Ease of Use

The GS3 is extremely easy to use for such a deep device. Because the output levels and tone controls are in the musically usable ranges, rather than the silly and extreme, it's nearly impossible to get a bad sound out of the pedal. Both sides of the GS3 are completely independent and adjustable... and the master on/off switch enables you to turn both on/off with a single tap. This is an extremely useful feature.

Sound quality is stellar. I run the GS3 into a variety of loud clean tube amps. The boost side goes from transparent to a very low gain, flat-mid type overdrive. I primarily use it with the gain about 3/4 with a slight volume boost. My clean sound remains clean, but if I dig in, the note blossoms and gets fat with a bit of hair on it. It's still clean but with tons of beautiful character. All in all.. I find it way more useful than a strictly transparent boost pedal. Also, the cut knob lets you fine tune the high-end for different applications and amps. This would be a great pedal all by itself!
The OD side is equally impressive. It's a mid-gain , woody , plexi-voiced OD that is very touch sensitive and amp-like. This side alone has enabled me to replace a lot of my other OD pedals. It's that good!
And when you factor in the combination of the boost into the OD side,
the results are staggering. All levels of gain are possible.
Jetter must have spent a lot of time tweaking this pedal. He really got the compression amount right. Just enough to make it sing in a clean amp, but not so much that it sounds closed and strangled in a driven amp. It's refreshing to buy a boutique pedal that works in multiple applications. In my opinion, this is the finest dual OD pedal currently available.

Solid enclosure, high quality jacks, pots and switches, and very tidy internal wirng. The GS3 seems very well built and road ready. Anything is possible, but I have no reliability concerns and would gig without a back-up.

Brad was friendly, informative and helpful... both before and after my purchase. He answered all e-mails quickly, and seemed extremely interested in feedback and questions concerning his products. I also got a sense that he would completely stand behind his products if a problem arose.

I've been playing 30+ years and own/owned an embarassing amount of boutique OD pedals and other gear. I've been using the GS3 exclusively for a few months now and it's absolutely the best most versatile drive pedal I've ever used. Will it make you sound like EJ, or any other plexi-driven artists? Well... if your chops are up to it, the GS3 can certainly deliver many signature tones. More importantly...it sounds and feels so good that it will bring out the best in your own playing and I would highly recommend it for that reason alone.
