Mine is an old handmade Mercer Box from Jacques. Bought it used so it came without manual. It took a while for me to understand what Love and Hate switches meant. Those are really sensitive in cooperation with Fuz switch.

Sound Quality : 10
10! - I have tried Hartman Fuzzes with AC128 germanium transistors (same uses Jacques)and those fuzzes are great. And I have tried Analogman with NKT-275 which I found o. k. but a little too mainstream sounding. And i tried some Fulltone 69s which I think are way overestimated and sounded pretty plastic to me. As I mentioned Hartman Fuzzes come closest to Jacques handmade Mercer Box and this means a lot. Because the handmade Mercer Box is the most alive sounding fuzz I have ever heard. This fuzz box gives unbelievable warmth and punch to your sound. I know each company says this for its product, but eyh, I do not care about it. In my ears this fuzz is way the best damned fuzz I have ever heard and played out there.

Reliability : No Opinion
As a matter of fact mine looks like got broken yesterday. But it still works.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I do not know if Jacques would go into any repair situation. As far as I know he is a guy in France who does not build any of these boxes anymore.

Overall Rating : No Opinion
I wish this box would have a pot/switch that would say either bass or treble. But instead it says Love/Hate which certainly is not the same and does not sound same as bass/treble. This is what I love and hate about this pedal. To make it clear: simply the best fuzz box in my opinion. And I had and have chance to compare it with many others.

True Bypass. 4 Knobs. Hate, Fuz, Love, Volume. Seems easy. But it is complicated. Because there are so many different sounds in this box just by moving one knob just a little. The manual gives 5 positions as an advice at least. You have to spend quite some time to find out how the knobs interact.

Sound Quality : 10
I have a very, very early handmade mercer box from Jacques. Never even compare these handmade pedals with those serial made Mercer II pedals. Don't know why Jacques went that way. Do those really sell? Anyway, this handmade Mercer box is a class of it's own. I owned many fuzz pedals. Fulltone 69, Analogman SunDial and several Roger Mayers.
This Fuzz is the best. Maybe I was just lucky with the Germanium transistors. This is the whole story. I would never give 10 points if it did not blow me away every day. This is 10 points!

Reliability : No Opinion
Time will tell.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never contacted Mister Jacques. So I cannot tell.

Overall Rating : 10
This fuzz sounds so unbelievable good, that I - believe or not - intend to build a box around the box just to keep it save. I tour a lot so I have to take care of it.
Best Fuzz Face - Jacques Mercer handmade. I would not go into any discussion about this at all.

Compared to other fuzz or distortion boxes from the premier league in sound like Fulltone, Keeley, Analogman etc. this one is pretty hard to handle. It is not easy at all to ?understand? how the knobs on the pedal work together in conjunction. The manual gives a few sound suggestions and settings but does not really explain anything. So you have to use your ears and find out how it functions. You have the four knobs ?hate?, ?fuz?, ?love? and volume. It would take pages to describe how sound changes even if you change any of these knobs just a little bit. Especially the ?fuz? and ?hate? knob have within their last quarter of range unbelievable many colours in sound in conjunction with each other. Sometimes I think not only by moving them but already just by looking at them. This is how sensitive they are. I have never found this sensitivity and also so many shades in sound with any other fuzz or distortion pedal.
Anyways. This box is no easy box but very alive. It is unbelievable but you wake up the next morning and it appears that the sound has changed though you turned no knobs the whole night. This box is a very electric woman! It is definitely not easy to handle. True bypass! It works only with a battery which is o. k. because best sound for fuzzes always comes with a zinc-carbon battery. There is no led which is also pure 69 and Woodstock but in my opinion a little bit too pure. So all in all for the ease of use I would give it only a 7. But now the sound ??..!!!!!!

Sound Quality : 10
This is 11!!!! I find that this pedal affects other pedals a lot. So maybe you have to change the order of your pedals quite a few times before you find the right place for it. It also depends on what you use it for. Because you can use this pedal as a fuzz which then is unbelievable close to James Marshall Hendrix Sound in Woodstock. This is truly that strat-fuzzface-marshall-explosion also because there are those magic old and very rare germanium transistors that Jacques uses for these boxes. Or you can use the Mercer just as a plexifier which means you can make any other distortion or overdrive pedal on your board sound like it is going to a fully cranked plexi. Really this sound is great. Or you can use it as a very clean still very warm sounding effect which is rather hard to describe.
My setting is: Strat ? Teese Wah ? KeeleyComp ? Wercer-Box (yes, I have another handbuilt but this time called Wercer-Box!!! from Jacques) ? Fulltone Vibe ? Fulltone Octave ? Mercer-Box ? Fulltone FD 2 ? Fulltone SupaTrem ? Marshall.
I have never played with a better and more alive fuzz pedal than the hand built Mercer (maybe except for the Wercer-Box from Jacques but which is another story and review!). By the way: the Mercer sounds a whole galaxy better than on the sound clips you find on Jacques? website. Sorry for this but who ever demonstrates the Mercer-box on Jacques Website ? it is demonstrated way under value!!!!

Reliability : 10
I own this pedal now for 6 months. The original battery still works perfect and I step on the pedal almost every day and night. No complaints at all.

Customer Support : 10
Jacques is a very friendly, humorous and seriously helpful person. He definitely answers e-mails if you have a serious concern.

Overall Rating : 10
When it comes to Hendrix and his disciples the mercer is simply the best fuzz pedal I ever stepped on and I have been stepping on many. The handmade Mercer is not easy to find in a store. Good luck, ha!

This little pedal has a lot of tones, so you will need some time to find them all ( there are many!) and to set up the ones right for you and your style.
However, everything from gorgeous clean boost ( listen to it with your guitar vol backed off then bypass the effect !!) to out of this world Hyper fuzz is available in buckets !.

Sound Quality : 10
I just have to give Jacques a 10 for this baby, very warm and pristine clean boost, some noise at higher fuzz/gain settings- as always but also fat and full overdrive available.
Oldish Jap '62 reissue strat ( 1994 i think ) into JMP-1 tube preamp, every tone you could want is here with some carefull "tweeking" top drawer quality !

Reliability : 9
Too early to tell, but its a solid metal box and built like a tank so . . . . . .
Backups or options on a gig/session always make sense.
Has a three year "no questions" guarantee.

Customer Support : 10
Jacques is a fine man who will answer your queries very quickly and also gives some great poetic and eccentric tips on using his pedals, they are his "children" ! and this one s his personnal first choice.
Also anyone who loved "sean young" in "Bladerunner" has to be v-cool !!
Check out the Mercer box story on www.ts808.com

Overall Rating : 10
I like to give credit where credit is due, and with the mercer box II ( and all of jacques pedals) it most cetainly is due!.
Try all the other expensive "boutique" nightmares you've heard of. then come back to this and tell me its NOT one of the best !! from full blown fuzz hell, to crisp clean heaven, its all here for 150 bucks BARGAIN so get two !!

The unit I am reviewing is actually called the 'Wercer' Box. It is a noteworthy version of the prominent "Mercer Box" stomp box, but the main difference lies in the utilization of the Valvo OC76 transistor instead of the AC128 transistor.

The 'Wercer' Box can only be ordered at Jacques website unlike his other stompboxes which those can be bought at identifiable vendors. The Wercer Box has three knobs (Hate, Wuzz[not a typo] and Love) and a footswitch in which all of the previously mentioned controls functions the same way as compared to the Mercer Box. It will take me a page or more to explain how the controls interact with other, the guitar's volume knob or other effects running in conjunction. So I won't bother to go into details. But, I will clue you in that with every tweak, you can get a splendid array of substantial tones through the ?Wercer? box. And I agree with the reviewers below about being able to employ the guitars volume pot as a fifth control knob. The documentation that comes with it, for the most part, gives suggestions of different control settings and an introduction of what the knobs? main functions are.

Sound Quality : 10
I checked out an assortment of guitars running through the Wercer Box. Each guitar either had a humbucker(Warmoth), minibucker(Gibson SG), single coil(G&L), and a P90(G&L) style pickup. The unit sounded even and consistent with each guitar or vice versa.
To a great extent, the Wercer Box gives a solid impact on what a first-rate overdrive box should do. The overdrive and fuzz tones are impressive un-accompanied by any other effects in the chain. Chunky and Deep is to describe the chordal tone and Creamy for the solo sound However, this unit does create room for nobler tones via running amid other devices or with the overdrive coming from an amp itself. With that in mind, the terms ?fat? and ?heavy? does come to mind with it not being so over-the-top.
Wow.

Reliability : 10
The Wercer Box is housed is in a 1/8 gauge metal enclosure; same material that made up those old computer frames. It is strong and sturdy and built to last. As for the electronics and the switches, there hasn?t been a problem.

Customer Support : 10
For those who need a piece of mind, Jacques did e-mail me quickly and accurately pertaining to any questions that I had about the unit or any other units for that matter. Even though he resides in France, he can communicate fluently in the English language.

Overall Rating : 9
The Wercer Box is exactly what I needed in my line up. It does the trick superbly when overdrive, fuzz or even a clean sound crunch is concerned. I like how it handles ?plexing? other pedals in the signal chain and/or with the overdrive coming through the (tube)amp. It is a top-rate footswitch and worth the bucks for people who are looking to invest in some sort of boutique stomp box. This puppy is also quiet. I am giving a overall score a "9" because the unit runs only a nine volt battery and has no place you can plug in a power supply to. Also, a L.E.D would be nice so that I know it is on when not in use.

....One more review/update from previous review

Sound Quality : 10
Play into Class A amps. Using an effects chain - SG or vintage Strat. I posted a couple of reviews below. Mostly using this box as an overdrive/boost plexi simulator which cleaned up the sound and gave a vintage vibe. - This review is regarding the FUZZ as the main usage. I am posting another reivew mainly to "make up" for some complaints of previous reviews. After further consideration and over a year of usage I decided to use this box for some of the other elements....Fuzz! Ocatave divider. And the boxx really is one of the best most vintage sounding Fuzzes I have ever heard. I tend to be a stomp box junkie so I feel this is a very acurate assessment. As the below writer mentioned it acts slightly as a gate - but it is all anolog using genuine ac128 germanium transistors - It sounds is you get the same box roger mayer built for Jimi. As well ac128 NOS germanium Transisters are becoming extinct. Due to the fact that they were all made in the 60's and 70's. After a great deal of research I found that vintage components generally sound better due to the chemicals that were used in the process of making them. These same chemicals are no longer available due to Goverment standards. Every Plant was shut down due to polution etc. So RARE indeed are vintage components. But the result in yesteryear was a much more durable quiality components. The goverments first introduced such chemicals for it's own machines. After years of commercial use they were deemed not to be envirmentally safe. Well enough history. If you need a versital and strong fuzz pedal - Check this one out. If anything it will be a collectors item.

This pedal is outstanding in the area of fuzz, octave and as a boost it does give off a slightly robust plexi -vibe. It can make a cheap amp sound incredible. And a great amp over the top. I also own the fuse blower. They are both really reliable and have great tone. It is a wonderful thing to be able to get a vintage pedal that is brand new and hand made.

4 knobs: volume, fuzz, love, and hate. The first is obvious, the second is standard. The other two are pretty nebulous but they definitely work. Takes some experimenting but it's worth it. Hate seems to be the more low-end/octave side of fuzz, while the Love piles on top. Play with it! -also see Jacques at ts808.com for some very helpful desciptions and audio samples.

Sound Quality : 10
Les Paul, Strat, and Gretsch Sparkle Jet into a Peavey Classic 212 tube amp. Sounds great with each, and different with each, like any good fuzz should. Very low noise, actually seems like it's got it's own noise gate (but it's pure analog). Wide range of textures. I use it with my amp distortion nearly all the time, and they blend very well. You can do a lot with your guitar's volume knob, too.

Reliability : 9
Have had no problems with it. Sturdy metal case, but light.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never wrote in, but it seems like Jacque would be helpful.

Overall Rating : 10
I play loud guitar rock, mostly. I shy away from categories, but I was looking for a box that would get me from Jimi to the Stooges to now, with room for all kinds of other flavors. The mercer box does not disappoint. Anybody who invokes the spirit of Hendrix and the mind of Philip K. Dick when designing his pedals is okay by me.

After a solid year of use I notice my wah pedal forces this box to send a bit of unwanted break up to the amp on clean sounds. So it is hard to clean boost your signal and run a wah through it at the same time. I may have it in the wrong placement or I may need a buffer in between. I am not sure. but It is a bit more placement sensitive than I thought. If I place it at the end of the effects chain as Jaq says to for clean boost - It hushes my distortion into a breakup almost Completly uncompressed. Jaq if your reading these review I think an explanation of exact what this thing was built for would help in How I can use it. Anyway, Placement earlier in the effects chain gives my a nice clean boost and a nice distortion after the fact. However placement after the wah is not good. Before the wah tends to over drive my wah just a bit too much so I cannot get a clean sound out of it - but I like to have my sound slightly boosted as well. Well - The intent of use (clean boost for a brit acoustic quiality) may need to be readdressed but the sound saga continues.

Sound Quality : 9
I wrote a review below the guy with the Orange Strat. I now have an SG that I am working into my setup the Box seems to work well with Humbucklers as well as single coils. And after a year of use I have come to the determination that I love this box as a clean sound - un effected - actually if this is the only box you have for distortion and clean I think it would be a good decision to buy. It makes my other effects a little less predictable which throws me off sometimes or it takes away my sustain a little bit = cleaning up heavier sounds or making clean sounds a little more robust and sometimes dirty. I am going to re-rate from a 10 to a 9 just because this box is very musical, original and useful. It's combination with other sounds can wear you thin. As the controls read - Love and Hate, It is really exactly how I feel about this thing. I absolutely Love this thing because it give this Vintage vibe it adds to the mix, a mysterious voodoo. However I can hate it at the same time during certain interactions. Either it is taking a god awefully long time to master or it is like any other pedal an should be viewed as a true EFFECT. Rather than a pedal that should be engaged all the time. I may leave this in the chain if I pick up another preamp pedal.

Reliability : 8
I have 2 of his boxes - I noticed that when the battery looses half it's charge the stomp switch does not work properly. I believe the switches are solid - but this is more of a line voltage draw problem. Recall?!? I doubt it. His boxes have a great sound. Interesting and original use and the battery lasts a long while. The engage problem is not huge. If I give it a good stomp it does not seem to have a problem...So step a little hard the box can take it.

Customer Support : 10
Well I had a very strange problem with this pedal due to the "heat of a summer" and Playing in a hotter than hell attic. The box would have a break down of sound seemingly sound like a close to dead battery. Kind of neat but not very usefull. Anyway I emailed Jaq and after a little corresspondence he gave me his mailing address and I sent the box back. He corrected and updated a couple of resistors that were problematic and sent it back. Considering he is oversea's and a very busy guy I must say the customer support was A+. I got it back in about a week. Running great.

Overall Rating : 8
I play a sort of days of the new/alice in chains/Pearl Jam style for the most part - this can really include alot of other influences and alot of melodic tones. I sing as well which can really make stomping on boxes a bitch. They need to react exactly as I need them to so I don't need to worry about them. I've been playing now for about 17 years I have owned alot of pedals - The search keeps continuing.....and Maybe It is because I just love the journey. I am giving this an overall rating of 8 just due to the point that this is not for the every day musician. It can be used right out of the box for a guitarist who has a little room to play around, however if you need it to perform a function and not an effect it may not be for you. It is an extremely interesting piece of work and contains alot of sound variables for a pedal with 3 knobs. - But I am afraid the variables don't seem to ever stop - I enjoy how it reacts to clean things up but it's interation with my teese wah has not always been the greatest as well with 3 jumbo knobs they easily turn - I pulled the knob off the fuzz pot so that I would stop fucking with it. It seems to be a little more fussy than any other pedal I have ever played with - The fuss does pay off - but it is not real consistant musically. I would hate to part with it - and I would miss not having it, but at the same time I feel like tossing it aside. I think the Idea of this pedal has alot of thought put into it and is an extravagant design. What would I like to see - Jaq spends as much time as I did screwing with this pedal and designs a series of pedals that interact with it perfectly - namely a wah pedal a compressor and a synth type pedal. *****If anyone has any info on a good preamp pedal please email me.*****

Like everyone else said it does take a while to get the sound you want. Really there are 5 controls, not just the 4 on the pedal. You can mess around with the pot's on the pedal all you want, but, unlike a lot of newer pedals, your volume pot on your guitar can really change the fuzz you get out. The manual is nothing but the main info he has on his site and a sheet with 5 sample settings on it. Because it is difficult to find a certain sound on such a wide ranged pedal such as this it gets a not too high rating.

Sound Quality : 9
I am using a stock Fender Mexican Stratocaster into a Analogman ts9, then a small clone chorus (usually omitted from my pedal lineup), and then the Mercer Box into a homemade 10 watt tube amp; I usually use this amp to preamp a more powerful one. This box is a dream when using it into a tube amp. The only gripe i have about it is that none of the pots seem to change the sound until set around 3 o'clock or more. The love pot is supposed to be bass response, but i havent noticed any changes in bass response at all. When the love pot is around 3 o'clock, it adds a little fuzz. The fuzz knob is just like a fuzz knob on a fuzzface; no change from 8 o'clock till 3 o'clock but after 3 o'clock you can get some major fuzz. Hate seems like an input level pot of some sort. From about 2 o'clock to 4 o'clock you get a small preamp boots into the pedal. And finally, the volume knob has a huge effect on the output sound. With it up all the way it will overdrive your amp slightly and make a creamier fuzz like Hendrix's. Despite the small pot ranges you truely can get a wide range of awesome sounds from this pedal.

Reliability : 5
The case is extremely hard. The knobs are vintage bakelite so i would be nice to them for they could break easily. The input jack is plastic so i dont know how long it will hold up in the long run. And the pots are plastic! if i still have the pedal in about 10 years which i hope i will i wont care about the warranty then and ill open up the pedal and replace all the pots and the one jack. Im careful about stopming on my pedals, but someone who really stomps on them alot might want a backup. Id still have a backup incase i lost it though.

Customer Support : 10
Jacques emails you back in a day or two depending on where you live (time changes). He seems very inclined to help you with problems.

Overall Rating : 9
I play classic rock, blues, and maby a shade of alternative style. This pedal works wonders! I've had it for about 4 months now w/o any problems. If i were stolen or lost i would buy another because i couldnt play w/o this pedal; it has become a necessity. This beats the roger mayer classic fuzz, boss fz-3, regular ts9, and basically any of the fuzz face models because this is basically a fuzz face with a few modifications. I just wish it had metal pots though so i didn't have to void the warranty to replace them... It gets a 9 because nothing is perfect.

It take some time to find "your" sound, because this pedal give you many different sounds. But after one hour you know what to do to get
one of the different souns.

Sound Quality : 10
After buying this pedal, I plug it into a 1 Watt Honeytone Amp ( It was late in the evening ,so i can't use my Dual Showman )and the Sound knock me of my feets. Fantastic !! You can get a Fuzz Sound without any harshness, very musikal. If you wan't a distortion like Sound the Mercer Box can do this too. When i buy some other Pedals, I'm looking to change my Gain with the Guitar Volume Poti. But I found out that most Pedals cut the treble, so that i can't do this.
The Mercer Box did this absolutly Perfect. You can get a Hendrix like
Fuzz Tone with the Guitar Poti on ten, then turn it back to six and
you got a super crunch Sound, without cutting treble. It`very usabel
for change between riff and solo play. You can use the box for make your clean Sound thicker, but this option is for my taste a little to
midrange ( I like the typical Strat Clean Tone ). For some people it
can work. Change Battery is ver easy. The Box didn't use much energy,
so musn't change the Battery ver often.
I didn't write every Day such a positiv Review, but I can't write any other comments. I checked out the last years many Effects, exspecially Distortion boxes, but I didn't hear any Unit with such many super and different Sounds. I't sounds much better then on Jaques Webside.

I'ts build very Strong. The On/Off Switch is very near to the Hate Poti. If you Switch it, you must Stomp on it very exact.

Absolut perfect. I write to Jaquce a Mail, and he answer himself very fast.

I play Blues, Funk, Rock. This Box kick my Ts 9 Tubescreamer out of my Pedal Board. I can use it for Fuzz and Distortion Sounds and i can use the Guitar Vol. Poti. It's usabel for Jimi Octave Fuzz Sounds
to Crunch Blues Sounds. And that absolutly Musicaly, without harshness. I'ts made for the live playing Musician. Control your Sound with the Vol. Poti and just play on. I'ts the first Pedal I use on 95 % of my distortion playing. I use it with a Fender Strat and a Dual Showman Head. I buy it from Tone Toys in Germany. They got
fantastic Conditions ( Nothing to Pay for sending, Paying after !! get the Pedal with Bank )

With about 4 mos on this pedal I cam to the conclusion that Jaques tried to make this fool proof. Either use this pedal as the perfect clean boost - or for scortching leads or you can find a lighter plexi on fuzz somewhere in the middle. The nice thing about this pedal is no matter what it's use it is ver easy th "Regulate" your sound. I almost pulled this from my effects chain because I was using it for it's plexi sound and I play through an amp that sounds very close to a Plexi - but the thing is the tube breakup of my head was not very consistant with a nice clean to a distorted sound. This pedal can be overdriven and it actually "Acts" like a tube amp. This is like the marvel mystery oil of stompboxes and I think that's why it gets a bad rating. My argument here is that no matter what your setting and usage the quality is there. I am very enticed to check out more of Jaques' pedals.

Sound Quality : 10
I use an Orange strat with 57 Fender pickups or a gibson custom shop strat with seymour d's into a wah, boostpedal, and a wells amp pedal and a tom anderson big muff style pedal into a flanger, the Mercer and into a Sound City 120 custom built mark IV into a Mesa Rectifier 4x12 cab. The sound is incredible - I usually have the Mercer on about 95% of the Time - I am just starting to experiment for with it's lead values. This box almost acts as a anolog plexi simulator and again it can be overdriven and it is true bypass - Outstanding sound that is pretty timeless It can sound a little Jimi to more of a Mesa recifier sound. Huge spectrum oh and the feedback is very controllable. No need for a hush on my system. If you are searching for a boost pedal or a pedal for a unique lead tone this is a very interesting option. Check it out. This pedal shines with a tube amp creating a signiture sound, or it can make a 100 dollar solid state piece of shit amp sound like some vintage "oh this amp was owned by every great stone head lsd band from the 60's that why it is 2 grand" type amp. So get it and try to figure out the mysterious settings yourself.

Reliability : 10
Built like a tank and the battery compartment is easily accessable - Lifetime gaurantee as long as the seal is not broken.

At this point I NEED this pedal in my chain. I almost need to of these - one for clean and one for lead. It sounds great and there is a bit more to this pedal then meets the ear. I've been playing for about 15 years and went through numerous pedals some of which I sold the next day. this pedal is versital, unique and the sound is very clean - made for current times where noise is an issue and CD quality is what is needed for recording. This pedal is well made and it will never be lost - Stolen? I guess I would search for some idiot selling it on ebay or I would buy new.

The Mercer Box is an 'empathy fuzz pedal' for guitar ... it can create a powerfull fuzz sound or simply emulate a plexi sound like adding power at the end of a chain of pedals ... it is very relative how to use it ... the instructions are just a start to involve you in explore its possibilities ;)

Like the Fuse Blower it sounds GREAT. If u want an example take 'Whole Lotta Love' tone from the original Led Zeppelin record, or some of the best Jimi's live sounds, it works like the fuzz of your dreams ... you only need to take patience and learn how to use it correctly!

Reliability : 10
This is another box from my studio/live pedalboard, a part of my sound.

For a pedal with four knobs and one button, it is not as easy as it appears. Jacques' instruction sheet is fun to read but does not disclose the different tonal possibilities that this unit can generate. The good news it that it sounds very good in most settings.

Guitars are Fender Duo Sonics and Strats (some with humbuckers). Amp is a 1982 Fender Concert. I usually include other pedals in the effects loop and before the input, but the Mercer Box does best (for me) as the last pedal before the amp. Like Jacques' Fuse Blower, the Mercer gets pretty out of control with all knobs maxed. But at lower levels, this pedal has a fantastic tonality that is along the same lines as the Fuse Blower. With a fresh battery, the Mercer can do a tremendous clean boost. Not noisy at all at lower levels. When either the Fuz and Hate knobs are maxed, there is added noise - but there is also tons of distortion.

"Love" is like a type of tone control that adds bass as the level is increased.

"Fuz" is self explanitory. The taper on the fuz pot is gradual on low and extreme towards "10".

I'm still trying to figure out the "Hate" knob. When it's around 8.5-10, it adds alot of distortion.

"Vol" is self explanitory.

The Mercer works wonders when amplifying weaker pedals. That is why I use it last in the chain before the amp. Works great on bass also - has a super wide bandwidth and does not screw up the tonality of your guitar.

Reliability : 10
Seems to be of the same quality as the Fuse Blower. I did notice that one input jack was plastic. So far, I've realized that this pedal is more useful than the Fuse Blower. I prefer it over a TS808 for clean boost.

It does very well in live situations, also.

I haven't had any problems with either of Jacques' pedals. At first, I thought my Mercer had a bad jack on it, but it turned out to be the cable I was using. They never leave the front of my amp, whether at home, practice, or playing out.

Jacques is a true character in terms of personality, as evidenced by his emails and website.

I've been playing for 13 years; my style is rock based. Primary guitars are Fenders, amp is a 1982 Fender Concert. The features that I love are: tone (fantastic), durability (not like a brick but still very sturdy), and the fact that Mr. Charbit builds these all by himself. You can practically hear the pride and dedication in the circuit. It just sounds GREAT.
