Pretty Straight forward, easy to use.

Use a Gibson Melody Maker, Boss Distortion pedal, and Boss GE7 Equalizer with a Solid State 100 watt Fender amp?Got this pedal over the Boss Delay Pedal($100+). This one was for $35 (Cheap fun)....Still messin' around with it, but it does what it says..So far I like using heavy distortion and looping/echoing the Feedback.... If you are expecting to reach Zen with great crisp tones, not gonna happen? The tone is kinda Murky on the higher levels, but this pedal is definitely more than just a one trick pony...I like it

Reliability : 9
Built like a Tank, same body type as a Boss...Looks Tuff....knobs are kinda ehhhh, but overall it looks like it can take a Beating

Nothing yet

if you?re into effect pedals, without looking to spending alot of dough...it's worth a Shot, I am still interested in getting the Boss Digital Delay, and would double up with this pedal to get that Math-rock, tricky Timing, Stuff, a steal at $35

Bought on impulse at a music store...I was pretending i was getting a Roland 301 unit.. But, for the most part, I put it on my board, and it sounded good right out of the box. Took about 5 min, to play with the knobs, and found a really good slapback type echo right away.
4 knobs, Mix...this thing needs to be redone, its not usable, you kind of just set it , but you gotta really listen and even out the sound. Quality..cool feature, but needs to more noticable, time, and uh, i dont remember. But really easy to use.

Sound Quality : 5
Crate Blue Voodoo 5o watt head, and a peavey classic tube amp..a real old one. Fender strat, Epiphnone Casino.
Sounds good, Makes a fuller sound, and blends great with a bit of rverb. I Like Brian Setzer. At the moment anyway.
Has a buffer, no real tone sucking. Not like a crappy Electro Harmonix. Or a crybaby...

Reliability : 10
Boss Type casing, seems like it can take a beating..but I have a pedal board, and i respect my pedals...Who would beat there pedals up anyway?!
I use a power supply with it, looks solidlt built, unlike a Electro Harmonix.

Found the Website right away, i sent them an wmail, and they sent me one back the same day.. THEY said they would send my comments to the tech people for future products..That sounds nice.

HAd it about a week, no problems...the bottom screws are really cheap.

I play In a country band. Deanna Kaye, and the Texas Outlaws..(I dont like the name) I wanted COWBOYS FROM HELL, or something cool..
Been playing 10 years.
IF it were stolen, id cry, but i wouldnt replace, id upgrade to a echo unit, like a roland 301. Or something. Its purple. It helps make music, it sounds good.
I want a roland space echo 301, if anyone is selling one, a working one, for under a arm and a leg, im interested. Ebay...There all over 300 bucks...There is a local music store..they want 800 for this one they got..Its brand new. Well, it was never sold.

Controls are straighforward. Your basic analog delay with the addition of a knob to control the sound quality of the echo. Unfortunately, this knob does't seem to do much. The mix knob is really touchy! If you crack it just barely on, the echo is there, a hair more and you've got a loud echo...anything over about 8 o'clock and the echo is way louder than your original signal and you've got noise to boot.

My setup... Ernie Ball Music Man EVH>phase90>Wah>AMP (5150 1/2 stack) In the loop i have an MXR flanger. I tried this echo in the loop and it REALLY REALLY killed the tone. sucked away all the "beef". I play on the rythmn channel of the amp and usually get a nice thick sound. With this in the loop? THIN, really thin. The echo was pretty good. Average sound for an analog delay. Noise was low if the mix was down. As you brought up the echo in the mix noise got pretty bad. Oh and no infinite repeat. :(

not sure cus i returned it.

No idea how to reach the makers... no info on the pedal either

this one's easy, if you're a beginner or someone who's not a tone-nut... or if you're always broke...well, it's certainly cheap. If you care about your tone at all, then i'd save the money to get a better delay.

I would have to say this unit is really no harder than any other delay to use ,in this price range they can all be a little quirky.Pretty strait forward although the mix controll is too sensitive in the lower range.

Sound Quality : 7
The sound quality is OK.If you are into grungy, grainy sort of delay sounds. This can actually be kinda cool for some stuff. Not a lot of tone suck.No periferal noise to speak of.At first use the delay times seemed too short--300mili/sec. or so.However you can substantially increase this by going inside the unit and turning the trim pot. counter clockwise about 1/8 of a turn to about 500mili/sec.They set it this way probably for optimim clarity of repeats, but this trick works. It made the thing much more usable for me.Great bang for the buck!

Built very well.Good components also, mine has JRC 4558D op amps in it.These seem to work very well with guitar circuits.Time will tell.

Minimal If any.I do not know the main distributer.

Great for classic rock and blues stuff.Overall not too bad for the price.Cheap enough to own more than one!Not pristine by any means but definitly useable.

Takes a little fussing to get a good sound. The tough part is getting a mix between dry and wet. Very touchy knob so you get too little or too much. The tech sheet give basic description but not a lot of info. Not a hard pedal to manage.

Sound Quality : 7
Setup = Fender Strat with Noiseless Pups, Crybaby 535, TS-10 (tube screamer), Fender Hot Rod Deluxe, Effects looped to Boss Metal Zone, Ibanez Volume, Johnson Echo Delay. The pedal is perfect for getting a short, low mixed delay sound. I leave it on. Draws no tone away from original signal and I can not detect any noise worth discussing. Not for someone looking for long delays. I use it to add a little "space" to the room. If the mix could be adjusted better I thing it would be a great pedal. The repeats do get noisey with low battery. Mine is hooked up to a power supply and sounds pretty good.

Reliability : No Opinion
I don't know. The box seems study enough but the knobs are kinda cheesy.

Never dealt with them

I was in the music store and bought it on an impulse. I am still doing research on which dealy units are best for me but this works in the mean time. Good bang for the $$. Analog sound with out breaking the bank.

Stomp box analog delay pedal built in China.

Controls did what they said, farily easily. Good (not great) echo out of the box.
This unit has four controls:
1. Mix - Controls the amount of delayed signal gets ampliphied
2. Delay Time - Controls Delay from 0ms to about 300ms*
3. Repeats - Controls the number of repeats
4. "Tape" Quality - Turned up cleans up the echo, turned down filters out some highs more of a "tape" sound.**

* The specifications sheet that came with the unit specifies that there is a max 800ms delay. I compared it to my 600ms Ibanez AD230 delay and it appears it's only 300ms.

** Specifcation sheet had the Tape Quality control backwards.

Sound Quality : 5
Using a Gretsch Streamliner, Fender Telecaster, Fender Stratocaster into Rt66 overdrive into Johnson Delay into '65 Fender Bandmaster head with WeberVST C15CA speaker cabinet.

Short echos were good (not great) unit is fairly quiet for the shorter delays, and when no signal is being processed does not an any significant noise. Gave me the slapback echo I've been looking for (for now anyway)

Longer (max) delays were more of a problem. There seemed to be a slight metallic sound after each repeat faded, amlost like a noise gate closing. This was really noticable on the long delays, but I couldn't hear it on the short delays.

Reliability : 5
This unit is housed in a BOSS type enclosure, that seems really rugged. Input/output jacks seemed a little loose. Time and gigs will tell. . .

Could not find a web site for the company "Johnson Electronics USA". There was not an address or phone number listed on the box or spec sheet, so I think customer support is a moot issue.

Playing mostly blues, with some surf, R&B, Country, jazz and Rock and Roll, I needed to replace a huge rack mounted Ibanez AD-230 Analog Delay. I didn't want to go digital, and I wanted to keep it pretty cheap. This unit is cheap and for gigging, could be a lot of bang for the buck. I wouldn't go into the studio with this unit. With the noise problems and the short delay (300ms) this is really only good for slapback echo. I had wanted to find a Maxon Analog delay or an older Ibanez AD-9 but those were $150+ so I settled with for the Johnson. I'll use this on my pedal board for now, but I'll probably keep looking for a better analog delay.
