Ease of Use

How easy is it to get a good sound out of it: Plug & play.
How is the manual: Adequate; offers basic operation, but it is a basic device.
Includes battery, bumper sticker and pick - a nice marketing touch.

Set-up: Rick 360/12 through 1964 Gibson Titan III. Also have a 1985 Peavey Stereo Chorus 400, but I cannot manage to get the Rick to sound good through it - with or without the Janglebox. Operates like any standard compressor with a 6-sting, but the Janglebox shines with the Ricky...which is its intended purpose.
Noise: Some high frequency oscillation at 2 o'clock or higher attack setting when using an external power supply. The wall wart (12v, 500ma, center +) may be the culprint - essentially noiseless on battery. A little bit of pot scratch in the attack control. These issues reduce the rating from 10 to 9.
Emulation: The Byrds in a box.
Sound Quality: As others have stated, the Janglebox is very transparent; essentially no tone coloration.

So far, so good. Appears rugged enough; not a hunk of plastic. Footswitch could be located further from the control knobs. As the Janglebox is "on" whenever I play the Ricky, control placement has not been a major issue.

Janglebox (www.janglebox.com) answered every e-mail within 1 day.
I ordered the unit on a Friday and received the following Monday.
It is the same or cheaper to order directly from Janglebox ($215 + $15 shipping) than via a dealer. In the rare instance when one appears on E-bay, the price plus the shipping approaches/is more than you would pay direct from the factory sans the warranty.

Music style: Beatles, Byrds, Herman's Hermits, Buddy Holly - yeah, I'm stuck in the 60's. The Janglebox enables you to capture the sound.
How long playing: On again/off again for 40 years - unfortunately, my playing doesn't reflect the time invested!
Would I purchse it gain iof lost/stolen: In a heartbeat.
Love/Hate/Favorite feature: Love the sound, hate nothing. Favorite feature: The "Bright" setting.
Compared it to Milk Box and Blackfindger and there was no comparison; it was the least noisy, the most transparent, captured the 60's jangle. The "bright" selection sealed the deal. Endorsment from RMG didn't hurt either.
