Ease of Use : 10
I bought the DIY kit and did it myself. I had a pro electronic guy to solder the components for me, so that the mod is done best.

Sound Quality : 1
It's a hopeless pedal. Without the mod, I'd rate this pedal as -10 (Minus 10) and after mod I'd rate it as -9.5 (Minus 9.5). This is a screwed up pedal and no mod can save it. This mod didn't do anything noticeable except it increased the bass response slightly. Hopeless pedal modded or unmodded.

Reliability : 10
Would I take this Shit on stage. I must be out of my mind to do this. Anyway the pedal is solid. It's built like a tank and load with shit.

Responds well.

This is the only mod I tried and I decided not to mod anymore. I'd rather get some good Boutique Pedals than experimenting. I dont have much money to waste.
If it were stolen, I'd go and hide somewhere 'cos the thief might come back and thrash me for letting him steal this piece of shit.

This is a great pedal to use because of its ease of having two knobs. It is a no-brainer at all.

Sound Quality : 10
As for my set-up, the output knob is turned a quarter away from the lowest setting. The drive is tuned all the way up. The hum of the amp comes on if I don't touch the strings when I'm not playing. I also use a dunlop crybaby wah 335q and supplemented with an MXR six band eq. These three pedals are plugged into marshalls valvestate tube combo and fender tube amps. Playing with tubes surely make this pedal a killer!

Reliability : 10

Customer Support : No Opinion

I play lead guitar on this nyc hard rock band. Using this pedal surely created a tonal difference when I used to own the boss mt-2. I traded the mt-2 for d+ because of it lacked the brightness the I was looking for

Very easy to get a good sound out of it. It only has two knobs (Output and Distortion), and it's dumb-easy to figure it all out.

I play an American Tele through several pedals. Vox TB Wah>Marshall ED-1>Keeley BD-2>Fulltone Fulldrive2>Indyguitarist MXR D+>Line 6 MM4>Danelectro Dan-Echo. I play some mild to moderate rock but wanted something that could offer high-gain when I really really wanted it. The BD-2 and FD2 work fantastic for my overdrive needs, but I was really looking for a quality distortion box. The stock D+ is more of a fuzz pedal that ventures into true distortion sounds, but I wanted more bass, more volume and more gritty distortion. I must say I'm really pleased! LOTS of bass response! That alone is fantastic! There's more gain, and it's less fuzz and more distortion now. It's not quite what I was hoping it'd end up like, but Brian informed me that the pedal is wired as a fuzz pedal circuit. Getting better distortion would require very extensive re-wiring which isn't worth it to me. I left a review for him yesterday and was very pleased with it, but am actually MORE pleased today. I think this just MAY be the pedal I'm looking for. Very unlikely that I'll be replacing it.

I didn't notice a huge increase in the volume of the pedal, but enough that I'm content and pleased with it.

All-in-all, I'm very very pleased with it. By itself, the pedal isn't anything amazing, but combined with one of my other two drive pedals, it's a fire-breathing dragon! Simply awesome! I'm liking more and more each time I play on it!

I'll give it a full 10 because I think he's done a miracle with this pedal. Stock, it's a good pedal. Indyguitarist modded, it's awesome! I doubt that anybody could do much more with the pedal.

I wasn't expecting him to make an apple an orange and so even though it might not be THE PERFECT distortion that I was hoping for, he's made this pedal sound fantastic with the limitations of the circuit!

MXR's have been around for decades and have proven themselves time and again. Brian has done many many mods and I have no reason to think it'll be breaking down in the near future at all.

Customer Support : 10
Brian has had absolutely amazing communication with me with my seemingly unlimited questions. He's always been prompt on his replies and has answered each and every question I had. I had originally requested an LED to be installed on the pedal (amber substituting for the stock red LED) and he let me know that he wouldn't be able to because some of the contacts or pads or whatever they're called were starting to come apart from the circuit board. He promptly refunded my money as well.

Great customer support prior to the mod and I have no reason to expect otherwise after the mod.

I play lead rhythm guitar and lead vocally in my church's praise and worship band. Not your typical cheezy-fied Christian stuff of days of yore at all. Some hard rockin' stuff from Chris Tomlin, David Crowder, etc. I like flexibility in my guitar tones and don't want to settle for poor tonal quality. I don't consider myself the greatest guitar player in the world, but still value tone. Brian Wamper did a fantastic job with the mod and this pedal will really complement my other pedals to give me some great tonal options.

If it were lost/stolen, would I replace it? Maybe, maybe not. My pedal setup is constantly changing and if I suddenly was without it, I'd honestly probably try out a different pedal. Maybe a Rat or Expandora. THEN I'd send it to Brian and have him work his magic on it.
