Ease of Use : 10
The simplest delay pedal I've ever come in contact with, and it can be fun to use the knobs to change the delay speed (and pitch) while the sound is being delayed.

Sound Quality : 9
Very basic delay. It's not a loop station, it's a delay pedal. It doesn't have some of the features the Boss pedals do, but if you're looking for an echo effect, this will do. Some may not like the fact it doesn't do "infinite" delays, but this pedal is all about being subtle.

Reliability : No Opinion
I traded mine for an Ibanez CS 5 chorus after a couple years, but last I heard, it was working fine. My experience with 5 series Soundtanks has been ok to grim. The construction in general leaves a bit to be desired. Plastic casing, knobs mounted to the board, but there's a reason these things were priced the way they were.

Overall Rating : 7
This makes a good simple echo effect, but nothing more. If you want something spacier, then look elsewhere. It's worth what I paid for it.

Its really easy, just cranked all 3 knobs to max and start looking for your sound from there. Its my first delay unit and found my sound in no time.

Sound Quality : 8
Bought it 2nd hand. The owner has 2 delay units for resale. The other one is a BOSS analog delay. The latter is supposedly better than the ibanez but wouldnt work when i tried it. Have no choice but to get the ibanez and still it sounded great. Tried comparing it to a BOSS Digital delay, but this one is warmer sounding, and sounds thicker. Cant produce a long delay though

Reliability : No Opinion
It's plastic, but who cares. I own other effects made of plastic (arion rocktek). Effects seldom breaks from the outside, but from the inside - the electronic parts. I'll be using it for the first time in a few weeks.Cant afford another effect for a backup though.

Customer Support : No Opinion
havent deal with them

I'm in a band that plays everything except rap. You can't get better in playing guitar with rap music. It works great but if you want that Steve Vai thing, find another pedal (would cost u more). Ive spend a lot of money trying to get a good distortion sound by adding more distortion pedals and ended up sounding like never mind. You want a good distortion sound? Add a delay pedal at the tip of the chain ( last pedal going to the amp).

Very easy to use just read what each knob does and its pretty self explainitory(like my spelling???Huked on Foniks werked four mee)

Sound Quality : 3
I'm not sure hat to rate this as.When I first got it 3yrs ago it seemed to have a very nice delay sound, full, sounded like a quality unit. But after a number of gigs it didn't sound good anymore very thin and use batteries like they were goin out of style.Evan freinds of mine said they thought it sounded better when I first got it.As of last night I plugged it in at band practice and it was very weak and changed the tone of my guitar drastically when not in use, although the battery was not new I don't think it was that old,but anyway I got pissed and gave it to the other guitar player. It was along time ago that I got it but I don't remember hearing any deterioration it just seemed I couldn't get it to sound good anymore.

Reliability : No Opinion
Again not sure.Dunno if mine hada problem or it just sounded bad of the bat and I didn't realize it.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 3
Over all it was cheap plastic pedal evan if it sounded good I can't see it lasting a lifetime of gigs or evan seeing the end of a tour.

I love this thing. I use an Epiphone Les Paul and Peavey Ultratube 112 amp. Sounds great.

Reliability : 9
Very reliable. No problems.

Ibanez has good CS. I know this from experience but never had a problem with this unit.

Overall Rating : 9
Very nice time-delay. I won't be getting rid of mine. If someone stole it, I would catch them and sell their organs to buy another one. I'm not one to give good reviews unless I really mean it. This, I like.

As easy as delay pedals get

Sound Quality : 10
I play a 1973 les paul sig, through a custom made volume and wah, original TS-9 tubscreamer and this cheap delay pedal into a 65' Twin reissue. I love the sound of this thing. Great delay without being overbaring on your articulation. I've played all types of expensive delay pedals and this is my favorite. This was my first delay pedal and I haven't been able to match the vibe this thing gives. It does produce a little amount of but in live situations, the hiss is not even a factor. People always want to see what kind of delay I'm using and they are blown away when they see the cheapo soundtank on my board. It Sounds soooooo sweet.

Reliability : 6
Made cheap but I've played through the same one for 7 years and it works flawlessly. If it broke, I'd gather up some change from my couch and get another in a heart beat.

I think this is an incredible sounding delay. Warm, ambient, mellow! Not like harsh digitals. Always captivates me when I play, not like Guytone micro digital or Boss dd-3 or dd-5. Those pedals always annoyed me. This piece of crap ROCKS!!

3 knobs that alter the sound. Easy to find a sound you want after playing around with it for a while. Its got a good range from light "reverby" sound to heavy "spacy" delay.

Sound Quality : 9
Puts out a good delay. I use it with a crate 1x12 and dont have any unneccesary noise problems with it. I rely alot on this pedal for different stuff such as creating kinda "weird" sounds. For a reletively cheap pedal, it sounds really good.

Reliability : 10
I've never had a prob with any of my sound tank pedals (i have 3 all bought used). They handled road abuse and still held up fine.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with.

Great pedal. Highly recommend for beginner to intermediete players looking for a cool delay sound.

It is not difficult to use this pedal if you have a good idea of how a delay pedal works. It is very versatile because of its precision trimmers: if the trimmer says 10 IT IS TEN ms delay!!!

Sound Quality : 6
I use it with a Gibson Les Paul Standard and a Laney VC100 combo and it sounds noisy (I bought it used so I don't know if the mess has been done by others, anyway it sucks!). That hummmmm over your silence sometimes gets me out of my tree and I do have to turn it off or unplug it! F(/&%k! It would be perfect without that hum.
I was looking for an extreme feedback of the delay signal but the only thing I've found was about 12/13 secs of good (not too noisy, cause the more the feedback lasts the more noise you hear, damn!) sound. It sucks cos with other cheaper delays I got it!

Reliability : 6
No, cos of its f/&%$ing noise!
No I always use another delay and add this pedal only for special parts where noise can not be heard (max distortion) or when I need a dirty sound (it's his speciality....)

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with.....

Overall Rating : 7
I play pop music (beatles to supergrass) and I've been playing since I was 9 (now I'm 21). No I wouldn't buy it if it was stolen I would buy something cheaper and less noisy.
I appreciated all the knobs on it, very simple and reliable they work properly on sound! I wish it was shielded!
Anyway very powerful tool to shape ya music.

Harder than most most pedals to get used to, but then it does so muchmore so comparisons with some easier-to-use pedals is a little unfair. Best advise if you're buying it brand new from a shop is to fleece the assistant for as much info about the pedal as possible; don't be afraid to try it out for as long as possible. Alternatively try to find someone who's already comeptent with the pedal. Its's easy to get great sounds out of this pedal, harder to get that specific sound you might be looking for. If, like me, you've never used a digital delay before, it'll probably take you several weeks to really start learning how to use this baby to its full potential. But isn't that half the fun of buying new gear? Along side a decent distortion pedal this is probably the next most important pedal in your armoury.

Sound Quality : 10
Great. Buy it yourself and see. Currently use it through a puny 10 watt Marshall amp and it still churns out great sounds. With a decent amp it should be awesome. I bought this baby mainly to copy the sounds of guitarists like the Edge and Hank Marvin. But the more you use it the more you'll notice how much other guitarists use these kind of effects.

Reliability : 9
The only drawback is that this baby might eat up batteries. I use it through a mains adaptor - and would probably avoid relying on just battery unless I had no coice.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 9
This baby's expensive. It cost more than three of my other pedals put together. So the only thing I would say is ask yourself do you want to pay that kind of money for just one pedal. I saw a DD3 the other day for about #100, #70 cheaper than the DD5. Do you really need it that badly? Only you can answer that question. If money's an obstacle then shop/look around before parting with your cash. This baby won't just help you make great music - it's a great instrument in it's own right. The only reason I haven't given it a 10 is that I haven't tried out other digital delay units - so I've got nothing to compare it to.

Pretty easy to use. Four knobs (d.level, d.time, mode and feedback) Just play with it for a few hours and it will have no secrets for you anymore.

Sound Quality : 10
Sounds are very good. This is my first Delay unit I have ever bought, but I think it can compete with the best. Especially on the longer delay settings.

Reliability : 10
I never had any problems with it except for batteries. When I bought it, I put in a brand new battery, and after playing it for 20 minutes it was empty! You definitely need an adapter.

Don't know

Overall Rating : 10
I use it a lot. I'd certainly buy one again, altough I can't say if it would be this type again, since I never compared it with others.
