Ease of Use : 9
It is a very compact and easy to use unit.
Once you edit a couple of times it becomes second nature.
I have a complete manual for it and i guard it with my life !!! They are very hard to find.

Sound Quality : 10
I run Ibanez SR800 and even my Danelecto thru it.
The effect levels are varied but you can control it.
I run an SWR SM400 head and a Golith II 410( a very sweet sounding rig indeed)

Reliability : 8
I have played atleast 25+ gigs with this unit and it only went down once @ practice. The only problem was when it wouldn't hold a memory;
but that was fixed by a local repair man for $10.00.
The case itself is plastic but quite indestructable

Customer Support : 2
Korg themselves has never been a very friendly co. in regards to tech help. They offer the owners manual on thier site for a $36.00 + S/H

Overall Rating : 10
If any one has any cool patches to share PLEASE email me i will share mine as well.

Incredable! Just turn the knobs, listen for what you want and go!

Sound Quality : 9
I use a 5-string on a small amp, and the sound is crystal clear. No scratching, buzzing, nothing. Maybe a little feedback from the bass.

Reliability : 10
1 year and hasn't crapped out on me. I would use it anytime.

Customer Support : 6
I've tried looking for a manual for it on the official webpage and elsewhere, but no luck.

Overall Rating : 10
I play metal and punk, and the presets are amazing, and the user-compatability is fantastic. With my basses (5-string and 4-string fretless) I have had no complaints except the lack of manual. I would recommend this to any and everyone. I'd get a new one if lost. One thing it could use is a variation pedal. With the A4, playing songs just isn't the same anymore. Excellent work by Korg.

VERY easy to use. Never had an easier multi-effects unit than this. Just stomp it and play. Programming was a bit time consuming, but after you got it, you got it!

Sound Quality : 9
NOISY if passed thru the effects loop of my Carvin PB300 head. However, if I simply plugged the unit into the main Lo jack of the amp and used the internal Noise gate, I had little hissing or humming. Fewer cords that way, too. I also liked the factory patches so much gthaqt I rarely used any of my own!

Reliability : 9
VERY RELIABLE. Never had it do anything that I didn't want it to or puke out on me during resording or gigging. Even tho it's made out of plastic, this unit is ROBUST. Yeah, it scratches, but it never breaks!

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with them. Never had to. Nuff said.

Overall Rating : 9
I play funk, rock, metal, jazz and ambient. This unit fit easily into all of those cats.

If you can find one of these and you need a simple but kick-ass bass FX unit, this is the thing!

The programming is very easy and there is a wide range of options.

Sound Quality : 6
Without an fx loop my pedal gave out alot of weird digital noises when at idle. The noise gets worse the louder the volume

Reliability : 7
The lithium battery died a couple of times and its fixed to the board somehow. I had to get a Korg dealer to fix it.

Customer Support : 9
I had lost the instruction manual and they shipped it over pronto.

Overall Rating : 8
I play anything and everything and the pedal has more fx than I need. Don't like the noise but the loop gets rid of it. I lost all my presets when the battery died. Had to start from scratch...I wrote down the settings this time. Factory presets sound great.

At first it was alittle confusing, but then again, I'm just a beginner with Effects Pedals... But that quickly cleared up. The adjusting knobs take time to get used to, but you can quickly figure out how to program and get the sound you want.

Sound Quality : 10
The effects are marvelous... My band and audience is very appreciative of how nice the effects are.

Reliability : 10
I do believe that I have had ~0~ problems with the effects board, and it has undergone quite a bit.

Overall Rating : 10
This is an excellent effects processor, well worth the money I invested.

it enabled me to program patches for all different types of music, ranging from simple, clean bass, to industrial chaos. The equations with the fx knobs take a little getting used to, but that's with any processor.

Sound Quality : 9
truly remarkable. noisy when it needed to be, and quiet and clean at the right times. sometimes it was suprising at exaclty how well the sound came through. It overdrives, but not easily enough to affect my playing.

Reliability : 9
The only time it has ever failed me was when i maxed the HELL out of it, and it clicked off( it does so automatically, kinda like a power surge, but intentional). So long as you know each banks limitations, and don't exceed them, there is no reason for a live backup processor.

personally, I use this board for bass the least amount of the time. Usually, i'm running through it items like Samplers, synthesizers, keyboards, mics and guitars. In combination with my other gear, by companies such as Roland, Yamaha, Alesis, and peavy, it runs smoothly and seemlessly. I have used this for four solid years, and cannot imagine life, let alone music, without it. I love the fact that each effect, especially the Delay and Chorus/Flanger, have ranges that reach to the heavens, allowing an infinite number of sounds. The greatest feature is true on-board synth....not simulated fake sounding synth usually found in independant pedals....but then again, Korg is known for it's synth. For the type of music i create, it has helped to make me darker, heavier, and louder(through use of the EQ and dynamic). Oscillating synth would be nice, but i've never seen that in any effects processor. I got it at a steal, and people I know who have bought one new for as high as $900 still say it's well worth the money.

8- Pretty easy to use, I had never used effects before and was able to program my own sounds very quickly. I also like that you can copy the factory presets and then adjust them to your own tastes

Sound Quality : No Opinion
The sound quality is pretty good, there is some his with some effects or at loud volumes. One draw back is that some effects come out louder than others, but you can adjust for that by changing the preset volume of an effect. The chorus is very nice and I especially like the fretless synth mode

Reliability : No Opinion
Well, I have twice lost my preset programs (luckily both times during practice), and the tuner on the user preset side. I have not been able to track down this problem yet. But I have had it for over a year. I also had the power converter burn out on me and the replacement was $25.

Overall Rating : No Opinion
For the money I think this is pretty good over all, I just wish that it wouldn't periodically lose the presets (the guitarist in my band has an a4 for guitar and has experienced similar problems). I really like the chorus and the reverb. The fretless synth is nice for soloing. I wish it had an octave up/down feature.
