Very easy to use. Simple manual. Everything covered that you think should be.

Wowwaaaahhh! This thing sounds amazing. Technology in these digi pedals has really shifted over the last few years. The overdrives and just breaking up sounds are great. The whammy is very good - I remember when this effect was an elite thing - now you can find it on a ??50 pedal! I especially like the phaser very crisp and 70's sounding. The delays are nice too. One thing about the simplicity of the unit is that it can prevent you from ''over-effecting''. All the right things have been included in their right amounts. I am playing this unit into a Mesa Boogie Rectoverb combo with a PRS CE22.

Seeeems to be ok. A little plasticcy but footpedal is nice and rugged etc.

Not had any dealings with Korg. I thought they made synth stuff. Ha ha.

This little unit is a breath of fresh air. I am an ageing gigging musician in a great little rock three piece (myspace.com/thedemonllamas). Just a note I preferred this unit to the new AX5G because it has a proper larger foot treadle for the wah etc and it has knobs on for adjusting your tone on the fly. BIG question: Can I possibly gig a ??50 unit in amongst my expensive road ready rig? Answer: It sounds too damn good to leave it at home!

Very easy to use right out of the box. A quick glance at the manual gets you to the deeper levels quickly and easily. took me a few minutes to figure out how to turn the wah on. Editing and saving patches is very easy. Sound really good...just learn to ignore most of the factory pre sets, but that's the same with all of these type of units.

Sound Quality : 9
Only had it a few days and can get good sounds very easily. Al effects sound very good to me.

Reliability : 9
Looks pretty sturdy. I don't think it's a good idea to use anything without a backup in a real gig situation though.

Never dealt with them. This is my first Korg.

Overall Rating : 10
I play rock...mostly old school 70's stype stuff... a lot of originals.
Been playing almost 40 years..i know good sound and this has it. Compares very favorably with my Boss Me-30. I like the sounds of the Korg better, but I like the ability to play the Boss in Maunaul mode where you use it like seperate stomp boxes. The Korg is definitely quieter and the noise reduction works better than the Boss.
It really should have an on/off switch, just wierd without it. Like many pedals..it sounds good..just learn not to overdo it with the effects. Quality of the effects are great in this unit and a steal at ebay prices.

this product is easy to get good tone out of if you know how to work an amp then you'll get great tones from this product.

Sound Quality : 9
some of the best effects on it are the quality of distortion ive owned several distortion pedals and another multi but this is the best ive ever had. the tones you get vary from ye olde rock to almost a black/ death metal feel. the manual is very usefull and easy to understand not that i use manuals much anyway. flange and chorus are also great. another effect im pleased with is the acoustic pre-amp setting sounds almost real.

Reliability : 8
ive not had this product very long however it seems reasonably sturdy but the plastic sides may be a slight problem. i use this in gigs without a backup.

It took me about 1 hour to work everything out properly on this. The manual was very helpful even though I don't usually even read them whenever I get something new I just start playing with it straight away.

Sound Quality : 9
I have three different guitars that play through this unit, but the best is my Tony Iommi SG. I can get the exact distortion that I want and then make the sound bigger with a chorus effect thats built into my amp. The amp being a Marshall 250 DFX (100 watt). I can get the sound for all the greatest Sabbath songs out of this setup. The only effect in this unit that is weak is the wah, which just sounds bad. Thats where my Jim Dunlop GCB-95 Cry Baby comes in handy.

Reliability : 9
I can depend on this and I would use it at a gig without a backup. I mean I have pleanty of distortion pedals but I don't think I will have any worries with this unit.

Never dealt with Korg.

Overall Rating : 9
I play mostly only Black Sabbath and this unit suits that perfectly distortion wise. I use the Vox AC30 for some songs and the Fuzz for others but overall one of the best is the UK 70s amp effect. I have been playing for 6 years and own many other effect pedals but I was sick of hooking up all of them all the time and carrying around all these leads and that is why this is so great for me. If it were lost I would definitly get another one of these. I did compare this with numurous Digitech effect units, but I chose this because I am on a bit of a budget and got this at a bargain price. It dose help me emencley with my music playing and just makes it that much more enjoyable when you can get the tone you want.

It is very easy to use, although the downside is the small writing on the knobs which could be hard for people to read although I don't have that problem, and the other is it's quite slow to skip through the different effect settings (0.1, 0.4, etc)

Sound Quality : 7
I usually run it through a Kustom KGA10FX (10 Watt) and it sounds quite good, but sounds virtually the same using headphones, sometimes better. When it is in the amp, it doesn't make a huge hiss sound when you play, and it sounds like I play in a better amp than I use.

Reliability : 8
This is veyr reliable, not had any problems using it. I would probably use it for a gig if I was in a band, but I'd probably take backup incase it got stood on as it's basically plastic on the outside.

Very easy to use, although adjusting the second parameter of the modulation effects requires that you hold the function button. A minor gripe, but would another set of up/down buttons kill them? The presets provide SOME decent starting points, although many of them are clearly for showroom WOW...

Sound Quality : 9
The amp sims are entirely hit or miss. I've used the AX10 in two ways: 1) Straight into the MAC to record using Garage band and 2) Into an Ampeg Jet 2 15 watt tube combo (very clean). The guitars are a 62 Reissue Strat ith Texas Specials and a Les Paul Studio Here's my breakdown:

The Good: The 70's UK (read:plexi) and the 80's UK (read:JCM 800) are really nice, although of all the sims, the 80's UK is significantly louder. The Tweed 4X10 is pretty good as well. The similarity in sounds between the 70's UK and the tweed 4X10 are subtle, with the tweed being tighter and brighter and the 70's having a more blooming low end. Think about the Bassman as country and the UK 70's as rock and roll...That's how use it anyway. My main patches are a staight ahead UK 70's, then the same amp with chorus and a hall reverb mixed in, a clean bassman and another UK 70's with the hall reverb and a phaser (this last sound NAILS Breathe from Dark Side of the Moon with the Strat in position 4). I also have a Recto patch and the UK 80's patched for heavier stuff with the LP, but the volume difference between the two makes it difficult to use the two effectively during the same song.

The Blackface and the UK 90's are alright (UK 90's for Puppets era Metallica). The blackface however, does not stay clean near long enough as the gain increases (I find it has more dirt than the Uk 70's model....WTF?

The modulations are all very nice too...The chorus and phaser are to me the cream of the crop, with the rotary speaker sim being a close second when patched to the foot controler.

That being said, I use the foot controler almost always for volume control. Between that and the guitars volume, I can control both the gain and overall volume on the fly.

I cannot stress enough that this thing is capable of some convincing sounds. As an example, I was playing through my Strat on the Bridge pickup with "Don't fear the Reaper" using the UK 70's patch with chorus. My girlfriend, who is entirely uninterested in guitars, commented that she really could not seperate what was the song and what was me...hmmm.

The Bad: As others have said, the AC15 and AC30 sounds are garbage. Forget about them...and the fuzz? LOL...It would be better to just not have it. The boutique is prety lifeless too...Kinda sounds like all the stiff qualities of the other models rolled into one...no dynamics.

Reliability : 9
Never used it to gig...but I will. Although its is plastic, I'm not too rough on things. As for a backup, if it crapped out on me I'd just take it out of the chain and run straight into my amp.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 10
I love it. The dynamics are excpetional. No, its not the same as standing in front of a quality amp, but having those dynamics at any volume is, imho, a worthwhile sacrifice. I would say this is a great tool for home, studio or gigging.

Extremely easy to use. The manual is on the Korg website. It's one of those Korg 3 dial jobs, and it mostly succeeds at simplifying things.

Sound Quality : 9
Mainly a Hohner G3T (Steinberger copy).
Not really noisy at all.
You're probably aware this one of those Korg 3-dial jobs, first knob is amp modeling, second is modulation, third is ambience.
The amp modeling is kinda sterile (but a big improvement over my Pandora 2), everything else is pretty lush out of the box.
I've found that feeding it through my DOD Milk Box stomp compressor helps make the amp models sound more analog.
Re: amp models: line sounds like recording through a mixer board. The boutique setting has a larger than life quality suggestive of a boutique tube amp. The Vox amps sound alot like Tom Petty. The not very clearly named Fender amps (apparently meant to be a blackface twin 212 and a bassman 410) don't nearly do those amps justice but liking those kinds of amps (who wouldn't) I go to those settings and then try to tweak and/or ignore the manifest inadequacies. Even if the sound isn't near right, the personality is similar (as in, degree of breakup and frequency response). The problem may be that this is all greater or lesser degrees of Vox style breakup, and I guess its just a very different type of distortion somehow from Fender. The british (read Marshall) and recto settings: various degrees of crunch, I'm not the person to tell you how authentic they sound, but they are useful. There's a lot of other stuff besides the amp models, basically every type of modulation and ambience ever used on a guitar, most of it pretty lush, the tremelo sounds particularly good (but maybe that's an easy one). I found the pedal to have about the same throw as a Cry Baby, that is to say, not as much as I'd like, and the response of the wah along the pedal was similar to a Cry Baby, that is, it can be uneven and abrupt, and there are no adjustments for the wah, but easing back on the guitar volume can help.

Reliability : 6
Having taken this apart, it's basically one big motherboard and a daughterboard or two. The pedal...I'm not sure if its opto or not, but there is no moving part beside the pedal, which moves a dull painted silver surface towards a couple of led looking things. The whole thing (except for the bottom big sheet metal plate) is made out of plastic and at a gig you would have to worry about some uninvited leadfoot smashing it. Rather than try and nag everybody around to leave it alone, I'd put it someplace safe when not actually using it.

Overall Rating : 9
As a guy who just plays around the house, in the end all the possibilities kind of distract from actually playing. I'm hoping I'll settle down to a couple of basic sounds. For a guy playing in a band, though, I think it's possible to create whatever sound is needed. If it were stolen or lost, if I could get the same thing at $100 or less, absolutely. At $150, since I just play around the house, I'd probably keep looking.

Very easy to use, analog knobs for selecting amp models/effects are really easy to use. Editing patches is also very easy, only preset patches could have been little better. You need to experiment a little to get good sounds.

Sound Quality : 8
My current setup is Squier Strat -> AX10G -> Computer -> Logitech speakers. I play satriani/vai/deep purple music and have little problems getting high distorted sound with crappy pickups on squier, it squeals and hums like hell. AX10G itself isn't noisy at all, I tried it with Japanese Strat with duncan pickups and few Ibanez guitars and worked ok. I think it's not made for my style. Only one amp model is modern high-gain, and I think there should be more distortion options (distortion/overdrive box models or something). Auto wah is very good, but I don't like the pedal wah. It's more like volume pedal than wah. I don't use many effects: compressor, amp sim, little delay and sometimes auto wah. You can get very decent sound with it, though I never tried it with an amp.

Reliability : 9
I have it for 9 months and had no problems with it.

Has some quirks I find annoying: You can?t scroll quickly through the patches by "press and hold" of the up or down pedal, so if you want to move 20 patches, you gotta taps 20 times, and the numbering for the user patches is decimal form, (0.1 thru 0.4 then 2.0 through 2.4 up to 9.4) so 10 pedal taps is not necessarily the patch you?re expecting.

While adjusting some settings such as rotary speed, you gotta hold the ?FUNCTION? button simultaneously as you press the rotary speed control up or down, which is aggravating because you gotta use two hands which makes it difficult to play as you tweak the parameter.

The lettering on rotary knobs is difficult to see if there is any glare, they wash-out (white letters on silver knobs).

I HATE using a ?TAP? delay.

OK enough whining.

Otherwise, the editing is EZ and relatively intuitive, but read the manual to get some good tips and impossible-to-know-from-just-messing-with-it features. EZ and fun to assign various parameter controls to the foot rocker pedal.

Sound Quality : 6
This sounds OK for $149.99. Sounds better through headphones. I was disappointed by the ?BLK2X12? amp sim: not even close. And the AC30TB just does not ?sing? like it should. The ?MODULATION? and ?AMBIENCE? controls are fine, and you get some cool rich sounds, but I don?t like the chorus. In the context of playing with a band though, this sounds better when you crank up, and get some real air ambience going on with the other instruments and the room.

Reliability : No Opinion
Brand new, but I bet the foot switches wear out quickly from all that tapping (see above) and the 3 big rotary knobs feel a little loose and cheesy. Some of the white lettering on those knobs is already starting to look a little worn off. The foot rocker pedal feels solid.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 6
Probably as good as any $149.99 multi FX processor, a wide varity of sounds and tricks. Give it a whirl.

They guy in the shop hooked up a guitar and an amp, and about 5 seconds later I had my Death in Vegas (Aisha), my Marillion and my Pantera. Easy: it's harder to trip over your own shoe laces...

Sound Quality : 9
Running a good ol' Les Paul and a couple of Marshall amps. If you turn the noise reduction up then you won't hear the hiss except when you've just muted the whole thing.

You have to remember that many of the factory preset effects are set to a low depth - so a cursory glance might not do this little modeller justice. Check out the square wave tremolo (you must have heard Nancy Sinatra: Bang Bang) or the rotary speaker if you want to find yourself smack in the middle of a favourite song. The ambient effects seem like a bit of a cheap add-on when you read them, but apply with subtlty and you can really add an extra level to the sound, especially when you're recording.

Reliability : 7
It looks a bit dainty, but c'mon - this thing is solid state and in a gig you'll be using your pre-programmed banks so it won't matter if a knob flies off...

Yes it is OK, just got it today so still getting to grips with it... actually that is rubbish, anyone with hands can get used to it... editting patched is OKish, although occasionally changing off the compressor makes it blurt out feedback garbage and white noise...

Sound Quality : 10
Oh goodness!!! This is a rocker, real valve tone form real valves??? Vox go overboard with their pedal, this is solid state and I couldn't tell the difference! All the distortions are useable even when they don't produce a very high gain on "full whack" your guitar feedbacks like nothing on earth... and the modulations are OK, Univibe, rotating speaker, a tremolo which can be turned fully square-wave??? No probs... although the side of things is vintage and analogue, there are a few effects which are slightly more modern... "Filter" sounds like you slipped and landed on a Moog, feedback is for people who cannot make real feedback (a sort of Viagra type substitute) and "Talk" which traps your amp in a great big Jagger-esque gob!

One day and it isn't gubbed, come back in 6 months time... it took me 9 months to break a (far flimsier) Zoom 606...

Very easy to use, straight forward contros. No need to read the manual really. To edit the user patches, all you have to do is set the sound you like, and press ONE button. If you do need to read the manual, it's very good. It explains eveythng in a very easy language.
On the back its got all the patches labled(what effects, what levels of effects, gain, and stuff like that.)

My setup is a HAMER SFX2, and a Marshall mg10cd. It sounds absolutely amazing! The tube amp sound is very realistic. The effects are like anologue! The tweaks always sound great, whatever they are. All effects are great(as i mentioned before). I play all rock/blues things. This baby is perfect!

If it were lost my dad won't get me another one, cos he'd say that i cant look after it properly, but if it were stolen, i'd definately get the same one. I love everything about it. The expression pedal is a very good feature. The acoustic emulator is great! Very realistic! One thing i don't like: you cant really set the delay time yourself. You have to press a button a couplr o times. Its tap delay. You cant set a specific time. Now, i vever use my amp without it. It sounds soooooooooo much better with it! Amazin' little thing. I'm new to amp modelling and I don't own any effects pedals but it didn't take me long to get a basic grasp of the unit. Having gone through all the factory settings I only found 2 that I actually liked (UK 80s lead and acoustic w volume pedal), I set about building my own programs and that's where the unit comes into its own for me. The manual is good enough to get the basic settings right but it's not in depth enough when it comes to setting custom delays (I still don't know how the tap button works!) and using the function button is a bit of a nightmare.

Sound Quality : 9
The sound is excellent in my opinion, I can't say for sure how accurate the simulations are because I haven't heard all the real amps in the flesh but they definitely give an organic valve "whoosh" and they respond to your picking as a valve amp should. My core guitar is an Ibanez Talman semi which has a fine tone as it is but when I compare the sound with the AX10G, as opposed to being plugged straight into my Marshall MG15dfx amp, the sound is so much bigger and more controllable. I do wish the unit sounded as good through my amp as it does using headphones but I know that's never going to happen. The effects sound great and there's amazing versatility, I think you could just go on forever working on new sounds.

Reliability : 8
I am a pure hobbyist, my guitar will probably never be anywhere near a stage but the unit (although plastic) seems solid enough, unless you wear cowboy boots or steel toecaps! I don't really think it's a gig weapon but for home use, it's perfect.

I've been playing for 2 years so I'm still a beginner, I play all sorts of styles but Zeppelin and Floyd are my favourites I also have a 12 string electro-acoustic which sounds amazing through the AX10g and I would certainly think seriously about buying another unit the same if I were to lose mine. I think that for the money the AX10g is just about the best value there is. In fact, in the UK since it came out, other manufacturers such as Yamaha and Zoom have had to drop their prices. Even Fender has gone into onboard effects in a big way.

If you can set the dials on a stomp box, you can use this. The manual recommends setting your patches in order - Amp, then Modulation, then Reverb/Delay(Ambience) Just like you would with any chain of effects. Editing patches is as easy as pushing a button twice! Like everyone else here, I can't see the DAMN DIALS very easily, (white print on a brushed silver dial), but big deal. If you have the knowledge to set some controls on an amp, you can figure out how to use this. Just takes a little time, that's all.

Sound Quality : 8
The sound quality on these effects is superb. The amp models sound really true and give you a HUGE variety of tone. It actually does give a tube type response to volume and attack on the strings. Pretty impressive. Modulating effects are really smooth and quiet. I happen to love a little phase and this gives a really rich sound. Chorus is so so....The trem effects sound good, (don't use them that much, but anyway)

Increiblemente facil! Super easy to use. Very simple interface. The only problem is the Function button, but, once you read the manual(few pages) It becomes clear how the unit works.

Sound Quality : 9
I use it for practice with a Dean Avalanche MQ guitar and a Fender Frontman 25R (With reverb), I've used the unit with a Frontman Bullet amp but the reverb on the 25R lets you get more out of the AX10G because It lets me use the delay along with the reverb and let me tell you, It sounds awsome. Its not superior as my BOSS ME-33, nevertheless, when the ME-33 broke down, the AX10G did a great gob, it sounds pretty decent. You cannot do crazy sh*t like when you program the ME-33 (you can only use one effect per patch in the AX10G, as far as what I've learned about), and It doesn't sound as god as the first, but for the price I payed, I was surprised about what you can get out of this little machine...

The EQ Is usefull if you want to create nice clean sounds. Love the compressor, the wah's are + o - and when you combine the reverb of the Frontman 25R with the PP delay + 70's UK amp Dist you get a killer lead dist sound.

I'm not exactly a novice (college educated in Electronics and University in Computing) but i found this a little un-userfreindly esp the hold function button and press other buttons to get a secondary function a simple LCD menu would have been a better way round the problem.
Another gripe and a potential useableness (i made that word up :P) killer is completely unreadable dials when they are directly lit or when they are poorly lit :(

best multi-effects i've heard - i seriously rate Korg in this department (which is why i bought it), it's very near pro quality eps. when compared to the cheaper ones (Digitech/Zoom)

Reliability : No Opinion
too new to say - no problems so far

I played around with a few before deciding on this ones Big Bro the AX1500g but got this instead as it's a) cheaper b) smaller c) mostly the same
the biggest thing i would worry about is there is no real-time delay - there are echo type effects like stereo ping-pong delay and such but no actual delay like the ones in the 1500g that delay output by upto 1s (which you either find helps you correct mistakes or not) and also there is no delay loop (to play the last thing you played in a loop) which the 1500g does upto 8s, all in all the only part missing from the 1500g is the delay effects so if you don't particularly want or need those get this instead!

Real simple setup, very easy to edit effects

I may have tried a dud, but the unit i looked at didn't sound that great. The amp sims were ok on the clean side of things - Fender / vox etc, but once i started using UK modern or recto sims my the sounds was quite muddy no matter how i tweaked it.

The effects were pretty good, on the unit i tried the 'univibe' sounded quite good.

Reliability : 8
It's made of plastic so i wouldn't go jumping on it too hard

Customer Support : 10
The store i tried it from were great & very helpful, i have no doubt they would be able to back up the products they sell

Overall Rating : 8
I really liked the effects, however i felt the amp sims left a little to be desired (Like i said before, maybe the unit i tested wasn't up to par with some others)

After reading the manual (once is enough), I was able to do pretty much everything this thing has to offer. I guess that describes how easy this thing is to use. Tho I think it lacks some deeper manual control, I'd say it's sufficient (no way to set wet/dry mix independently of the ambience and modulations, but u'll get used to it)

Sound Quality : 10
The first thing came into my head when trying this thing was (DAMN, tube sound). Seriously, I never thought u could get that kind of sound outta digital box--for $160. I felt it was too good it made me laugh sometime.
But as all digital boxes do, when u plug it directly to amp's input (never tried the send-return thing, but I will), it'll produce somewhat compressed sound, not as open (tone-wise) as when u plug it directly.
About the details on each effects, I think the earlier comments are pretty clear :)

Reliability : 7
Yup, like they said, it's made of plastic. Dohhh...
But as long as u don't abuse it, I believe it'll last.

The idea was right for the nob based settings and everything. I really could of seen this as an easy to use pedal but, however, it isn't so easy afterall especially if you've never used similar pedals before. Firstly the printing on the 3 main nobs are white on silver!! impossible to read clearly standing up and under bad light. alot of buttons had two functions so get's confusing. And the patch switches are too far apart to go into bypass mode easily. (step together).

Sound Quality : 10
THIS BABY IS AWESOME!! not just for the price! using it through my crrappy ibanez i still got the most amazing tone that i never had with my ZOOM pedal. I wouldn't say the presets are bad, but not usefull. But that doesn't mean the sound is bad. There are still many fantasic presets and you can dial in many of your own. Distortion is fat and flanger sounds like it's analog!!

Reliability : 7
plastic..but solid..hope pedal stands up to test of time.

Customer Support : 8
well the reasson i got this pedal was the amount of information and demo shown on the site. i got 12 month warranty. though i never dealt with korg directly

Overall Rating : 9
This baby suits any style and is probably the best pedal in it's class. I play mostly rock ie. GNR, Super Jesus etc... and some J-Rock ie. Glay, L'arc~en~ciel. It worked wonders for me. the best purchase i've made yet.

This unit is fun as hell! It has a lot of weak points espcially compared to more expensive modelers such as Vox's Toneworks SE, but nothing gives instant gratification like this box does. You can have a lot of fun just clicking through the presets--a lot of really wild sounds here.

Sound Quality : 6
This is not a whisper silent effects box. It generates a lot noticable hiss. It has some really great sounds and models, but it's too noisy to be used in the studio--at least for my ears. What's worse is that the thing is seriously microphonic. Bump it with your shoe and you'll definetly hear it through your amp. Yikes! That's no good.

Reliability : 5
I've only tested this out in the store, so I can't speak much to it's reliability; however, the noisiness and microphonic quality certainly didn't inspire confidence in it's construction. The body appears cheap and I question whether it would hold up well to constant stage use. This seems better suited for home practice.

Overall Rating : 7
I think from a "let's have fun and jam with my friends" perspective, this box is a blast! You can get a wide variety of interesting guitar sounds from it, some very realistic and others are just out-right bizzare. However the sound quality doesn't really hold up to close scrutiny. It's too noisy and microphonic. If you really need to have great modeling tone and a suitable studio and stagee-worthy pedal, you're probably going to want to spend the extra four hundred dollars and get the Tonelab SE. It's not as easy to use and doesn't offer as many super-freaky guitar sounds right out off the box, but it's certainly cleaner, more accurate, sturdier, and ready for the studio and stage.

very simple to get good sounds out of it in a second without the manual.
The Manual is good.

Yes, finally Korg made a Pedal with a Compressor as PRE Effekt! This works really great with all of the Presets. I specially like the EQ, BTQ CLN, BLK 212, VOX AC 30TB and the UK Stacks. FUZZ is crap, but try the RECTO with FILTER (!) at 0.2. This really rocks!
I would give it a 10, but the Noise Reduction does not work good enough and you can forget the ACOUSTIC Pre Effekt. But I´m using the BOSS NS-2 Noise Reduction Pedal with astonishing results, so all of the Noise Problems are gone, specially with Strat Type Guitars. Yes, Norbert caught it absolutely right – the AX10G got a lot of Sounds that are similar to the expensive VOX TONELAB that I have tried some weeks ago. When youre using Headphones you have to be aware that some sound good, some do not. I have a 9,- Euro HITEC AUDIO EAR ONE and that sounds awesome!!! (Probably of the higher Range in the middle Frequencies). Some of my other expensive Hifi Headphones does not work so properly until I tweek completely new Sounds. By the Way - the Modulation & Ambience Effects are pretty o.k. Forget most of the Factory Presets! They sound just terrible…

Reliability : 7
Damn - its Plastic! This Thing is absolutely worth to be made out of metal. SO KORG LISTEN!!! One other thing that drives me really crazy:
The writing on the Amp Type, Modulation & Ambience Selectors is white on Silver! They are very hard to read, specially in darker Locations.
The next time PLEASE take Black on Silver!

I have the pretty good AX100G, Pandora PX2 and tested the AX1500G, but the AX10G is far better!! If you need a good Pedal specially for clean and crunchy VOX Sounds (Country/Rock!!!) then you have to try this! I recommend it specially for the ones who can not efford the far expensive TONELAB. It’s a REAL good alternative! SO BUY IT!!!

This thing is pretty easy to use, Fairly basic bank up and bank down preset footswitches. Its easy to dial in your own custom sounds too and its easy to save them into the bank. The tap function and the pickup output switches can can pretty annoying. other than that its easy to use.

Sound Quality : 8
I have a custom stratocaster with an SD hotrails in the bridge with a coil tapping switch installed, I also have a custom les paul with 500t and 496r pickups. and every thing is running into a 70w fender tube amp.
The sound quality from this thing is great lots of people have tried mine out and said they love the large spectral variety of tones you can crank out of this box. Theres lots of great effects for trippy 70's music and 11 well modeled amps that can be dialed in with the turn of a knob.
The noise gate is one of the issues I have with this pedal since its audible cutting in and out of your guitars natural feedback can get insanely annoying. Also the Vox AC30 model is very dissapointing that it is way to high and bright to even come close to the sound of a real AC30TB, instead of Brian Mays thick ass licks I get Toby Keiths background guitar, for shame. Its also a little dissapointing that Korg removed the cabinet model dial which contributed a large part to tone. There are also a large number of lame factory presets that are programmed into this pedal, thank god for user presets, also, in my opinion the pitch shifters, Wah and talk modulations are pretty useless, the acoustic simulator(#22) on the other hand sounds great w/ single coil p/ups .
The Job this pedal is best suited for is playing through no amp at all, this thing was made for headphones or recording into a mixer. Whenever I use this I always plug into headphones because its sounds a million times better than it will through any amp.

Reliability : 4
This is where this thing gets sketchy. This thing is like 95% plastic and it feels like if you dropped it it would shatter into a million pieces, the expression pedal also feels a little dangerous, Play gently.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Seems okay never really dealt with them but you can register your warranty online!!! cool

I play 70's rock ala Hendrix, Trower and Zeppelin, This box is the best for recording i've ever used, Its great I bring it every where with just a pair of headphones and its like bringing a whole shitload of amps with you in a tiny old box. If it were stolen id probably get a crispy creme Treble Booster instead of buying another one of these. If you want great sound, seamless recording and dont "Stomp" on you stomp boxes the AX10g is for you.

This box is kind of intuitive programming and you only have to try a few hours so you can find your own sound really fast without reading the manual ever and ever. This thing is made from musicians, not from technicals :-))

Sound Quality : 10
AWESOME SOUND!!!!
THIS BOX REALLY ROCKS!!!
It's got it all!! I was looking for a great Amp-Modeller for to use direct in the PA for gigging, recording in studio, and practice in the middle of the night.
You can do that with ONLY this box! The sounds you have programmed at home for example, are the same sounds into PA or in the studio.
So DAVID, you are wrong!!! This Box have Cabinet-Modelling of course!!! But it's programmed for automatical use in every Amp-Model!! So tell me, who will choose a 1x10 Tweed-Box when he select a Marshall JCM800 in the Amp-Modeller-Section???? I think, nobody would do that! Korg have (for that Model) integrated a 4x12 Cabinet-Simulation for that. There's a switch too, that allows you to choose the LINE (with automatical Cabinet-Simulation!), or the AMP way. (AMP way is without automatical Cabinet-Simulation!)
By the way, I had the other stuff too...POD, VAMP-2, DG-Stomp, AX1500G, AX100G, Digitech RP100, GT-6....this Box (imho) kicks them off the range!!
O.k. rectifier is much better on the POD, but all the dynamic in the other Amp-Models is amazing! Marshall sounds from the 70's, 80's and modern, you will find them here, and they sounds different!!!! just like there originals.
So don't forget the VOX AC15 and AC30TB models. They just sounds like them on the VOX Tonelab SE! wich is for 590,- Euro..., Fender Amp-Models are really great too! Stereo-Output, High-Low-Switch for Input... and so on.
THIS BOX ROCK's!!!

Reliability : 8
Just like I mentioned before, i had the AX1500G for a long time, ...never had any problems. So I hope, (and i think), this AX10G is hard enough for my use.
There is other stuff, that really sucks ? for example the Vamp-2 who lost his presets one day cause of a problem with the battery-holder in it. and all my work was damaged! ...I would give it a 8 cause the Box isn't made in metall.

Customer Support : No Opinion

Overall Rating : 10
Nothing more to say ? it's got the tube-sounds that i need.
There's no muddy sounds in it, you will be hear with that thing.
other stuff has not that clear sound, effects are good too, Chorus could be better, but it's o.k.! It doesn't matter if you create a Amp-sound with more or less gain.... it sounds great and have that punch you need from a Amp-Modeller. Thats why I bought it ? the other stuff is breathless in minor-gain-settings.
I play guitar for over 29 years and today with 39 i can say i like that Box.
I play cover-rock, TOTO, AC/DC, STATUS QUO, GARY MOORE, THIN LIZZY....and so on.
If it were stolen, I would buy a new one. Stop searching in Multi-Effects if you are no Internet-Tone-Guy and you really use that for your tone. You don't need the 32 Amp-Models, you don't need 340 Places (GT-6) for programming ? 40 is enough. Buy it! there's nothing you can make wrong....
