This pedal does take a bit of messing around with the 4 knobs to get a sound and there isn't really *that* great a variety of worthwhile sounds.

Chorus like effect, phase like effect, vibrato like effect..... i think this is probably due to the pedal having a small range if you know what i mean.

But for me it was very easy.... just set the depth at maximum, resonance at minimum, rate at 9 0'clock and manual in a random place and you get a very warm chorus like sound which in my opinion is fantastic.

Sound Quality : 6
I'm using a WRM custom flying V --> Jim Dunlop Cry Baby --> Johnson JF-2 --> Kustom 10W in my room OR Marshall 50W Combo for small gigs.

No added noise as such... in fact just lie the wah i would say it removes some of the noise however any static or anything does get mixed in with the effect and is 'whooshed'. When distorted this pedal is simple..... awful.... in my opinion it should only be used on clean guitar as it makes the distortion sound very deep and muffled and notes cannot be heard clearly.

Reliability : 9
Built like a Boss, strong metal case, feels rugged and if i threw it at you, you'd know about it.

I'd definately take it on stage without worrying about it.

I play classic rock and many types of metal.

I find this pedal very useful when playing any clean metallica songs as it gives the guitar much more depth and feeling which most of the time is good and gives a more professional sound.

If I were to lose it...... i do not think i would buy the item again but instead purchase a multi-effects pedal or a plain old chorus and phaser.

Fairly simple to use. Takes a bit of fanagaling to get a good sound.

Sound Quality : 9
Basic flanger. Not noisy, but will whoosh any sound coming from the guitar or other pedals. Nice sound, but not quite a deep enough flange for my taste.

Built like a Boss. Very rugged.

Never dealt with them.

I would suggest it for anyone looking for a basic flanger. If you plan on using it as an essential part of your sound you may want to try a different pedal, but if only as an occasional effect it is great. For the price it is a great deal.

Probably pretty straight-forward if you've used a flanger before, maybe not so easy if you haven't. Here's what the controls do, at least as I understand them...

Manual: Mixes the original signal with the delayed signal. Turn to the left to increase original, to the right to increase delay volume. This knob has no noticable effect when Depth control is set to maximum.

Depth: Um, ok... very simply put, controls how dramatic the effect is, but as to what it actually does, I *think* it just makes the volumes of the original and delayed signals fluctuate, and I *think* this is why the Manual knob doesn't seem to do anything when depth is on maximum.

Rate: Controls how quickly the delay time (and in effect, the pitch) fluctuates.

Res[onance]: Controls how much the delay time varies. The higher the setting, the further the pitch will drop.

Sound Quality : 9
Quite a handy pedal! I didn't expect it to be as versatile as it is. For a warm chorus-like sound, set the Depth to maximum, Res to minimum, and adjust the Rate to your liking. For low-key vibrato, set the Depth to minimum and Res to maximum. Set the knobs somewhere in-between for slower jet-like effects, trippier bouncy vibrato, or whatever else you find that sounds interesting.

I'm currently using a crappy improvised setup, but despite that, I've been able to get some very nice, warm sounds out of this pedal. It doesn't seem to produce much noise, but it can "whoosh" the existing noise if left on when not playing.

I think the Cure combined flanging with delay for some interesting effects for some songs on Disintegration (one of the guitars on Pictures of You, some on Last Dance, Fascination Street, Homesick...).

Reliability : 10
Built like a Boss pedal; I wouldn't expect any problems with it.
You probably would want an AC adapter though.

Never dealt with them.

It does what it's supposed to, and it's cheaper than Boss's version. If it was lost or stolen, I might consider something with more features to mess with, but I'd recommend this pedal for anyone looking for a basic flanger.

It was reaLLy easy to get nice sound out of it. You just have mess with the knob's.
Depth. Rate. Manual and res.

Sound Quality : 9
basic flanger but, it can be used as a vibrato if set right that has a cool sound. Not all that bad for the price.

Reliability : 9
It look's the same as any boss pedal but, give's you more room 2 move the knob's. It should last a long time.

Not sure.

Overall Rating : 9
My favorite part about it is the vibrato sound I can get.
I play rock and blue's and it has a good tone with my Boss DS-1.
The overall sound of flanger it has is really basic but, sounds great.
