Two controls - intensity (i.e. gain) and volume. Input and output clearly marked "to guitar" and "to amplifier." Absolutely a no-brainer. I wish it had an LED.

Excellent as a clean boost. The volume control has a tremendous range. This thing drives the hell out of either of my amps - a '65 Univox all-tube combo and a Soldano HR50. Sounds a little flabby when the intensity knob is cranked more than halfway; however this thing is awesome for getting those ripped-speaker choking-on-fuzz sounds. Works very well with both my Guyatone compression pedal and my Maxon SD-9. Now I can get very authentic multiple gain stages with each of my amps, both of which have only one channel.

I've never encountered such a sturdily built pedal. Holy crap. I took off the four screws holding the back plate in place to access the battery compartment, and the insides are pristine. The switch, components and wiring are all top quality. Additionally, the guts are really simple. No labels or paint - the chassis is deeply engraved with the brand name, model number and control labels.

SWEET! This thing is super-cool and super old. If the mosh pit ever turned into a riot I could use this thing to knock out even the biggest, most pissed-off thrashhead.
