Use this with a pod 2 for recording and a roland cube 60, very quiet pedal, quitest overdrive i have ever heard.

Reliability : 10
Built like a tank, doesnt use batterys, have to use a power suppy, only gripe really

Customer Support : 10
Bought the pedal used on ebay, wasnt sure what power supply to use with it, so i emailed brian wampler (the main man at indyguitarist) and got great help, very friendly and superb support, i wish other manufacturers where this good with the customers.
Here is a link to my myspace page, a video of the pedal is on there

I play rock, bit of blues and some instrumental music, been playing 25 years, but just play at home now, been through the simulater stuff(still have the pod) but analogue stuff still sounds great, tried it through a fender twin, cranked and this pedal blew me away, it really does give you that old marshall plexi sound, well, close enough for me

It's a distortion pedal, fairly self explanatory.

Sound Quality : 10
This is my first HC review ever, I'm 32 been playing 15+ yrs.
Brian makes some killer pedals, he's a true and original designer.
The Plaxidrive replaced my OCDv3 which was one of the pedals I've had the longest. Many od boxes have come and gone but I stuck by the OCD. It's now gone. Enough said. Get a Plexidrive or Pinnacle or Plextortion or Ecstacy Drive. Heck, get them all!!

Reliability : 10
100% handbuilt. What could go wrong?

Customer Support : 10
Communicates very well, open and honest. Timely responses.

No manual or recommended settings, but, did'nt need any!
Really easy to get a great soundat any position after 12 o'clock on the gain and with the tone turned down.

Sound Quality : 9
I am not trying to get my fave guitarist sound, as you all know out there, you're chasing rainbows!! You get your own sound..like it or not! i am using a custom strat with hot alnico 60's pickups into a custom wah/BB soulvibe/ monte allum modded blues driver, artec fuzztown/ plexidrive/ analogue delay/ marshall re-issue JTM45/into a 2x12 vintage celestion cab/split into a Marshall re-issue 1987x 50 watt head int a vintage 4x12 greenback cab.

Reliability : No Opinion
don't know as yet, Opened it up and it seems very neat and tidy. Fited to my pedal board, so I can't see any probs.

I play in the uks top tribute to Jimi Hendrix "Are you experienced? www.areyou-experienced.co.uk i bought this pedal to obtain the thick poweramp overdrive that I am unable to obtain from my amps due to the venues not being too happy about excessive volume!!!! So i hope to keep myself and the soundmen/Theatre managers happy

This baby cooks, i had been looking for a drive pedal for a long time to suit my tonal needs and low and behold, Mr Brian Wampler from Indyguitarist had come up with the plexi drive which basically is a analog pedal that makes any amp sound like a cranked up 60's JTM 45. Since JTM 45's are the holy grail and unless youve won the pools, this pedal is for you!! Its simple to use with just a stompswitch gain/tone/volume control.

Sound Quality : 10
Visit the indy guitarist website and checkout the sounds clips. Beano tone, kossoff, page, you get the vibe. It works with any FX chain And sounds a peach with my 1970 335 going through a mod'd crybaby then through the plexidrive then another plexidrive for solo boost, a surf turf dano tremelo and a 79 boss dm1 delay. The amp im using and lucky enough to own is a 66 JTM 45 going through a marshall 1968 8x10" cab and the sounds is to die for!!

Reliability : 10
Its a fully reliable pedal which is built very well.

good friendly comms and on the ball.

Excellent for blues and rock and i would rate it as the best pedal ive owned after being a pro axeman for 20 years. Other gear ive got is a 69-70 marshall 4x12", 73 les paul deluxe, 71 SG standard, 72 SG200, 59 Levin goliath, 70 335.
