Ease of Use : 9
Pretty easy to use. Not much different from a stock MT-2, but not as easy to use as, say, a DS-1 or SD-1.

Sound Quality : 9
'89 American Standard Stratocaster, rosewood fingerboard, blocked trem, DiMarzio Fast Track 1's in all positions. I've played this pedal mostly through a Peavey Studio Pro 65. Haven't tried it through my Boogie gear yet.

Reliability : 10
I'm the one that did the mod, so I'd have no one else to blame. I've done a bunch of mods over the past couple of years for my own gear and that of friends, so I'm pretty confident that it will be dependable. I'd gig it without a backup, even though I have 2 of these.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I haven't had to deal with Brian, but from all that I have heard, he's very conscientious and helpful. I did the mod myself, and since it's pretty easy, I didn't have any need for support.

Overall Rating : 10
I did the Dieznerr mod on this pedal after purchasing the effects modding book from Indyguitarist. I play mostly blues, r&b, old school rock 'n' roll, and this pedal is a good match for all of these styles and more. Initially, I got into modded pedals with the idea of carrying one so that I'd always have a tone that I could live with, no matter what kind of gear I was plugged into. This one gives an excellent hi-gain distortion and somewhat of a Boogie-flavored tone. I like this pedal with the Dieznerr mod; without the mod, it's pretty run-of-the-mill.
I like to have more than one of the things I like... I have two of these...

Much easier than a plain vanilla Metalzone. Editing is easy, it's only knobs.

Sound Quality : 10
This is the Bogner/Diezel mod, and it has done exactly what I wanted. The shrill top end and nasal mid frequencies are gone: in their place is a much juicier, wider midrange and low end thump. I was able to A/B this: Jackson Professional-stock MT2-modded MT2-TSL100, and the difference was demonstrably a vast improvement, no loss of tone or volume, no hiss when off. I'll probably keep this pedal now.

Reliability : 10
This pedal was in the case with my first guitar. It's a Boss, and nearly 20 years old when it came to me. If the mods fail I can solder. As for backup, I'm building the OLC Slow Century for a different flavour of distortion.

Customer Support : 10
Brian has been very helpful when I had any questions.

Overall Rating : 9
If I lost this I'd be hacked off, mainly because I've put some effort into making a nasty sounding distortion sound good. Then I'd buy another off Ebay cheap and do it again.
