Ease of Use : 8
easy as cheesy gets, just plug in and tune. nice display of note and sound. manual is boring but they all are. ok not real ez because i didnt know what the flat and major symbols were until recently. so less points for that, but this was only when i was drop tuning for the first time didnt know whats what.

Sound Quality : 9
good i guess i cant tell if it takes tone or not.

Reliability : 10
very nice make, good solid metal and protected glass shield, seems made for wear and tear.

Heres my gear: Fender Deville 212, Telecaster, Metal Muff - Boss dd3 - Boss dm3 - Boss bd2 - Verbzilla - Boss bf3 - Tremelo pulse - Small clone - Korg DT10.

Overall Rating : 10
Does what a tuner is supposed to and does it well, because it looks nice and is fast and accurate and is bright, easy to read and its CHEAP! Ive been around tuners since ive been playing for 12 years so I wouldn't steer you in the wrong direction, if you got a pedal board then get this.

Ease of Use : 10
Its very easy to use,,it comes with a manual which seems very informative especially beause you can set it up to tune many different tunings but I didnt spend time reading it because I only use standard tunings and it is set to default to standard tuning

Sound Quality : 10
I dont notice any added noise what so ever out of this unit, I own the dt-10bk,,the black one and dont know if there is any difference than the silver,,,anyways I run it first in my effects loop of my boogie rectoverb then into an EQ,chorus, delay, reverb. I wasnt sure about putting it right before the EQ because if it did create any noise the EQ would deffinatly boost it. No problem with noise what so ever. All these effects are powered by my visual sound 1 spot.
Like I said it offers many different tunings but I only use the default standard. I found the lights on the tuner to very bright, you would have no problem seeing this pedal on a dark stage. No prob at all,,very nice. All in all I am very glad I purchased this tuner,,it makes my life easier, does its job well,,no probs, no noise,,and deffinatly seems to be very well made. A professional looking and feeling unit.

Reliability : 10
Excellent quality,,would deffinatly use in a gig.

Customer Support : No Opinion
never spoke to them

Overall Rating : 10
I hate nothing about it,,,im very happy with the purchase,,other than doing its job very well,,,it looks very proffessional

Just plug your guitar, decide if you want output or bypass exit, and tune. It's all already set to standard if you don't need flat tunings it's ready to go.

Sound Quality : 10
I can't hear any difference with or without the tuner on my effect chain. And no hum or noise whatsoever.

Reliability : No Opinion
bought yesterday. hope it lasts.

Customer Support : No Opinion
hope I won't need it.

Been playing for 23 years. Stratocaster with fender deville and 7 effetcs already on my chain. I put it on first place before the wah, using ac power.
Great construction, feels very solid and very elegant too. The lights are very alive, great analog-like lighting of the tuning leds. Gets the note immediately, great precision. I'm very pleased with it. I'm glad I didn't go for the boss tu-2 or planet waves. It really looks like a professional rack mount unit in a small pedal shape.

Uh, you plug in and step on the button, and you can tune your guitar. There are some other features you can play with such as different tuning modes, but it comes with a manual. You can also use it as a power source for your other pedals, and it comes with a 3 spot daisy chain. I haven't tried it out yet. What's really great about it, though, is how easy it is to see. If the lights are out, it will light up the room.

Sound Quality : 10
Some people claim it's not true-bypass and that it drains their sound...I haven't noticed, and even if it does, no one will notice in a live setting.

A big advantage to this tuner is Korg claims it to be accurate within +-1 cent. Everyone seems to buy the Boss TU-2, which can be off as much as 3 cents. The human ear hears in 2 cent increments. Therefore, the TU-2 is inadequate. Where people justify buy the TU-2 is the reliability...

Reliability : 10
I haven't gigged out with it yet; however, my bass player has had it for 2 years, gigged out regularly, and never had a problem with it...and he has a heavy foot. My backup tuner for live sound is my ear.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with them.

Overall Rating : 10
The only other thing in comparison is the Boss TU-2, which is less accurate. The display is way easier to read on the DT-10, plus it comes with a daisy chain and can power your other pedals. For me, it came down to a comparison between the two, and the Korg is obviously superior. Plus, I have the black model, which is 100 bucks. You can get the silver model at American Musical Supply for 90, which is ten bucks cheaper than the TU-2. Why did I get the black model, you ask? Because it has blue LEDs, which look really cool.

I found the unit easy to use and quite accurate.

Sound Quality : 8
I didn't find it colored my tone particulary.

Reliability : 2
I used it lightly for a year. Soon afterwards, once the warantee period was up, the switch went out. The local warantee shop wanted $80.00 just to open it up!!! That's what I'd paid for it!!!

Customer Support : 2
I called KORG and got some guy with a heavy New Joisy accent. He sympathized and checked to see if the part was available. It turned out that not one single part was available. In other words, KORG builds these as cheap throw-away units. How many more cents would it have cost them to use a better quality switch? Hey, live and learn. I won't be buying anything else from KORG.Maybe I'll send it back-- give them the pleasure of throwing it in the local landfill. This seems incredibly irresponsible from an environmental standpoint. But then again, we're deep in the reign of King George the 2nd. and so we can't expect environmental factors to count for much!

Overall Rating : 1
I liked this unit well enough while it worked, but after the gentle treatment I gave it, for it to break down after a year is just unacceptable to me.

Ease of Use : 10
Very easy to use. It's very straightforward and self explanitory...comes with a nice manual, but it really isn't needed.

Sound Quality : 10
It is listed as true bypass, some say this is correct and others argue that it isn't....either way, it does not effect my signal or sound in any way at all.

Reliability : 10
I've only had it for 6 months now, but just look at the thing....it's like a damn tank!!! Solid, large, steel chasis with a very sturdy switch.

Customer Support : No Opinion
I've never had to deal with Korg. I've owned newer Vox amps and the smaller Korg tuners and I've never had a problem with them, so I can't really rate this catagory.

Overall Rating : 10
I won't bore everyone, but I've been playing about 12 years. Gear includes:

Amps: Fender Super Reverb, Fender SuperSonic 60W combo, Marshall JCM60,

Guitars: Tele Deluxe reissue, Custom made (by me) Tele, Jazzmaster, Jay Turser JT-200 (bought it as my "beat the crap out of it" guitar), but it has surprised me!..and I also just purchased a Melody Maker.

FX: (not in order) Korg DT-10, Ibanez TS-808, Boss PSM-5 (power supply/loop), Boss TR-2, MXR PHASE 100, Fulltone Fulldrive 2, Maxon CS-9, Guyatone ST2 Compressor, Ernie Ball volume, Behringer V-Amp 2 (not a bad little bedroom practice gadget!)

My previous tuner was the Boss TU-2, because it was the only game in town. It started to crap out on me at the same time I saw the Korg DT-10 so I gave away my Boss to my bandmate and bought the Korg on a whim. I am very pleased with it...I like it a lot better than the boss...it's easier to read with the large LED and I may be wrong, but I think it's more accurate for a stompbox tuner. I was going to send this back if I didn't like it and just buy a new TU-2, but It's a keeper. Also, doesn't seem to suck batteries like the boss either. Only complaint (and it's not really a complaint), but it would rock if it came with the ac power adapter standard....but it's rare for that to happen these days.

This review is for the recently upgraded black model of the DT-10 (now officially called the DT-10BK). This would be pretty difficult to use if you were blind or had no knowledge of the electric guitar. It has awesomely bright blue and white lighting with a huge red LED that lets you know what key you're in. The tuner can get confused if you try to change strings too rapidly, but this lag is very minute and forgettable. The manual is helpful if you want to mess with the semitone/flat tuning calibrations. I don't. I wish they would've specified some of the differences from the previous silver DT-10 other than color, though. I haven't used the silver DT-10 but I'm guessing that this is probably the exact same thing.

Sound Quality : 10
This isn't true bypass but that doesn't bother me. The only thing the buffer seems to affect is battery life (according to the manual), and I plan on using a power adapter.

Reliability : No Opinion
I haven't gigged it, but the heavy, metal casing seems fairly dependable. I'll refrain from making a rating here because it hasn't been put to the test (I've only had it for about five hours).

Customer Support : No Opinion
I haven't needed customer support yet.

Overall Rating : 9
The only thing I have to say against this pedal is that Korg tried to answer some of the complaints about the lack of 9v power out ability (like the Boss TU-2 has) by including a five-way daisy chain adapter and charging $10 more, which seems like a lame cop-out. Once upon a time the primary appeal of the DT-10 was that it was considered to be at least as good as the Boss TU-2, but cost $10 less. Since that's no longer true, I guess you'll just have to flip a coin or something. I decided to go with it anyway just because in my town everyone uses a TU-2 because everyone else uses a TU-2, and I thought that seemed silly. I'm actually not that huge a fan of Boss pedals in general so I just wanted something different and functional, and the DT-10 fits that bill.

Very simple to use if you know how to work a tuner. Heavy-duty looking metal construction. Bright and easy to read even in the darkest rooms. Very accurate and not "jumpy" like some other tuners.

Sound Quality : 8
My setup: Fender Jazz Bass--->Tech 21 Bass Driver--->Korg DT-10--->Hartke HA3000. I dont notice any extra noise that wasnt already there before adding the DT-10,(Damn single coils). Not sure if its a true bypass or not, but I dont notice the tuner altering my tone at all.

Reliability : 8
Only time will tell of course, but it has been good so far. If you take decent care of your equipment it should last you.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Havent dealt with Korg, DT-10 comes with 1 year warranty.

Overall Rating : 8
Been playing bass and acoustic guitar for about 6 years. Currently playing bass in a rock band doing covers and alternative/hard rock originals. Needed a pedal tuner that was reliable and accurate. I like its sleek apperance and ease of use. Only thing I wish it had was a DC-9v Out, so you could have the ability to power other 9v pedals from it. I also purchased the adapter with it since I hate dealing with batteries. I compared it with the Boss TU-2(mixed reviews, heard it didnt work as well with bass), Peterson Strobostomp(great reviews but too expensive), and the Sabine NEX5000(had a true bypass feature, but a few lousy reviews regrading durability).

Overall the DT-10 is a great pedal tuner at a decent price.

If you have been hooked on analog needle display tuners, and do not like the typical "jumpy" digital motion LED tuners, consider this one. Why? This thing has the best of both worlds, digital accuracy with analog movement. Very bright display that can be read outdoors in sunlight. This this is built to last.

Sound Quality : 10
I do not use any pedals as my style for the past 35 years has been chord melody jazz. I've have tried my D'Angelico EXL-1, Gibson ES-165, Gibson Super 400, Ibanez George Benson, and Ibanez AF-120 archtop through this tuner. It's clean. This pedal has a VERY transparent buffer amp inside of it that does not alter your tone. I was worried about adding a pedal between the guitar and the amp, this thing is super clean and does not effect clean tone. Love it!!! The mute option and bypass options are fantastic. This tuner also has a great drop tuning feature for a bunch of drop tuning settings. I bought the 9V adapter and leave everything plugged-in without worrying about battery drain. Why mess with a 9V battery at $4.95 a piece? After two or three batterys, you would come out ahead dollar wise with the adapter at $12.95. You guys with the pedal boards know what I mean. Get the 9V adapter, it's worth the money.

I benchmarked a bunch of floor tuners. I tried the Boss TU-2, Fender PT100, Peterson StroboStomp, Arion HU-8500, Danelectro DJ-11. The Korg DT-10 had the most features, the best meter movement, was the easiest to read, the most durable, and also looked like a state-of-the-art piece of equipment.

Reliability : 10
On of the best build pedals I've ever seen. A thick casted aluminum housing makes it smash proof. This thing has a nice high tech surgical look. Nice eye candy while you play. Love it! If something happened to this thing, I would be another in a heartbeat.

Customer Support : No Opinion
Never dealt with Korg directly. Most folks distributing their products back-up their quality policies and waranties.

Overall Rating : 10
I have been playing archtops for 35 years. This is the 9th tuner I have owned over the years. It is hands-down the best I have owned so far. My other tuners have either been dropped, switches quit working, battery door falls off, stolen, or backlit display goes dim. I think Korg got this right. I must say, the "analog-like" motion of the LED's really sold me. The other floor tuners I mentioned did not have this extra behavior. Also, and the metal ousing contruction seemed bullet proof. I bought it through Musicians Friend online. They matched Sam Ash's special that week at $79 and threw in free shipping since I bought the adapter.

really easy. Click the footswitch and start tuning. The bright led lets you know what "note" you are on/closest to and then the bright chromatic LEDs tell you how your pitch is. Really accurate. Cheaper than the boss.

Sound Quality : 10
I don't notice it effecting my tone.
my rig:
Mexi Fat Strat> Dunlop Crybaby Wah> Fulltone Fulldrive II> Korg DT-10> Line 6 DL-4> Mesa Subway Blues 1x10 all tube combo.

Reliability : 10
I've had it for like 2 weeks and have totaly loved it. I would use it without backup. If I ever had a problem I would borrow a tuner from somebody else. So far so good. Built in a solid medal housing. I would trust it over the boss.
