this is easily the WEAKEST flanger on the market that i have encountered to date, the chorus section resembles the quality of a 1960's chorus pedal - if you were to smash it against the wall until it no longer mattered what the dials were set too,

this is entriely reliable to sound the same way everytime, its horrible, it cannot be depended upon for anything...as far as gigging without a backup, i wouldnt even discrase myself by gigging with it to begin with

rock/alternative/shoegaze/everything else under the sun, the only remotely interesting thing here would be the "wacked" mode, and even then, the problem of having versatility factors in and this loses...i'm not likely to notice whether this is stolen or not, havnt played with it since the week after i got a BF-3 from boss, probably just hock it for a patch cord or something, i am running out of picks...overall this sucks, certainly not worth it

I had this pedal for about a year and sold it. Is hard to find a really good sound with this pedal.
The manual is good, this explain the functions of the diferents knobs and specifications. This pedal have a lot the options that in the practice won't use that.

I play by a Ibanez SA-160, Boss DS-2, Phaser Small Stone EH, Marshall ED-1, Ibanez CF-7, Fender Performer 650. I put first the ED-1 and after the CF7, DS-2...
Noissy?, not in all, no problem with this and tone sucking even when isn't true by pass.
I buy this mostly for the Chorus and second for the flanger. The Chorus is too weak even with the DEEP to max. In live it's lost, it's not a volumen problem it's a quality problem. The Chorus need more bright and deep, any way it's sucks.
The Flanger have the same problem that the chorus but it's run some better, a little better.
Yo never will get the Van Halen's sound in "I can't stop lovin you" with this Chorus, hearme, never.
And never will get the flanger sound of Lenny Kravitz in "Are you gonna go my way", the rythm guitar of this solo with this pedal.

When i buy it, i'll like use this pedal with my distortion and search a sound like "Comfortably Numb" or Alex lifeson's (of Rush) sound because i play in Pubs this songs and i never found this sound with this pedal. You only Imagine that the Chorus lost in clean, so won't expected more with distortion.
If it stolen i don't care me because who stole that don't have a great electronic piece in his hands.
So, in resume, this isn't a great fx, is too poor and weak. I'll like a Boss chorus, by ultimate before this CF-7.

I was looking for an Alex Lifeson (Rush) sound and its here in abundence. Its very quiet and the subtle sounds are fantastic. The wilder sounds are pretty cool too but I fail to see how you could really use them at a gig-they're more for the bedroom

I play heavy rock ranging from Rush to G 'n' R and for my quieter moments this pedal is stunning. If it were lost I would definately replace it. It kicks Boss's ass and is great value for money even without a flange effect.

Very... you just gotta play with it, when i first got this pedal my first reaction is thats it sound shit really!!!.... BUT.... if you get this pedal "please please play around with it for awhile" its worth it, i have the habit of "if i can't make it sound good in a few seconds, i don't like it!" im being honest here u guys!
I've had this pedal for a year now and i am still makeing different sound with it... its probably the most versatile Chorus/flanger pedal out there on the market, although the flanger effect it not the best, it has choice like no other. there is also i nice 'flick button' for the battery which is better then those f##king BOSS pedals were you have to unscrew the bolt thing to get to the battery....

The sound quality is v.good not amazing but you can get a stereo effect with the two outputs, it makes NO noise when its in my chain
true bypass (if anyone says other wise they have very shit equipment)
It dose play well with others... a team player

If your gonna use it for a live situation...NEVER USE IT WITH THE BATTERYS they won't last for shit in this pedal. I give it less then an hours use before the battery gives up, use a adapter if u can other wise don't use it lots. Other wise... useing the pedal with the adapter i give it it a ten out of ten. ONE year and never a hint of failing on me!

V.Good lots of choice... loads of sounds... Useing it with Batterys is the only downfall coz the go faster then a rabbit being chased, its because the pedal is DIGITAL. other wise a bill pedal!
