Chromatic Tuner, batteries included.(GC, Oct. 2005) LCD display with very fine line thickness for its VU meter, to get "top dead center" (My Cousin Vinnie) accuracy. Also has red and green flat/sharp lights for further away simple understanding of your tuning progress. Has some sort of small and unobtrusive major 3rd and minor 3rd VU meter displayed arrows technique, too, that you can use to get a "pure" major and minor third tuning above or below a note of your choosing. Doubt I'll use that, but it is part of the tuner for those who may have a use for it. Nice thin compact housing in flat black with a nice texture, rather than the past fake chrome look of other models. (that wears off and looks cheap over time) Very smart appearance and will fit easily into the compartment of a guitar case; a couple of the reasons I bought it. Offers chromatic tuning at octaves you will most likely use, but its sound capability is only 12 notes, but I believe you can shift the 12 notes by changing the first note of the sound function by holding it down longer. Some confusion over how you take advantage of this chromatic sound capability (why the 9), but very straight forward with regard to just using it on a guitar, for example, for various tunings. One really great feature is the ability to shift the calibration between 410 and 480 Hz so that you can calibrate a little higher and then tune up to learn songs off of CDs where the artist was slightly sharped. Very clever design incorporates a slot in the back of the unit where you would insert a wallet card to act as a support to make the unit face you. This rather than some cheap hinge that would break off if dropped. Nice sensitivity; you do not have to get very close to your acoustic for it to work. So if you are changing strings, you could just have it nearby and use it to get you close before the final serious tuning.

Have had it only a few days and it is superb so far. Not much to say here. It works fine. I do not plug into it and only use it on an acoustic guitar.

I really like this tuner. I compared it to the intellitouch which reviews by others had highly rated, and the intellitouch seemed really flimsy and reminded me of Engineers who use pocket protectors for their pens and pencils, over-doing it if you will. This Korg tuner does the job just fine for home use and wreaks of forethought, accuracy, and precision, all in an impressively smart design for those who do not feel the need to tune up constantly. Would definitely get another if needed.

Very simple. First tuner I have ever touched. Did not read the directions. 20 min. of doodling (not tring very hard) have a nicely tuned bass. Didn't read manual.

Ummmm setup is easy. Push a button for bass or guitar. Push a button for pitch reference continue to push to cycle through notes. push to down tune continue to push to cycle through number of half steps.

I've droped a few times, knocked it over. and the same battery in since i bought it a year ago. It's the only one I've used. will buy a new one if something happens to this one.

The only tuner I've had and prolly the only one I'll use. A good cheap tuner period.

Very easy to use. Cromatic tuner shows all notes including sharps/flats. It also has a callabtration feature as well as a mic for tunning accoustic insterments. Lastly it has a small speaker for sounding out tones of the cromatic scale at the callabration you have set.

Great tuner! It is the best I believe in it's price range. I found tunning to be balls on useing this tuner. I used the mic feature against my keybaord and it locked on the right note and was right in tune with it.

The CA-30 kicks butt. I also have used the GA-30 and tunes as well as the CA-30 butt I like the CA-30's features better, so it is all the matter of tatse. If your looking for a great tuner for not alot of $$$ consider this tuner or even the GA-30.
