No bad sound in this pedal! I've ben playing for over 40 years. In the past decade, I've been playing mainly SRV tributes, check myspace: myspace.com/mikespivey. This pedal was advised to me as the "best" for SRV tone. It nails it friends! I've used ever TS type pedal there is and this one is most unique in its ability to "voice" SRV tone! Just needs a good strat and tube amp! Amazingly, it does not color your guitar or amp tone at all.

Always a good tone at both low and high volumes. Very even tone from low to high volume. Again, it nails SRV tone! Period! Hadmade by to great guys in Japan (they make high-end guitars), these guys knew what they were doing! I find that, for once, the "booteek" pedal lives up to its rep and is worth every penny. These pedals are not discussed much because there are only two distributors. I think the company in Japan only makes about five pedals per month. The pedal that is similar to the Fulltender is the BB preamp. But the Fulltender is much more natural sounding and richer in tone than the BB. You will be sold on this pedal within a few seconds of playing with it! What I like is the fact that it has two switches, one for edge and one for bottom. With both off, you get a great OD, just a bit less punch. With both switches engaged and you get that SRV tone easily, with that unmistakable tone in the 2nd position on the strat that SRV uses on tunes such as Little Wing and Tin Pan Alley! Most of my TS pedals get mudedy in the strat 2nd position, but this pedal nails SRV! Warm and pick sensitive in the trueist fashion. Cords sound wonderful!

I'm getting a second one just to have one in the future. Built like a tank--top craftmanship!

Have not used this as yet!

Again, I have been playing blues rock for over 40 years as a soloist. I have always wanted a better SRV tone, as I do a lot of SRV tribute tunes, listen at www.myspace.com/mikespivey (however, I am not using the jersey girl in the recordings!) This is the best one for me and it nails SRV tone! It is makiong me play with much confidence and I feel I can concentrate on playing now that I have the tone machine to get me the tone I have in my head! I would never say this about a pedal, but the fulltender is. indeed, SRV in a box! All you have to do then is learn how to play like him...and that can take a life time!

2 knobs (drive/level), 2 switches (edge, bottom), pretty straightforward.

very nice sounding overdrive. doesn't throw out raging distortion, produces a more "vintage" sounding, older-school sound. nice and even, good sustain, some mid-range boost. a rich tone, not too high-endish. i just leave both switches engaged, sounds better with them on (can't really imagine why you wouldn't always leave them on, personally). i demoed this against a boatload of high-end overdrives at the store (boston guitar works) and it sounded the best to me. kind of pricey, but i've held on to it knowing that i can always access a high quality overdriven tone if needed in a certain situation (ex. using a borrowed amp).

Reliability : 9
seems solid thus far.

haven't dealt with them.

As mentioned, way above average overdrive pedal. still, probably abit overpriced (so much gear is, really). i was trading in some old gear and just bought what sounded best at the time, and it was this pedal. aesthetically pleasing pedal as well.
