i use a ibanez grx20 into a no name tube amp but i love the sound i get out of this thing.so far i found that its very silent and i can get a very dstorted sound which comes close to metallica or pantera.i love the distortion on this monster.

Reliability : 10
i can depend on it solid metal case has been through alot and shows no sign of failing me in the future. i gigged with it without bringing a backup very reliable.

i love this pedal if it were stolen id beat the living sh*t out of the as*hole.ive been playing for three years i would definitely buy another one if it were lost or stolen,i love the versitility in tweaking effects.I originally went into the store with the intent of buy the digitech rp 300 after much trial i decided this was the best one for the money and i dont regret it,(digitech rp300 sounds very digital.)

While I have to admit that this is the first effects unit I have owned, it's a breeze to use. The manual is OK, but mostly not required as the box is self explanatory. The preset effects themselves are always there, but you can use the editing capability to modify and store them really easily.

Sound Quality : 8
I agree with another reviewer - it's dead quiet. I too am using it with a cheap and cheerfull Squier setup - but that's exactly why I wanted it - to improve my sound!! If I had a great set up already, then why would I need the box.
I don't understand the lack of warm tones comment in another review - but then we're all different - I like it's range, but think there's too much emphasis on the distortion effects, or maybe my 50 year old ears are so destroyed that I can't differentiate noise very well!!
The accoustic effect is very artificial to my ear, but I didn't but it for that.

Reliability : 10
I have had it for a couple of months, and used it everyday with no problems.

I play Chicago Blues and find it excellect for that style. I have been playing for over 30 years, and wish this beast had been around then! I'd certainly buy another if it were stolen, and judging by the jealous reaction of some friends, that's a possibility.
I chose in on the basis on an enthusiastic magazine review, adn the enthusiasm of the salesman who demonstarted it too me - He thought it was excellent value, and so do I.

I've tried several multieffect processor before, I found korg AX1500G is much more easier. Here's the work flow, first turn to the desire knob than edit the parameter you wish to change then store it in a desired bank. Since the parameter is not as complicated as gfx 8, this is why i said its much more easier.

The manual was written in 23 pages with the contents page at the very front page but there's no index at the end of the manual. (small matter since it's only 23 pages) and I've got no problem with it.

Sound Quality : 6
i use this unit with jem junior and fender strat through marshall valvestate.
I found this unit very quite plus it has noise reduction with maximum level up to 10 with default value at 6. (default value works just nice at home, i have not try this unit at any live occasion yet).
personally i don't really use distortion in any digital effect processor because i prefer original tube sound so i don't want to put any comment on it. The only sound i like in the distortion channel is the acoustic simulator.
The effect I?ve used a lot was the modulation and the pedal, the wah pedal sounds almost like the analog wah pedal (I really like it) the pitch bend effect sounds very smooth.

Reliability : 6
i only depend on the modulation and pedal effect (certain pedal i may use it for backup) but for modulation is ok.

not yet.

I like it looks, and the ease of use of it. The thing i hate is that you can't activate most of the pedal and modulation simultaneously. If you have limited budget but want a rock star like sound you may want to think for this processor, it's cheap and practical.

This is about as easy as it gets. Only thing I really missed was the manual, as mine was in German. If you can read the labels and turn a knob you'll get the sounds you like. But what you should notice is the color coded knob explanation chart. The footswitches are easy to use, although it sometimes is confusing to enter certain modes.

If I figured this pedal out on my own, then it can't be that hard. Operation is easy after you get the hang of it, no problem with that either. Only switching the bank down is tricky, because you have to press two switches at once.

I'm using the AX1500G with a customized Squier Strat through a Fender Frontman 15G. Well, my gear isn't great, but they sound good, because of the SD pickups I installed, I think they even sound better than a real Fender.

But the Korg just works wonders. I can copy pretty much every sound I've heard, even though it doesn't offer the versatility of a POD. The distortions are great, and ballsy enough to play real heavy music. I listen mainly to Dream Theater, Dimmu Borgir, Children of Bodom, Mayhem and Iron Maiden, and so far there isn't a single sound I've missed. Of course I can't really say whether it suits your needs, as I don't really play 'easier' music.

I can't either say much about the cabinet sims as I don't really use them. In my opinion they disturb the distortions too much. And I just love the mods... they sound great. Especially the phasers and choruses kick ass. But on the downside the octaves and pitch shifters I consider useless. And I can't say anything bad about the pedal effects, only that the Vox Wah is too sensitive for me. Other than that, the pedal FX are great. Only that I rarely use the delay and S&P FX, and I can't really comment on them. The ambiences are good, especially the Multi-Head Echo. But I don't use them, so other people can judge them.

Reliability : 10
Well, it's sturdy. Made outta metal, well, need you say more? And I don't think I'll have to worry about it breaking down on gigs.

Can't say, haven't needed.

Overall Rating : 10
Overall, this is exactly the thing I should've bought. For my kind of music it has everything I need. And the cost was unbelievably low, almost 700 FIM ($100!) less than bought from Finland! Yeah, Finland is expensive.

The multitude and quality of the effects is great, although I haven't much experimented on other multieffect boards. With the GT3 being 1000 FIM more expensive, this is a great buy.

Hi folks!

This AX 1500 G is the update of the well known AX 1000 G. You will find a lot of reviews about this model here...

It is really easy to work with that "luxury stompbox" if you know how to turn a poti. Even if somebody has no experience except stomp boxes there will be no problem to use this thing. The manual is only useful in a few features but at least there is one... ;-)

I tried this unit with a standard strat, an double-humbucker-Ibanez, an acoustic guitar with EMF-B-Band-Pickup and an ol' archtop with shadow pickup and went directly into the P.A.

First impression: WOWWWW! It's silent even with high-gain-settings. The sound is really heavy from this little thing!

But after a while I missed good clean sounds. There is absolutely no good warm, mellow, clean sound. I looked for chrunchy noises and I was disappointed again. So I couldn't get any SRV, Clapton or Police-things out of this. Making "Van Halen" seemed to be easy, but I missed that famous "something" in the sound.

Plugged in the acoustic without the modelling section was disappointing, too. It sounded digital in the negative way.

The unit is NOT BAD at all. But for me, it sucks.

I tried it for three days at home and with a band. If I liked it, I would depend on it with absolutely no doubt!

Close, but no cigar! Even not a cigarette, to be honest. I brought it back into the shop after three days to get a Line 6 POD, which was much more expensive but did the job!

I liked the metal-box, it is easy to use but it doesn't sound the way I like. If KORG would change the sound, I would try it again.

To be fair: If you like High-Gain, try it! If you want warm and mellow sounds, forget it.
