Ease of Use : 9
This overdrive is pretty easy to operate. It doesn't require a 4 year degree to operate. The manuel that came with it is minimum but all that is needed.

Sound Quality : 9
I use a 1964 Fender Strat. It goes from there to my pedal board (which changes every weeek.)Board starts with Teese R3 wah,Digitec WH1,Way Huge Green Rino, Ts 808 reissue,TC Electronic Chorus, Flanger, Ring Mod., to an Ibanez AD-80. Than I plug into an Allen Class Act amp(EL34 7 watts plugged into low gain.) that plugs into A Celestion Vintage 30, 12 inch speaker. This speaker is in an isolation cabinet that I built.Dimentions are about 18x20x30 inches. The isolation cabinet has a shure microphone mounted inside the cabinet on a goose neck so I can point it in any direction towards the speaker I want. Then the isolation cabinet plugs into a JBL Eon 15 powered moniter that I can raise and lower the volume to any volume that I want. You may ask Why do I go to all this trouble. I'll tell you. I play at home alot and I play out side of my home alot. With this setup I can get a good tone with the Class Act amp and run any stage volume I want so as to blend in with whomever I am playing with. I never have to compromise my sound or tone because I am not loud enough or to loud for the room. It gives me the versitillity I need.

Sorry for the long bit about my setup.

I can compare this pedal aganist a TS9 modded by Analog Mike, A vintage Maxon D+S II, a way huge Green Rino,Chandler Tube Driver, And a few others. The Green Rino and the TS 808 reissue are my two top picks. My favorite artist is myself but I also like SRV, Hendrix, Eric Johnson,Eric Clapton, and the list goes on and on.
The TS 808 sounds great and just a little different than the Green Rino. I would say the TS 808 is a little tighter sounding overall.

Reliability : No Opinion
I have only owned this pedal for a couple of weeks so I can not really give a qualified awnswer to this question. But if it is a typical Ibanez product it should last a long time.
I would use this at a gig without a backup but... I always have my Green Rino for backup because it is always on my pedal board right along side my Ts 808.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I have never purchased anything new from this company before. This is the first new product I have purchased so I don't have an opinion on this matter. Yet!!

Overall Rating : 9
I play rhythm and blues. I started playing when I was 15 and quite when I was 22. I am 49 now and restarted playing 9 years ago. I quess I got about 15 or 16 years of playing under my belt.
If I lost my TS 808 I would try hard to replace it. I love the way it enhances the tone and adds that extra growell and boost to my amplified sound.
I leave this effect on all the time when I play. For a good rhythm sound I just back off of the volume controll of the guitar and it takes out some of the distortion and sounds great.
