This pedal I the easiest to get excellent sound, only two knobs (Volume & Fuzz). As a booster pedal is just phenomenal, just turn the FUZZ to minimal and adjust the volume to your taste of boost. Take the VOLUME to maximum and you have the sweetest overdrive, very Hendrix/SRV, or think of Hey Joe/Little Wing. It is responsive to the volume and tone control of your guitar. This pedal past 7 on the FUZZ knob is the most controllable FUZZ there is, not harsh and noisy. I had the Fulltone '70, and the gypsy fuzz, is 100 times better if you want to capture the tone of Hendrix's Band of Gypsies. And at maximum settings this pedal clean like you would not believe with the volume of the guitar.

I tested the pedal with a 1993 Solo 100 Head and 4x12 Brit. Celest. V30s. An analog delay and a digital reverb. The only noise I got was because of the single coil pickups on the two Fender Stratocaster guitars that I used to test the pedal and that is normal on single coils, works really well with humbuckers, but you don't get the sound a la Hendrix, or SRV.

I looked inside the pedal and it is a very well made pedal. The outside as well. The bypass switch and overall is quality. I like the fact that is has a clip to hold the battery. Powder coated box with a number scale in the volume and fuzz knobs. Great for writing special setups for the pedal. No need for backup, it is made very strong.

Ok in this department I can understand the guy is a super busy, making pedal, but he will answer your emails sooner or later. I think I upset Kevin when I ordered my fist pedal from him, the megavibe he makes. But anyway, I apologize, if I did, but you have to understand that genius people like him are very temperamental persons, so don???t upset him, just be patient.

I obviously play Hendrix/SRV, for about 30 years. I would definitely would try to get another one if it gets stolen. This pedal gives you the Hendrix from the Band of Gypsies tone. I did have the '70 pedal by Fulltone and let me tell you that the Gypsy Fuzz beats the '70 by 100 miles. It is made with dedication.
