This review is for the Indyguitarist hi-cut mod. (DD-3-DD-5). I ordered a mod kit from www.guitartone.com and got the instructions e-mailed to me. I ordered the parts from Banzai Effects.
The mod is easy to do. I am a complete beginner when it comes to soldering and electronics and I did it in a quarter of an hour.

I started out with a .22 cap and really liked the sound. Subtle, soft and thick. I then tried a .47 cap just to see what the difference was and i settled for the .47 one.
The delay is sweet, thick and very musical to my ears. If you're going for U" stuff maybe you should keep things as clear as you can get them but personally I'm looking for a more "old school" sound so this "fake analog" thing works for me.
You can keep the effects level pretty high without the delays messing up the sound.
It sort of gives you a really great bakground ambience wich IMO is absolutely great for those Chris Isaak moments.

My pedal is like 20 years old or something and it holds up fine.
My own soldering might be an issue but I'm not worried.
