Easy to use , 4 nobs and a footswitch, 4 modes,drive,level, and tone.
The Ibanez TS 9 DX Turbo Tube Screamer is a wonderful 4 stage Overdrive. Mode 1, is a Ts 9, Mode 2, is a little more stronger.
Mode 3, is hot, Mode 4 is turbo that is louder and crunchier.
So it has a wide range of overdrive.

The original unmodded TS 9DX is a good pedal to begin with.
The Indyguitarist Mod makes it a much better pedal. Great improvement in the overall quality of sound. Warmer in tone but still has a more intense edge. Works well with solid state or tube amps.
You can use the pedal at quiet levels and it sounds good. At louder volumes it opens up and unleashes the monster and reveals the great voice of the pedal and guitar . This is not your grandma's tube screamers. This a serious powerhouse of intensity.
This a jacked up overdrive that has a much better sound than the original. It can really push the amp and give a huge full sound.
Works well with Single Coils or Humbuckers. More tube like tonal sound than the original Turbo Tube Screamer.
Good for both chords and leads. A killer pedal.

This pedal has good versatility due it's 4 modes , tone control range
and it's drive control. It's distortion level stays true to what is expected in an overdrive, which is like tube breakup with a lot of punch. The modded version gets a 10 . A good choice for Rock,Blues ,
Power Rock, Blues Rock, Southern or Swamp Rock.
A very fine pedal.
